The Secret Place
There's a place carved out for you that is abundant with God's unconditional love and His protection.
In this week's episode, understand how you can access this place and stay there always - untouched and unaffected by the chaos of the world, flourishing in God's love.
“He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
- Psalms 91:4
Last week we heard from the Word of God about being in the rest of the Most High, and I will continue on those lines today. But I want to start today and talk to you about the love that God has for you and me, everlasting love. And I want to tell you today that his, his love brings his protection. And all of us here are human and, of course, we know that there is a protective instinct that is associated with love, and we all know that whoever we love, we tend to be protective about them. But, as I said, we are human and our love has limits. And yet we know love, and yet we know we get protective about people with the limited love that we have. But God has everlasting love for you and me. He has everlasting love for us, for you and me. He has everlasting love for us and because he loves you this morning and that's why I wanted to start with this he has compassion on you and he protects you. Don't be mistaken about it. Jesus protects you because he protects you. Don't be mistaken about it. Jesus protects you because he loves you. And I'm going directly into the word of God from Psalm 107, 19 and 20. And this passage of scripture says then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he saved them out of their distress Psalm 107, 19 and 20. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he saved them out of their distresses. He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. Hallelujah, what a beautiful passage of scripture. You call out to him in a time of distress and he will answer you and he will deliver you from the situation, because he loves you. If you need a healing or you're in a situation you don't understand and don't know what to do, go to the Bible and you will know His love for you. And I'm here to tell you today that you are protected from the Most High, god Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, the Great. I Am the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Alpha and the tribe of Judah, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. And he protects you because he loves you and I'm going to share His protection with you this morning from Psalm. In Psalm 91, the first verse says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Hallelujah. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, there's a special, special secret place in the most high. There's a secret place in God, and I'll tell you this morning that secret place is Jesus, the secret place is his word, and I've shared this before and I'll share it again.
Speaker 1:Set aside a few minutes in your day to read the word of God from the Bible or your Bible app, whatever works for you. Don't think that God is not into technology. Don't think that, oh, I have to read it from the physical book. I mean, it's nothing like reading it from the Bible in physical form. But in case you didn't know, the scripture and most of you do in the beginning was the word. The word was with God and the word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. The word is Jesus. His secret place is Jesus. His secret place is the word.
Speaker 1:And you'll say I'm very busy. You don't understand. I have so many things to juggle and so many things to do from the moment I wake up till the time that I sleep. I don't have time. You make time and read from His word, read from His Bible, read from your Bibles and then you are soaked daily in his word. And when you are soaked daily in his word, then you are in a secret place and then you abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Oh, there's a shelter in his word. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, oh, hallelujah. So take some time and make the time possible. Even if you take out a few minutes, sit with the word of God, connect with the best lifeline you can ever. Connect and you will be, and you will abide in the shadow of the great. I am Hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And then it goes on to say surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the great. I am Hallelujah. And then it goes on to say surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. Amen, oh, he will deliver you from the traps set by the one who comes to lie, steal and destroy. He will pull you out of those situations. Whatever disease, epidemic is known on the planet, he will protect you from it, and that's what the scripture says. The perilous pestilence, that's what it is, something that comes to destroy. He will protect you from it. It is in the word of God, in Psalm 91.3, and you mark it out. He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He will deliver you from those small little traps that are put here and there, and you should believe it this morning. It's his word and the Bible says he is watching over his word to perform it. So you should know that as this word is released, you are being protected, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And then this beautiful psalm in 91.4 goes on to say he shall cover you with his feathers. Hallelujah, he shall cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will take refuge and his truth shall be your shield and buckler. Oh, he will put his arms around you during the storms of life and his truth shall be your shield and buckler. Oh, he will put his arms around you during the storms of life. Oh, he will engulf you in his love that nothing will touch you. Hey, you won't even know it's there or it's even happening. Believe it. He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will take refuge how beautiful is that. And his truth shall be your shield and buckler. Let me tell you what's his truth. His truth. I am the way, the truth and the life. There is only one person who could say that and who can ever say that His truth. I am the way, the truth and the life. Oh hallelujah, his truth Shall be your shield and buckler, his Yeshua Jesus. Jesus Is your shield and buckler, his life, his death, his resurrection. What he did on that cross for you and me is your everlasting protection. And know that this beautiful morning, oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And in case you don't know what's a shield and a buckler a buckler is a smaller shield for for what I would call close contact, combat. When it's come too close to you, you still have a buckler, and a shield is for further distance. Oh, we, we fight with things that are not from this planet. Don't think you're fighting that person in the office who sits next to you and plays those politics, or that person who's sitting in the other office in some other country who's trying to subdue you. Those things are nothing. We are on this planet against a spiritual war, and that's why Jesus said I'm not from this realm. If I had to call those, you would not be able to take me to the cross. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Yeshua is your shield and your buckler, oh, hallelujah. And I want to tell you this morning he took lashes on his back for you that you remain protected, aligned to his word by the stripes that you bore on your back. Oh Lord, we are already healed, already healed, hallelujah, amen, oh, he will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will take refuge, hallelujah. And the fifth and the sixth goes on to say you shall not be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in the darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday, day, afternoon, evening, night, it does not matter. Come hail, storm, sunshine, rain, it does not matter. You are protected by the Most High. His blood protects you, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And listen to the next verse A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right, but it shall not come near you, amen. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked, because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the most high, your dwelling place. Amen, hallelujah, for when you see things taking over the planet, when you see things taking over things around you, thousand things taking over the planet, when you see things, taking over things around you. Thousand at your side, 10,000 at your right hand that means it's taking whatever it might be, it's taking everyone around you, or it will not even come near you. His word says hallelujah, oh hallelujah, or he will, or he will. Oh, he will stand outside your door. Oh, hallelujah, it will not come near you. No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling, for he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in your ways and in their hands. They shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone. Oh, beautiful Jesus even protects your households. He protects your homes. Oh, he is the one who has set the fence outside for you, not anyone else. Nobody can define that fence, but jesus, because he's purchased you with his expensive, priceless blood. That's a heavy price that he paid, and now he sets the boundaries. Hallelujah, no evil will befall you, no plague will even come near your dwelling. Oh, you absolutely need to mark down Psalm 91. It's a psalm of protection, and meditate on that beautiful psalm and you will understand what he does for you and me Every day. The Bible says His mercies are new every morning. These are the small mercies that you don't see, you can't write them down. And why? Because he loves you, hallelujah. Your homes, your households, the people around you sometimes get protected because of you. They're all under the protection of the Most High. He won't even let your foot dash against the stone. And if ever ever there even might be a slight chance of something small coming up, the Bible says he will give charge to the angels concerning you and they will protect you. And that's how much he loves you. And in case you're thinking, thinking why? The angels for the small things, people for the small things that he does not need to get involved in? They're there for those. For the large things, he will come himself, oh, hallelujah. For the large things, he will come himself. Hey, that's my daughter, hey, that's my son. Don't you dare. I'm coming myself. Oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:The 13th and the 14th verse. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, and the young lion and the serpent, and you shall trample on the foot. Because he has sent his love upon me, hallelujah. Because he has sent his love upon me. Therefore, because he has sent his love upon me, therefore, I will deliver him. I will set him on high because he has known my name. Oh, hallelujah, I want to tell you this morning, this day, that you have to change the attitude that you have, because Psalm 91, 13 and 14 that you have to change the attitude that you have Because Psalm 91, 13 and 14 says you will tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent, and you will trample on the foot.
Speaker 1:You will trample them on the foot. And you need to change your attitude this morning and look at things in a very, very different way, because I want to tell you that the Bible says you do not have a spirit of timidity. You do not, and change the way you approach things at work or otherwise, or any other situation around you. You do not have the spirit of timidity in you, because this scripture says you will tread upon the spirit of timidity in you, because this scripture says you will tread upon the lion and the cobra and you will trample it underfoot. You will trample them under your foot. Now you have to change your attitude this morning Towards things that come towards you.
Speaker 1:And you know his name. I will set him on high Because he has known my name. Oh, you know his name. Wait, let me just absolutely rephrase this for you. He knows your name, hallelujah, of course you know his name. He's the name above all names and you've been chosen and handpicked to know his name. But, oh, I'm taking it to the next level and telling you this morning he knows your name, he has your name engraved on the palm of his hand. Hallelujah, oh, change the way you look at things this day onwards.
Speaker 1:And the 15th and the 16th verse says oh and listen, this is for somebody here this morning.
Speaker 1:He shall call upon me and I will answer him and I will be with him in trouble and I will deliver him and honor him. Hallelujah, with long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation, oh, hallelujah. Oh. It's beautiful, the 15th and the 16th verse, and I'm going to read it again for you. He shall call upon me and I will answer him and I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver and honor him. Oh, god will answer him and I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver and honor him. Oh God will deliver you, not your 3am friend, not your boss, not your relative, not that uncle who has a huge bank balance or a huge empire to take care of. No, no, no, nothing, none of that will work. But the Most High, he will deliver you and he will honor you. He will honor you. You don't have to seek honor yourself. He will honor you. His word says, and he will satisfy you with long life, amen, hallelujah. With long life, he will satisfy you, aside to the fact that all the blessings are already to you With that, he'll throw in long life, hallelujah. And he will show you his salvation, hallelujah. He has already shown us his salvation when he sent his son on this planet, yeshua. He will show you his Yeshua, oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Don't be mistaken, this beautiful day, he loves you. He absolutely loves you. He came down on this planet for you and me. He loves you, he absolutely loves you. He came down on this planet for you and me. He willingly, willingly, took up a cross for you and me. He gave up his life on that cross for you and me. It was a curse to be on a cross and he took up the curse for you and me. Oh, he loves you.
Speaker 1:This beautiful day, this beautiful morning, don't be mistaken by even a small allowance of a doubt. Oh, do not be mistaken. He loves you. And because he loves you and because you know his name because he knows yours, the beautiful people of the Most, most high. You are in his protection and you go and mark out Psalm 91 and read it and meditate on it and decide and make a decision today. From today onwards, I will rest in the shadow of the most high and his rest is in his word. His rest is in Jesus.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, dear lord, I thank you for this beautiful word. I thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. Lord, I thank you for this beautiful psalm, this psalm of protection, psalm 91, that is yea and amen. In your name and in your blood, sealed in your blood to everyone who knows your name, and in your blood, sealed in your blood to everyone who knows your name, that they rest in your shelter, they rest under your feathers, under your wings. Everyone that hears this word is under your protection. Lord, hallelujah, thank you for this beautiful time. Lord, thank you for your presence, thank you for your love, thank you for what you did on that cross for us. Lord, you're holy, lord, holy, holy, holy Lord, god Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Amen.
