Speaker 1:

It's a beautiful month, it's a beautiful morning, it's just a few days before Christmas, today being the 22nd of December. Christmas today being the 22nd of December, for me personally the best month of the year, the best time of the year actually, for most that I know, also within my friends and my family, the most significant thing that happened for me, for you, for millions of others that cannot even be fathomed, happened many, many years ago the birth of Christ. In this beautiful month. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. And just last week we had gone into the scripture which was revealed to prophet Isaiah the most significant thing that would ever happen on this earth the coming of the Creator into His creation in the form of a human. Hallelujah, hallelujah. And the prophet Isaiah prophesied about the coming of the Messiah, and I, I had spoken about it last week, and it is in Isaiah 9, verse 6 and 7 chapter. For a child will be born to us and a son will be given to us, oh, hallelujah. And the government will rest on his shoulders and his name will be called wonderful counselor, mighty god, eternal father, prince of peace. There will be no end to the increase of his government, oh, hallelujah, what a beautiful passage of Scripture, for a child will be born unto us, a child will come, a son will be given to us and everything, everything, everything will rest on his shoulders, and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Amen and Hallelujah to that. So Isaiah prophesied. And I want to take you two verses before that. In Isaiah, the 7th chapter, the 14th verse onwards, and absolutely worth marking down in your Bibles or your apps, whatever it is you like to use. And therefore, isaiah 7, verse 14. And therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call his name Emmanuel. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. And the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Yes, this is for you. And the Lord himself will give you a sign. And behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call his name Emmanuel. Hallelujah. The first time. I want to tell you that this beautiful name appears in the Bible, the name Emmanuel, the word Emmanuel, which means God with us. Oh hallelujah, oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And keeping with this time of the year, the 22nd of December, which is today, this beautiful day, I would like to tell you about the events that laid forth before the birth of Christ. I'm taking you back to this time. Isaiah prophesied many, many years ago, in Isaiah 7, 14, that there will be a son and a virgin will bear him. This child and his name will be called Emmanuel, which is God with us. And I am taking you back to a time where it all began with Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Speaker 1:

And it so happens the Bible says that in the book of Luke and I'm reading to you directly from the word of God in the book of Luke in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God hallelujah to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin whose name was Mary, whose name was Mary, and she was betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the line of David. Oh, hallelujah, all called out so many years ago, and this is what you've been hearing over the past few weeks also, jesus is coming, called out for so many years in advance, and exactly how he would come too. And here is the core of how it happens. The angel Gabriel is sent from God to a city In a place called Galilee, called Nazareth, to a virgin whose name is Mary was betrothed to marry a man by the name of Joseph, who is of the line of David. Oh, hallelujah, and I'm Luke. 1, 28 says and having come in, the angel said to her Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And clearly Mary is probably inside a room, or inside the house, because the Bible says having come in, which means the angel entered the room and Gabriel enters the room. Or inside the house, because the Bible says having come in, which means the angels enter the room and Gabriel enters the room or the home and greets her. And the Bible even says that Mary's troubled at this kind of greeting. The Bible says and the angel says to her Don't be afraid, mary, for you have found favor with God, hallelujah. And then it goes on to say in the Bible now Gabriel is talking to Mary and behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus.

Speaker 1:

And listen to this. He will be great and bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus. And listen to this. He will be great and he will be called the son of the highest, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father, david, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end. Oh hallelujah, there will be no end, oh Hallelujah, oh Hallelujah. Increase of his government, said Isaiah so many, so many years before, and he will be great. And of his kingdom there will be no end, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And then Mary turns to the angel and says how can this be, since I do not know a man? And then Mary turns to the angel and says how can this be, since I do not know a man? And then the angel answered and said to her the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the highest will overshadow you. Therefore, also that Holy One who is to be born will be called the son of God. And then he goes on to say for with God, nothing will be impossible, hallelujah. And this is especially for someone. This morning, just at the end of the year, at the onset of the new year, and after the super miraculous act of God, aligned with Word of God from the book of Luke, I want, I want to tell you, recalibrate your relationship with God and know that nothing is impossible with him. As the angel came down just to say this to Mary this is also for you this morning Nothing is impossible with him. Nothing is impossible with God. Hallelujah Coming back and Mary turns around and says Behold the maidservant of the Lord, let it be to me according to your word.

Speaker 1:

And the angel departed from her. Hallelujah, what a fabulous statement. Behold the maidservant of the Lord, let it be according to your word. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. The coming of the child, the coming of Jesus, called so many years before.

Speaker 1:

It all comes down to this one woman that throw to the man called Joseph. Never been with a man, she's a virgin. And she says, yes, hallelujah. I want to tell you I am not going to get into the year that this has happened, but I will definitely tell you that the timeline of this, it was a very different time when this happened. Strict rules and regulations, and if you were condemned you were hung to a cross and if you were found guilty you would have been flogged and even put to death. A very difficult time. But yet Mary says behold the maid servant of the Lord, let it be according to your word. Everything hanging on Mary at the moment. What if she got into argumentative mode? But no, she didn't. Let it be according to your word. A brave woman of her time, not bothered about what Joseph would say or think, and she accepted the will of the Lord to be used as a tool that would change mankind forever. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And this morning I want to come to the crux of the word this morning, and there's just one thing that I want to leave you with, and I'm going to the book of Romans, the 20th chapter, the fourth verse, the 20th chapter of the fourth chapter, the 20th verse. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God and being fully convinced that what he had promised he was also able to perform and therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness. Hallelujah and I want to tell you that this, this passage of Scripture, quotes Abraham that he did not budge from the promise that God made to him. He didn't waver at what God had told him, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God and being fully convinced that what he had promised he was also able to perform and therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness. And today, who we call as the father of many nations? He was an old man at that time. But he believed the promise that God was making to him and he was fully convinced that what was promised to him God was going to deliver to him. He never laughed. In fact, sarah laughed, it's in the Bible. She laughed out of unbelief and God even turns around and says why is she laughing? But Abraham never laughed, he believed it.

Speaker 1:

And I want to tell you this morning, mary, being just a humble virgin, a nobody at that time, from Nazareth, unknown before she was even visited by gabriel, and nobody before that time, believed god and did not waver at the unthinkable promise made to her conceiving a child of the holy spirit and aligned with the scripture of romans 4, 20, I want to say and add this morning, it was accounted to her for righteousness, oh hallelujah. And through unwavering faith she changed the landscape of mankind and righteousness has a whole new meaning today. And I want to tell you this beautiful day, a few days before the birth of Christ, a few days before Christmas day, as the phrase goes, the reason for the season I've heard it so many times the core I want to tell you of the reason for the season is your faith in what has happened for you and me, your faith and this child who was called out for so many years, your faith in the fact that there's a place called Bethlehem, your faith in His name, jesus, is the reason for this season and I want to tell you that righteousness is in your lives this day. Through him, because of your faith in Jesus, it has been accounted to you as righteousness. Oh, hallelujah, righteousness has entered your home, righteousness has entered your lives, and I want to tell you this beautiful month, this beautiful day, and know it. From this day onwards, the landscape of your life has changed forever through your faith in the child that was born. Hallelujah, hallelujah. You and I have done nothing to deserve it, but I also want to tell you this beautiful day that you are handpicked by God to be aligned to this righteousness that comes through him. Handpicked and don't be mistaken. And, as I said, this beautiful month, these last few days left of this year to end and for the oncoming 2025, I want to tell you that because of this child that was born so many years ago, because of Jesus, your life has changed completely. And go ahead and enjoy these next few days and enjoy the year that is about to start, and enjoy the whole of 2025 and enjoy every year that comes after that, because righteousness has been attached to you ever since you put faith in His name and now, because of that faith, nothing is impossible. Nothing is impossible for you.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah, dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful world. Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has to lord. I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for all our lives that you filled with joy. I thank you for being faithful, lord, or, even though we remain faithless, you remain faithful. And I thank you, lord, for sending your only begotten Son on this planet just for us, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish and have eternal life. And I thank you, lord, for that beautiful, beautiful, beautiful promise that you have made to us by sending the Sun on this planet just for us. Thank you, lord, for this beautiful day, thanks for this beautiful month, thanks for this beautiful season. Thank you for your mercies that are new every morning. Thank you for this. Thank you for the righteousness that has entered our lives. Lord, thank you for just being there for us. Thank you.
