Speaker 1:

Today, I want to take you to two different time zones from the Bible and I want to talk to you about faith, and faith of two individuals from the Bible One from a time when Jesus was on this planet and one from a time when Jesus had not yet stepped on this planet. And I'm excited to get right into the word of God this beautiful day. But before I do that, this is for someone here and you're trying to this beautiful day. But before I do that, this is for someone here and you're trying to you're trying for something to happen for some time now, I believe. I believe it's for something to change. I do not know the specifics of it, but it is for a change, and maybe it's a personal family situation, maybe it's financial, maybe it's a job situation. This is for you and you can mark this down in your Bibles.

Speaker 1:

First Corinthians, the third chapter, the seventh verse from the Word of God who gives the increase, hallelujah. So then, neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase, the one who plants and the one who waters refers to you and your efforts towards the situation, and I want to tell you today, aligned to the word of God that it's nothing, because increase belongs to the Lord. And I want to add my own here, my own words here Growth belongs to the Lord, restoration belongs to the Lord, everything belongs to the Lord. And I want to add my own here, my own words here growth belongs to the Lord, restoration belongs to the Lord, everything belongs to the Lord, hallelujah. So, whatever it is you're striving for today, leave it at the feet of the Creator and he will bring increase into your situation. He will bring growth, he will bring change, he will bring restoration. But trust Him, and trust Him alone, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And I'd like to go back to the story that I wanted to share with you this morning, and the first one comes from a time when Jesus is on the planet, and the Bible says Jesus has entered a place called Capernaum, a city called Capernaum. And I'm reading to you directly from the word of God, from the book of Matthew, the eighth chapter, the fifth verse onwards. Matthew, the eighth chapter, the fifth verse onwards A centurion came to him, pleading with him, saying Lord, my servant is lying at home, paralyzed, dreadfully tormented, and Jesus said to him I will come and heal him. And the centurion answered and says to him Lord, I am NOT worthy that you come under my roof, but only speak a word and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say to this one, go, and he goes. And I say to another, come, and he comes. And to my servant do this, and he does it. And when Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, assuredly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel.

Speaker 1:

Now we all know that Jesus went around with his disciples preaching the good news of the kingdom of God. He healed the sick, he freed the oppressed, he gave the blind their sight, he healed the lepers, the lame walked, the blind saw, the dead got up and were made alive. And in the midst of all that, while he has just entered Capernaum, he meets the centurion. And I write to you directly from the word of God, from Matthew 8 chapter, the fifth verse onwards, and then in the 13th verse. Jesus said to the centurion go your way, as you have believed, so let it be done for you. And his servant was healed. That same hour the Bible says Hallelujah Go your way, as you have believed. So let it be done for you.

Speaker 1:

And the Bible says that Jesus marveled. That's a strong word, isn't it? Jesus marveled at the centurion's faith and told the ones following him, assuredly I say to you I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel. Hallelujah. That means Jesus had not seen this kind of faith in the whole of Israel that he had been at, aside to the faith that he saw from the centurions Say the word. Just say the word and he will be healed. Just say the word and he will be healed. And Jesus said to the centurion after that as you have believed, so let it be done for you, hallelujah. As you have believed, so let it be done for you.

Speaker 1:

And I want to tell you that Jesus continues into other cities preaching and healing with his disciples. And in the 17th chapter of Matthew there is a boy who's demon possessed and the disciples try to cast it out, but they cannot. And Jesus sees all of this happening and he goes there and he casts out the demon and he says to his disciples, from Matthew 17, chapter 20, verse His disciples ask him why couldn't we do this? Why could you and why couldn't we? And Jesus said to them because of your unbelief. Because of your unbelief, for surely I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. If you have faith, the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. I want to tell you something every time, jesus says verily, verily. Or he says assuredly I say to you, you need to make note of these times, because Jesus is trying to drive home a point. And that morning with the centurion, or that time of the day, actually with the centurion, he says assuredly I say to you I have not seen such faith in the whole of Israel. And this beautiful morning, through the word of God, assuredly, I say to you, if you have the size, the faith as a mustard seed, go to your kitchen and look at the mustard seed. That's all you need, the words of Jesus. You can say this mountain, move and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. These are the words of Jesus, not mine Mustard seed, faith that you will be able to move a mountain. Oh, hallelujah, jesus' words, believe it, nothing will be impossible for you.

Speaker 1:

And when I started, I told you I want to share two stories with you, one at the time when Jesus was on this planet and another from when he was not. And I'm going into the second one now. At the time when Jesus was not on this planet, from the Old Testament, a time in the life of Joshua. And Joshua has to take on five armies. The Bible refers to them as five Amorite armies and some of you know this story, but nevertheless I'm going to share it with you. From Joshua, the 10th chapter, the 8th verse.

Speaker 1:

And it so happens that Gibeon calls out to Joshua for help because these five armies have come against them. And make note Joshua 10.8,. The Lord said to Joshua. The Lord said to Joshua hallelujah, do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand and not a man from them shall stand before you. Oh, hallelujah, oh, do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand. Not a man of them shall stand before you. Oh, but look at the faith of Joshua. Five armies, he's going up against five armies.

Speaker 1:

Let me tell you how the story pans out. Joshua and his army march all night and they meet those five armies. And they meet those five armies and the Bible says the Lord routed the five armies before Israel. The Lord routed the five armies before Israel and they were chased and they were running and along the way the Lord even cast down the Bible says large hailstones upon them. In fact the Bible says more of the armies died out of the hailstones than from the swords of the Israelite army. But that's not all and that's not the main crux that I want to share with you this morning.

Speaker 1:

And then Joshua spoke to the Lord. It started with the Lord speaking to Joshua and now Joshua is speaking to the Lord in the sight of Israel. That means he's saying this in front of everyone to the Lord, and I'm reading it to you directly from the word of God, and you pay attention and you mark this down, because the Bible says he is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. Joshua 10, the 12th and 13th verse Joshua spoke to the Lord in the sight of Israel and he says sun stands still over Gibeon and moon in the valley of Ajalon. And the Sun stood still and the moon stopped. The Bible says till the people had revenge upon their enemies. So the Sun stood still in the midst of heaven and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And Joshua 10, 14, says and there has been no day like that Before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man. For the Lord fought for Israel. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah. Sun stands still over Gibeon and moon in the valley of Agilon, and the sun stood still and the moon stopped. Oh hallelujah, oh, I hope you're getting it this morning. Oh, oh, I hope you are getting it this morning. Oh, I hope you are getting it this morning. And this beautiful day where the Bible says there never has been a day before that or after that that the Lord heeded the voice, oh hallelujah, where a man makes the Sun stand still and tells the moon not to move, oh hallelujah, and there never has been a day like that. But I want to tell you something and I'm going to give you a different version. This is my version. I'd like to look at it as there never has been another like Joshua who had the faith, knowing that I can make the moon not shift and the sun stand still. Hallelujah, oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

I want to tell you, the centurion was just a roman soldier, he was not one from the lineage of israel, he was what they considered as a gentile. But he knew one secret the creator of heaven and earth, the creator of heaven and earth, the alpha and the omega, the yahweh el shaddai the great. I am standing right in front of him and all he needed from him was a word. Joshua, just a man picked after Moses by God. God is speaking to him, god speaks to Moses. He used to speak to Moses, but more, joe, he's to speak to Joshua. I'm sorry, but Joshua knew one thing. He knew who was fighting for him. He knew the Lord was at his right hand.

Speaker 1:

And both these individuals, the centurion and Joshua, I want to tell you this morning, had more than just mustard seed faith, oh, hallelujah, more than just mustard seed faith. Oh, but only speak the word and my servant will be healed, said the centurion. Oh, sun stand still over Gibeon and moon in the valley of Agilon, said Joshua. And I'm going to give you a little secret this beautiful morning, through the words of Jesus Go your way as you have believed, so let it be done for you. Amen, oh, hallelujah, go your way, as you have believed. Let it be done for you, oh Hallelujah. The Bible says he is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. And from these two examples that I gave you Joshua, who never had the name, and the centurion, who had the Creator right in front of him. But I want to tell you something as they believed, it was done to them, as they believed it was done to them, go your way. Jesus said as you believe. So let it be for you, oh hallelujah. I want to leave you with this this morning.

Speaker 1:

Who is Jesus to you? Who is he to you? If you want him to be a healer, he is a healer to you. If you want him to be a support, he is your support. If you want him to be a conqueror for you, he will be more than a conqueror for you. If you want him to be your provider, he will be more than a conqueror for you. If you want him to be your provider, he will be your provider. If you want him to be your all in all, oh, he will be your all in all. Whatever you make and whatever you believe, he will do for you. Hallelujah, go your way, as you have believed. So let it be done for you.

Speaker 1:

And he says in the beautiful words of jesus himself please don't miss it, nothing will be impossible for you. This is jesus's words. It is so easy for us to lose track because we are. We are humans. First, we are born in sin and then, on top of that, we're on this planet and we have laws and physics, and chemistry, and the whole world and you know, everything tells you that this is what will happen and this is what will not happen.

Speaker 1:

But jesus is telling you and me this morning, faith the size of the mustard seed.

Speaker 1:

The faith the size of a mustard seed. If you have, go your way and as you have believed, it will be done for you, just as it was done for the centurion who said Lord, just say the word and my servant, wherever he was, it doesn't measure kilometers, kilometers just say the word, lord, and my servant will be healed. And Joshua mustered seed faith, way more than mustard seed. Faith tells the Sun to stand still and the moon not to move, because Lord told him that this battle is yours. Oh, what faith. Hallelujah, go your way and, as you have believed, it will be done for you and nothing will be impossible for you. Oh hallelujah, dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful word. Lord, I thank you for your double edged sword. Thank you, lord, for your word that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. Lord, I thank you, lord. You're watching over your word to perform it.

Speaker 1:

Lord, on this beautiful day, we leave everything at your feet. We leave everything at your feet, lord. You take complete control. Your will be done Into our lives, into our situations, for you know the plans you have for us, lord, plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Plans with a hope and a future, lord, and we leave everything at your feet, lord, hallelujah. Thank you, lord, for this beautiful time. Thank you for your beautiful presence. Thank you for what you did on that cross for us, lord, thank you for your love, your grace, your mercy upon our lives. That is new every morning. Thank you, lord, that you're always with us and always at our right hand side. Thank you, lord. In' name I pray Amen.
