Speaker 1:

What a beautiful day today is, and for everyone who believes in Jesus, I want to wish each and every one of you a happy resurrection, hallelujah, and I want to tell you today, every one of you, a happy resurrection, hallelujah. And I want to tell you today is not about his death. Today is about his resurrection, but I want to tell you that there is a big significance to the death of Jesus, and that's what I want to tell you this morning. And, yes, as I said, it's not about his death, but it's about his resurrection. But there is a big significance about his, his death, and I want to tell you that. You know, on many fronts it's debatable through history on this particular topic that I'm going to talk to you about, but the significance of this topic and what jesus did on the cross are very much aligned, and I want to tell you that it's about what the Jews celebrate as a festival called Passover, and I want to tell you that the Passover has been celebrated since the Jews, ever since they got freedom from slavery, from the time of when they were under Egypt, and I want to tell you that God picked Moses and he sent him amongst the Jews, and God worked tremendously in the presence of his people and 10 plagues came on to Egypt and things happened and of course, they got their freedom.

Speaker 1:

But there was this one last act act. And this last act was about God telling his people slay a lamb and put the blood of the lamb on your doorposts and your lintels and there will be a destroyer that comes, and when the destroyer comes, they will pass your house and they will go and destroy the firstborn of everything in Egypt. And you have to. You have to understand this. God's word said the firstborn of everyone in Egypt will be gone and from animals to livestock, to human beings, the firstborn of everyone in egypt was gone. But, as I said, I'm not here to give you bad news. I'm here to give you good news. And just as that blood of the lamb was slain and put on the door, the destroyer passed that and that's why the jews celebrate the passover and I want to tell you that you know, when you partake of the bread and wine, that was significant of the last meal that Jesus had with his disciples. And I want to tell you, as I said, it's debatable in history, but I'm talking about the significance of the timelines and he's sitting with his disciples and he's having the Passover meal, okay, and he says this is my body and this is my blood that is shed for you, and he partakes of that, of that meal with them. And I want to tell you I'm just giving you a different perspective you, jesus, came on the planet. He did signs, miracles and wonders. He healed people, he saved people. People were freed from possession, demon, demon possession. People who were lame got up and walked, the paralyzed were dancing, the blind got their sight back. But Jesus came and he died on a cross, and the significance of that and the Passover and his blood, I want to tell you that after that death on that cross, there was freedom, hallelujah, hallelujah. And the blood of that lamb, the sinless lamb of God, his only begotten son, would save the whole of mankind. Oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And I'm reading to you from the book of exodus, the 13th chapter, the third verse moses said to the people remember this day in which you went out of egypt, out of the house of bondage, for by strength of the hand of the lord, you have been brought out of this place. Oh, hallelujah. And, as I said, the lamb came on this planet as planned by God, and this time it was not just the Jews. He said anyone who puts their faith in my son, anyone and what he has done on that cross, will be saved forever. And I want to tell you from the book of John, the first chapter, the 29th verse, and I'm going to read to you directly from the word of god this morning john, the first chapter, the 29th verse hallelujah. The next day this is john the baptist. The next day he saw Jesus coming and he said behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Hallelujah. Now Jesus came on this planet to become a lamb, and the blood of that lamb, I want to tell you, is what cleanses the whole planet if you put your faith in him. But again, today is not about his death, it's about his resurrection. And I want to take you back in time to this beautiful day. And what happens on the day of Jesus' resurrection. I want to tell you. It's a Sunday morning.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says, and two different books in the bible define two different sets of people that are there, but I'm going to stick to the one. And I'm going to tell you that there was mary magdalene, and the bible refers to the other, mary, as the mother of james. The bible also says salome was there. And they come to the tomb, the bible with spices that they may anoint Jesus and Matthew.

Speaker 1:

The 28th chapter, the second verse onwards, says and behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of God descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door of the tomb, that is, and sat on it, and his countenance was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow and the guard shook for fear and became like dead men, oh, hallelujah. So, on this beautiful day, I want to tell you his loyalists, the ones who were with him throughout, they go there because now the hope is gone. You do, you understand what that means? They were with him and he healed everyone around and he's gone and they, that's all they're clinging to. They're clinging on to going back to that tomb and anointing his body. That's the only hope they have left, even though he said on the third day I will rise. They didn't understand it and he never tried to explain it to them. So, anyway, they go there and they see this angel there who's rolled back the stone, and he's sitting there and the Bible says his countenance is like lightning and his clothing is white as snow.

Speaker 1:

Some of you have Wonderful imaginations. Imaginations can picture it and praise God for that hallelujah. Wonderful imaginations can picture it and praise God for that Hallelujah. And this happens in front of both the Marys and Salome. And the Bible says there's an earthquake. There's an earthquake and an angel of God descended from heaven. So you need to understand that angel has come now just to make a spectacle, hallelujah. And of course the guards are shaking and it's a beautiful situation. And he's rolled back the stone of the tomb and, as I said, the angel's countenance is like lightning and his clothes like snow, shining white.

Speaker 1:

And then it goes on to say Matthew 28, the 20th chapter, the fifth and sixth verse. And the angel answered and said to the woman, to the women I'm sorry, do not be afraid, for I know that you seek jesus, who, hallelujah, he is not here, for he is risen. And then he goes on to say go and tell the disciples quickly that he is risen from the dead and indeed he is going before you into galilee. There you will see him. Behold, I have told you so. You see, he just had one job. This angel who makes this massive entrance, has just one job is to roll back the tombstone, stand there and tell them come, see, he's gone, he's risen, he's not here, and go quickly and tell everyone that he's going before you into Galilee and he will see you there. Behold, I've told you, that's it, that was his job, this angel who came down from heaven just to do this.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I want to tell you this morning, everything about this was planned. Nothing has happened by chance. Who came down from heaven just to do this? Oh, I want to tell you this morning, everything about this was planned. Nothing has happened by chance. And you need to understand this beautiful way, the events panned out on this day, all planned for this one day, the resurrection of jesus. And I want to tell you, the bible says they left the tomb with fear and with great joy. I think some of us know this feeling of fear and joy at the same time. And let me tell you, jesus meets them on the way the Bible says hallelujah. I'm not going to get into that and what he says to them, but I want to tell you that this beautiful day I have a very short word this morning and this beautiful day, that's the day of the resurrection, I want to tell you Jesus is alive, hallelujah. Jesus was raised from the grave. And I want to tell you, death has no control over him and Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. And I want to tell you, death has no control over him and jesus is seated at the right hand of god. And I'm I came across this beautiful, beautiful scripture, which is is just encompasses everything, and I'm going to leave you. I'm going to leave this with you this morning.

Speaker 1:

First corinthians, the 15th chapter, the 55th verse, says oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? But thanks be to god, who gives us the victory through our lord christ, jesus. Oh hallelujah, oh death, where is your victory? Death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? Oh hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

When you put your faith in Jesus, I want to tell you this morning he is the Son of God.

Speaker 1:

And when you put your faith in Jesus, I want to tell you he died on a cross for you and me, and he was raised on the third day and he is alive and he is seated at the right hand of God.

Speaker 1:

And I want to tell you that when you make Jesus your shepherd, when you make him your guide, the good shepherd, who lay down his life for his sheep, his life for his sheep, then you have conquered death just as he has, and you will have life everlasting as just one of the perks of putting him as your head. Hallelujah, ephesians 1 19. This is so beautiful and these are and you should mark this and meditate on this ephesians 119. And these are in accordance with the working of the strength of his might, which he brought about in christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly places. Oh hallelujah, hallelujah in the heavenly places, oh, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And Jesus is in the next verse, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come, oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And he has put all things in subjection under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

This is giving you a spiritual connotation of what has happened, because of what happened on that cross and because Jesus was raised from the grave and alive today. And I want to tell you on this beautiful, beautiful day, as I said, this beautiful resurrection day. It's a new beginning to each of us who believe in Jesus. It's a new beginning and I'm going to release from the Word of God a prophecy that is for each and every one of you this beautiful morning. Hallelujah, a line to his word and for anyone who believes in Jesus this morning.

Speaker 1:

It's from Revelation, the 21st chapter, the 5th verse. And now you already know where he is seated through the scriptures that I have just shared with you from Corinthians, from the scriptures I have shared with you, from Ephesians, you know he is seated at the right hand of God. And from the book of Revelation, the most powerful book in the Bible, the 21st chapter, the fifth verse. And he who sits on the throne said behold, I am making all things new. Amen, behold, I am making all things new. And he said write, for these words are faithful and true. Write them down, for these words are faithful and true. He cannot lie, we remain faithless, but he remains faithful. Write them down, for these words are faithful and true. And then he said to me it is done, it is already done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Hallelujah. Write them down, for these words are faithful and true. And then he said to me it is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, hallelujah. I want to tell you this beautiful day, this beautiful resurrection day, the day that Jesus was raised from the graves and alive and seated at the right hand of God from the book of Revelations. Behold, he has made everything new today. And I want to tell you it's already done Through the word of God from the book, to tell you it's already done through the word of god from the book of revelation. It's already done.

Speaker 1:

And you'll think this is for a particular area in life. No, it's not. It's not. It's for any area in life that you think you need the creator of heaven and earth to step into, because everything is under his feet, everything is under his feet power, authority, dominion, title, name that can be and that ever will be is under his name, because he conquered death. Do you realize? There's nothing on this planet that can conquer death, there's nothing that comes back from death. Death is the end, but with jesus, death is just the beginning. And that's what we celebrate today his resurrection because it's a new beginning. And that's what we celebrate today. His resurrection because it's a new beginning and, as I said, align to his beautiful word from the book of revelation and believe it this morning. Write it down, make note if you'd like, because you will see things pop up from nowhere and come to life. Amen. The alpha and the omega has spoken. The beginning and the end has spoken and he has sealed it with his words. I watch over my word. I am watching over my word to perform it. Hallelujah, I am watching over my word to perform it. It's already done, hallelujah. Enjoy this lovely day, enjoy this beautiful beginning that you have received, ready yourselves for the doors that God has opened for you and that no man can shut. The Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, has spoken for you, this beautiful resurrection day. Hallelujah, let's pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. Lord, I thank you for your word, your double edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. Lord, I thank you for this beautiful day that you've given us. Lord. Thank you, lord, for conquering death for us. Thank you, lord, for conquering everything for us. We are more than conquerors in you, lord. Thank you, lord, because you lord for conquering everything for us. We are more than conquerors in you, lord. Thank you, lord. Because of what you've done on that cross, we can do all things. Lord, through you strengthens us. I thank you, lord, for this beautiful, beautiful occasion that you've given us to celebrate your resurrection. Thank you for the new beginnings. Thank you for these beautiful doors that you've opened in every area of people's lives. Lord, that cannot be shut. Thank you, lord, for that blood that you shed on that cross for us. Lord, oh Lord, thank you for your beautiful presence. Thank you for this beautiful time, lord. Thank you In Jesus' name, I pray Amen.
