Speaker 1:

Today I want to get straight into the Word of God and I'm reading to you from Romans, the first chapter, the 17th verse onwards. Romans 1.17 says For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written. But the righteous man shall live by faith, hallelujah. I am going to read it again, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, and it is written. But the righteous shall live by faith, righteous man shall live by faith. Man, woman, same thing. What a beautiful passage of scripture. And I want to tell you this morning deep calls out to deep, the Bible says, and this is one of those kind of scriptures. It is a deep scripture. It has a deeper understanding of God. It calls for a deeper understanding of Jesus, it calls for a deeper understanding of understanding who God is. It's a beautiful scripture and I urge you to read it again in your own time, romans 1.17, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, hallelujah. And it is written. But the righteous man shall live by faith, and the scripture mentions the righteousness of God and the righteous man shall live by faith.

Speaker 1:

I want to tell you what the English language, or let's say, the English dictionary defines righteousness as it defines it as the quality of being morally right. The quality of being morally right, it defines it as acting in accord of divine or moral law. That's the dictionary for you. Righteousness is the quality of being morally right or acting in accord of divine or moral law. And let me tell you what the Bible calls our righteousness. Isaiah 64, 6 says for all of us have become like one of it, like one who is unclean. Isaiah 64 6, for all of us have become like one who is unclean and all our righteous deeds are like filthy garment, are like a filthy garment and all of us wither like a leaf and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. Oh, that's such a deep, hard hitting scripture and it's so sad because Look, aren't we all good? We're all good people. No, you're born in sin. The Bible says You're born of the flesh and hence we're born in sin. And no matter what you do or what I do, it's not about you, it's about all of us here, anyone who's human, that's it. And no matter what we do, our righteousness, according to the Bible here mentioned Isaiah 64.6, is like a filthy garment. It's unclean. Our righteous deeds and all of us wither like a leaf, like spring and like fall and like the wind. We are taken away. Well, that's a really deep, hard-hitting scripture.

Speaker 1:

I told you today is one of those deep calls out to deep scriptures. So the righteousness of man and the righteous deeds that we do are like a filthy rag, a filthy garment, you know, that kind that we don't want to keep in the house, the ones that we throw into the trash. That's what the Bible calls our righteousness. So it's very clear that we as human beings are not righteous. Neither are our acts righteous, nor what we do is righteous. No matter what we do, there is no righteousness in it until 1 Corinthians 1.30. But by his doing you are in Christ Jesus, who becomes to us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, oh. Finally some good news, oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

1 Corinthians 1.30 says but by his doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Oh, hallelujah. It starts with by his doing, that's, by God's doing and by Jesus is doing. The Bible says God sent his only begotten son, and Jesus is righteousness. No, hallelujah, now Jesus is righteousness. Now hallelujah. Now Jesus is righteousness and through what Jesus did on that cross for you and me, you are made righteous in the sight of God. Through Christ Jesus, hallelujah. That's what the scripture means 1 Corinthians 1.30,. You can mark it Now, hallelujah. So you see and understand Today, know this and understand it, that it is through faith in Jesus that you and I are made righteous. That's it. You can't do anything, neither can I do anything else on this planet to be righteous, but rather the only way being through putting our faith in Jesus, hallelujah, and what he did on that cross.

Speaker 1:

So, actually coming back to the scripture now, which we started with in the beginning, from Romans, the first chapter, the 17th verse but the righteous man shall live by faith, oh Hallelujah. So I want to tell you this morning, this day, that if you have put your faith in Jesus, if you believe in the name that's above all names if you believe what he did on that cross for you and me, if you believe he rose on the third day, if you believe that he's seated at the right hand of God today, right now, alive, then the scripture refers to you and me as the righteous man. Oh, hallelujah. And I'm going back to Romans 1.17 now and saying, reading directly from the word of God, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. And I'm not getting into that, believe me. That's a whole new world of a scripture as it is written.

Speaker 1:

But the righteous man shall live by faith, oh Hallelujah. And through all these scriptures that I've shared with you this morning and through the word of God now, you know that if you believe in Jesus and what he did on that cross for you and me, if you believe in his name, as I said, if you believe he's alive today, believe he's alive today and seated at the right hand of God, if you believe that, then you are this man that's being referred to in Romans 1 17. I said man, woman alike. The righteous shall live by faith, which means you shall live by faith. You and I are to live by faith.

Speaker 1:

And second corinthians 5 7 says for we walk by faith and not by sight. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah. I already started this morning by telling you deep calls unto deep. This is one of those kinds, one step leading into another, into a deeper relationship with God, into a deeper understanding, and I want to tell you this morning that we walk by faith and not by sight. And this is for somebody here, or maybe many of you, but I know for sure for someone in particular here who really needed this. It doesn't matter what your situation looks like, I want to tell you the outcome of it is in your hands, because you do not walk by faith, but you walk by. You do not walk by sight, but you walk by faith instead. Hallelujah, hallelujah. You need encouragement, hallelujah, you need encouragement.

Speaker 1:

Let me tell you the Bible says Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you. Jesus, when he was on this planet with his disciples, at some point in time, he had to tell them what's going to be his fate. And he told them I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will never, never leave you nor forsake you. Go, go, read the meaning nor forsake you. Go, go, go. Read the meaning of forsake and then you'll understand what Jesus meant when he said that he will never leave you nor forsake you. And this morning, you walk by faith and not by sight. You walk by the confirmation of the person who's standing at your right hand oh, hallelujah, sealed by his blood. The outcome of your situation is in your hand.

Speaker 1:

Oh, hallelujah, and if you think today was not deep enough, galatians 3, the 23rd chapter, the 23rd verse onwards. Galatians 3, the 23rd verse onwards, and listen to this, and listen to this, you. But before faith came, hallelujah. But before faith came, we were kept under, in custody, under the law, being shut up to the faith, which was later to be revealed. Therefore, the law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now faith has come, hallelujah, and we are no longer under a tutor, for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Oh, hallelujah, this is a deep, deep scripture. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

I want to tell this morning Jesus is faith and, yes, the Bible defines faith as something else. But I want to tell you this morning that Jesus is faith. And the Bible says here before faith came, you were under a law, you were under a curse, you and I were under a tutor, a teacher. And then it says therefore, the law became your tutor to lead you to Christ. And I'm not going to complicate it for you, but I'm just going to keep it very simple. And then it says but now that faith has come, oh, hallelujah, oh, now that Jesus has come, after Jesus has come, after Jesus has come, he is the author and the perfecter of your faith.

Speaker 1:

Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, I told you, oh, I told you, I told you today is deep and some of you get it. Some of you don't just enjoy the presence of God, but some of you are getting it and you understand very well that. You know what. Whatever situation you're looking at, the outcome is in your hands. You define it, you, no one else, because the name that's above all names Jesus, the name that's above all power, authority, dominion, title. You call it.

Speaker 1:

What you want is the author and the perfecter of your faith. And if he's the author of your faith, he's writing that book for you. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, oh Hallelujah, oh Hallelujah, oh Hallelujah. And I want to release this scripture today, that from the book of Isaiah, the 40th chapter, the 31st verse you will gain new strength, you will mount up with wings like eagles, you will run and not get tired, you will walk and not become weary. Hallelujah, and I'll tell you why because before he came, we were nothing, and after he has come, he is the author and the perfecter of our faith, and this morning I want to tell you now, whatever you slept on last night, today is a whole new day, and look at it in a very different light, because he is at your right hand side and nothing is greater than Him. Nothing is greater than Him, nothing is bigger than Him. There is nothing that can ever be made by anyone that will be bigger than Jesus and his name. And he the name above all names is the author and the perfecter of your faith.

Speaker 1:

Oh, hallelujah, oh, dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for this beautiful word. I thank you for your beautiful presence, lord. I thank you, lord, that you're turning people's situations on their head, lord. I thank you, lord, for the faith that you have increased for your people. Lord. I thank you, lord, that some people can feel you standing at their right hand.

Speaker 1:

Lord, oh, I thank you, you, lord, that your word says you will go ahead and make every crooked path straight, lord. And thank you, lord, for your word that says that we will gain new strength. We will mount up with wings like eagles. We will run and not be tired, lord, and we will walk and not be weary, lord, thank you for your beautiful presence, thanks you. Thank you for your beautiful, beautiful thanks you. Thank you for your beautiful, beautiful sacrifice that you made on that cross for us, lord. Thank you, lord, for being the author and the perfecter of our faith. Thank you, lord, most of all for coming down on this planet and being obedient to death on a cross, just for us. Thank you, lord, for this beautiful time. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
