- Isaiah 49:16 NASB1995
In the last two weeks. I want to give you a recap that we started with the story of Abraham and how he has a one-on-one with God and he negotiates for the life of his nephew, lot, from within the cities that God was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and then to the next week where Noah and the flood that God destroyed the whole of mankind and the planet. That God destroyed the whole of mankind and the planet and all flesh, the Bible says, and he showed mercy on Noah and his family and saved mankind through them. And then he made an eternal promise that he would never again destroy all living things or flesh on this planet through water. And then he put in the clouds the rainbow as a sign of that promise to all flesh. The bible says so. Every time you see a rainbow you should know what it means. But in both those weeks you heard about a negotiation made by Jesus on your behalf, hallelujah. And today I want to get. I want to get deeper into that, into that topic, because that's a very difficult topic, that's a very. It's a deep topic and most people tend to forget it. That's a very difficult topic. That's a very. It's a deep topic and most people tend to forget it. And you need to know the person who came on this planet for you, because most of the times and we are human we seek his hand, we seek his miracle, we don't seek his face. But today I want to tell you about that person who came on the planet for you and me, and I want to get deeper into that matter and I want you to pay attention and understand this in your spirit, on what Jesus has done for you and me. And I've said this before and I'm saying it again today you did not pick him, he chose you. You didn't pick him, he chose you. You you didn't pick him, he chose you. And you know what? Don't take my word for it. Don't take my word for it.
Speaker 1:Today I want to start with an absolutely beautiful, beautiful passage of scripture and you should mark it down and read it in your own time and, in case you had any any doubt, this will clear it for you and you'll be completely assured. And I'm reading to you from the book of Ephesians, the first chapter, the fourth verse. Ephesians, the first chapter, the fourth verse, that says Just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, hallelujah. Just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world that we would be holy and blameless before him in love, he predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ To himself, according to the kind intention Of his will, hallelujah. I know it's a long passage of scripture, so I'm going to read it again and I'll explain it to you. Just as he chose us in him Before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before him In love, in love, he predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the kind intention of his will. Oh hallelujah, hallelujah. You see, he chose you. I. I told you you didn't chose him, he chose you. And he chose you before the foundation of the world.
Speaker 1:The bible says, and you'll say that's how is that possible? That's not even possible. No, no, this morning, don't put god in a box. He has chosen you before the foundation of the world. And that's what the Bible says, just that tomorrow, when the creator sees you, he sees you as holy and blameless because of what Jesus has done and predestined as adoption, as sons and daughters through Christ to himself. That's beautiful. That just that. Just talks about his love for you, that he decided that he is coming down on the planet. And he decided well before time, before the foundation of the world, that he has chosen you, that tomorrow, when he looks at you, he sees you as blameless and clean and you are adopted as sons and daughters To him.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, that's a deep, that's a deep passage of scripture, hallelujah. You should mark it down and read it in your own time. It's, it's really. It can make you think about a lot of things and clarify a lot of things. You know a lot of people. You know man's love is intentional and has conditions. God's love does not have any condition to it, and this is an example of that Hallelujah. I want to tell you.
Speaker 1:John 10.10 says that the thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but I came. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly, hallelujah, hallelujah. He wants you to have an abundant life on this planet. I told you, I started off with telling you two weeks ago that somebody negotiated for you, and today I want to assure you that somebody's negotiated for you even before the world began. And, as I said, don't try to put your, your worldly wisdom to. How is that possible? He, he's God. Everything is possible through him. The Bible says everything is possible. And he negotiated with, he negotiated you by your name, before the foundations of the planet. And this morning he's here to tell someone that you know the thief. If he only comes to lie, to steal I'm sorry to steal, kill and destroy. And I have come. I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly.
Speaker 1:He came many years ago on this planet and I want to tell you, don't give so much importance to that defeated foe. He's already defeated. He's been defeated years before and now he can only start whispering in your ears, and that is something that you will build into something else if you allow it to Putting you down, making you feel low, making you feel condemned, making you feel like you're not good enough, making you feel condemned, making you feel like you're not good enough. But keep it all aside this morning, because I want to tell you this that sometimes you think why is this happening to you? No, no, it's not Jesus, it's not God. He doesn't do that. I told you. He's adopted you. You are his children. I don't know anyone who would do that to their children.
Speaker 1:And then he goes on to say in John 10, the 11th chapter I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Oh hallelujah, some of you can feel the presence of God. I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. I want to tell you, jesus came on this planet just so that he'll give up his life on a cross for you and me. That's the only reason why he came, and he must have negotiated, as I said. He negotiated many. He negotiated many, many, many, many, many years before your name even came up. But yeah, he came on the planet just for that. He just came on the planet to die for you and me, and that's that's very deep, if you understand it.
Speaker 1:And I want to tell you, he even talks about, after saying this, that I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He even talks about this hired hand. He says there are many other hired hands, but the hired hands will not lay down their life for the sheep Because they are not the true shepherd. He even talks about the wolf will come and the hired hand will flee. I am the good shepherd and I know my own and my own know me. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah, I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, hallelujah. That's deep and you need to understand this morning what Jesus did for you and me. And I want to tell you, I know my own.
Speaker 1:The Bible says, and you will ask me this morning how am I, how am I supposed to know that I am his, how am I supposed to know? The Bible says in Isaiah 49, 16, behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands, hallelujah, on the palms of my hands, hallelujah. Isaiah 49.16 says I have inscribed you, and you know I've always read this. I've read this wrongly, I've always read it as I've inscribed you on the palm of my hand. It says I've inscribed you on the palms of my hands. You're not on one, you're on both his palms, hallelujah. And you'll say how is it possible? On the palms of my hands, you're not on one, you're on both his palms, hallelujah. And you'll say how is it possible that the whole planet can have their names on his palms?
Speaker 1:I told you he's God and he's here to tell you and me this morning that I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands, hallelujah. He is a good shepherd and he knows his own. He knows you very well. You are his Hallelujah. And this is for someone this morning, as God promised Joshua Before he took over the mantle from Moses. This is for you. The Lord Is the one who goes ahead of you and he will be with you. He will not fail you Nor forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed, hallelujah. This is from Deuteronomy, the 31st chapter, the 8th verse. This is for someone this morning. I don't know who you are, maybe it's for everyone who's listening. The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. Do not be, do not be mistaken this morning, do not be fooled, do not be dissuaded, and know very clearly that the Bible is very, very clear. The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. Yeshua goes ahead of you and he will be with you and he will not fail you nor forsake you. Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Enjoy his beautiful presence, that he will go ahead of you, that's a beautiful promise. He made that to Joshua. He's making that to you this morning.
Speaker 1:And coming back to the topic, the good shepherd, the good shepherd who knows his own. In John, the 15th chapter, the 16th verse John 15 16 says shepherd, the good shepherd, who knows his own. In John 15, chapter 16, verse 15, john 15, 16 says you did not choose me, but I chose you, unappointed you that you would go and bear fruit and that your fruit will remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give to you. Amen, oh, hallelujah. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, amen, and that your fruit would remain. So whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give you Hallelujah. Whatever you ask of the father in my name, he will give you hallelujah. Some of you are being irked in your spirit on what is that fruit that you need to bear? You have the answer to it and you need to go and do it. But remember that that's all he's asked of you. He came on this planet to die for you and that's all he's asked of you. Assuring you that he's not chosen you. You chose. You have not chosen him. I'm sorry. He has chosen you and appointed you that you'll go and bear fruit, amen.
Speaker 1:I actually had a very short word this morning, but I want to tell you how he sealed it. And some of you know it and some of you might not be aware of what the Bible means because of what Jesus has done. So I'm going to reiterate it to you this morning. The Bible says he was obedient to death on a cross. The Bible says he took up a curse. The Bible said cursed is a man who is hung on a tree, cursed is a man who is hung on a cross. I want to tell you this morning he was whipped. He was whipped and he was scourged. If you don't know that word, you should read it On dictionary. The Bible says they spat on him, they put a crown of thorns on his head and they mocked him. They beat him with a reed and they led him to a cross to be crucified.
Speaker 1:Can you believe someone coming on the planet to take up that for you? I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep and he laid down his life for you and me. I want to tell you that's how that entire part ended. He came on this planet. He was obedient to death on the cross and he knew he had to do it. Part ended. He came on this planet. He was obedient to death on the cross and he knew he had to do it and he did it and he was led to the cross and he gave up his life for you and me. And after all that, I just have to tell you that while all of that is happening, he said Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Hallelujah, the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. He knows his sheep and I told you, in case you were not sure, he's got you inscribed on the palms of his hand. I always thought it was palm of the hand, it's palms, it's both. Both of his palms have your name.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah and Acts 2 21 mark this passage of scripture down. And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved. The bible says if you call unto me, I will answer you and today, shut that door. Today, call upon your father. Today, call upon your Father Today, call upon the Creator. Today, call upon Yeshua, call upon Jesus, call unto the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for you, and you know what he will answer you. Hallelujah, he will answer you. And today I want to tell you. The Bible says shut that door. The Bible says shut that door and take some time today and actually go into a room and shut that door and call on to him, because the Bible says if you call to me, I will answer. When was the last time you called to the good shepherd who is waiting for you? The Bible says I have you inscribed on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me is the next line. That means he's constantly watching you. He's constantly watching you. What are your walls? Think about it. The walls of your home, the walls of your work, the walls of your health. The Bible says they are continually before me. Your walls are continually before me. Your walls are continually before me. Oh, understand what God has done for you, understand what Jesus came to this planet to do for you and me. And today, shut that door and call unto your father, call unto the good shepherd. He will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not of. I'd like you to stand and join me in this prayer this beautiful morning and, as I said, don't hesitate to shut that door and repeat this prayer in your own time Hallelujah, dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. Lord, I thank you for your presence that's already here. Lord, I thank you for what you did on that cross for us, lord. Your body was broken for us. You gave up your life on a cross for us. You were beaten to death, and death on a cross, lord, only for us. Lord, I thank you, lord, for your beautiful presence that people can feel. I thank you, lord. Today I pray. I pray, lord, come into, come into my heart, come into our hearts, come into our lives, take complete control, o Lord, be our shepherd and be our guide. I confess, lord, that you are Lord and I know that you were raised on the third day and you are alive and seated at the right hand of God. And as your word says, lord, call unto me and I will answer and show you great and mighty things that you know not of Lord. I thank you, lord, for your beautiful sacrifice that you've made for us. I thank you for being obedient to a curse for us. I thank you, lord, that you are the good shepherd. The good shepherd knows his sheep, oh, lord, and today your sheep. As they, as they call out to you, lord, you will answer them, hallelujah. Some of you are putting on wings and flying. For some of you, chains are being broken, gates are being shattered, doors are being shattered, doors are being opened that no man can shut, only because you are good. You are a good shepherd. Your father, who has picked you even before the foundation of time, has inscribed your name on the palms of his hands. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. The word says Hallelujah, hallelujah. Thank you for your beautiful presence. Oh lord, in jesus name I pray, amen.
