The Transforming Secret
God’s love for us is unlike any human love — it’s boundless and unconditional.
How do we know this? By truly understanding what Jesus did for all of mankind.
Join us this week as we explore the depth of God’s love and uncover a secret that can transform how we view life’s toughest moments.
”And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.“
- I Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
This beautiful day. I want to start and start with telling you that God loves you and Jesus loves you, and I want to tell you that, you know, we only understand love from the background that we come from, and that is we're human and we only understand human love. And that is, I want to tell you, human love is very conditional. Of course, there are people who love you, there's no doubt about that, but God loves you unconditionally and I want to tell you last year, last week, we heard from the word of God how God, of course, because he loved his people, israel he took them out from slavery and they cried out to him for many years but he finally heard and he came and he freed them from slavery and the Bible says he was always with them. That was his promise to them and he, he destroyed the enemies. He fought their battles for them. In Z Zephaniah 3.17 says he will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing Hallelujah. He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing. Most of us know that when we are in a point, a point of noise and chaos in life, the best thing to do is just sit in a nice, quiet place, and this passage of scripture says he will quietly. The creator of heaven and earth will quiet you with his love, hallelujah, and he will rejoice over you with singing. Don't be mistaken. This beautiful morning I want to tell you God loves you and he will sing over you Hallelujah. He will sing over you. The Bible says and I'm going to the word of God from John 3.16 that says For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish and have eternal life. God so loved the world. I want to tell you God gave his best for you and me. He didn't just take an angel who was sitting somewhere on the corner in heaven and send him down and said come on, you die for this race, you die for this creation that I have made. He took his best. And I want to tell you Jesus didn't come down on this planet to take a pinprick for you. You die for this creation that I have made. He took his best and I want to tell you Jesus didn't come down on this planet To take a pinprick for you. He didn't come down on this planet To just be blamed or say, yes, I am guilty. He didn't come for any of that. He came To die an excruciatingly painful death on a cross for you and me, and that only when you understand that will you understand the love that God has for you. And it's very easy to say, yes, I know, I will put down my life for this person and I will put down my life for that person. But it's a very different thing when you actually have to come down to do it.
Speaker 1:But coming back, jesus came to die an excruciating death on a cross. I want to tell you. The bible says he took lashes on his back. For you and me, he was flogged. The bible says he took a crown of thorns on his head. He was flogged. The Bible says he took a crown of thorns on his head. He took humiliation by being struck on his head with a reed and being spat upon. And if that was not enough, after all, that he was willing to get on a cross and be nailed to a cross. For you and me, that's not something, that's not something small, that's not something a normal person will do.
Speaker 1:You should mark down this passage of scripture that I'm sharing with you next is from the book of Romans, the fifth chapter, the seventh and eighth verse, and it's, it is just so beautiful and I'm going to read it out to you and hear it meditate on it. For one will hardly die for a righteous man. The bible says, though perhaps for the good someone would dare even to die. And then it goes on to say in the 8th verse but God demonstrates his own love towards us in that, while we were yet sinners, christ died for us. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. That's a deep passage of scripture. Romans, the fifth chapter, the seventh and eighth verse says for one will hardly die for a righteous man, though perhaps for a good man someone would dare to even die. But god demonstrates his own love towards us that while we were sinners, christ died for us, died for us his son. Love towards us that while we were sinners, christ died for us, his son died for us while we were sinners.
Speaker 1:So, coming back, I want to tell you Jesus loves you and it's a very deep, it's a very deep love to take all that just for us. No, no normal person would do that. But God loves you. This morning I want to tell you that. And I want to tell you that others might abandon you at the time when you think that you are at your most vulnerable. You think at your time when you are the lowest in life, at the time when you think that you need help and you'll have no one around. Because I started with telling you that man's love is conditional. Maybe sometimes you're of use to someone, maybe they need your help. Of course, people do love others there's no doubt about that and they'll be there. Some people will be there for you. But God's love is unconditional and, as I said, if you look back at times when you were the lowest, you you might just remember that there aren't too many people with you, and there are times when you feel like you are completely alone. But I want to tell you this morning that God loves you and Jesus loves you. And don't be mistaken At all, because he came down on this planet To die on a cross for you and me. He didn't even know you by then. You were not even made, your name was not even formed. So, without even knowing you, he came. You were not even made, your name was not even formed. So, without even knowing you, he came down on this planet to save you and give you eternity. Hallelujah. And today, I want to leave you with a secret, and God I want to tell you.
Speaker 1:God tried many, many ways to reach out to man. In the Old Testament, if you get into it and you read it, there are multiple ways that God tried to reach out to man. In the Old Testament, if you get into it and you read it, there are multiple ways that God tried to reach out to mankind. He spoke through many, many prophets. In fact, the Bible even says that the world came down to one single prophet. All of them were finished.
Speaker 1:Well, that's a different story. And he spoke through visions. He spoke through clouds. He spoke through pillars of cloud by day and pillars of fire by night, the same story which I shared with you last week, where he saved the Israelites from slavery. He speaks through angels. He speaks through a burning bush. He speaks through a still small voice. But after all that I would like to say, god was still not happy with the outcome With mankind. He was not. So, as I said, there was a negotiation and finally, as one final act of love, he decides that he's going to send his son down. He will send his best down. He will send his only begotten down to this earth to save the whole of mankind. From that time on till time before that, to the time after that, till the earth will cease. He will save everyone through him, hallelujah. And this beautiful morning I said I'm going to share a secret with you, and this comes from the book of Corinthians.
Speaker 1:And just to give you a background, corinthians is written by the Apostle Paul and he writes it to the church at Corinth. The Bible says Of course it's a deep book. I mean, if you read it you will know it's a deep book. And let me tell you something Before I get into this book. I want to tell you the Bible says that God worked, and I'm reading it to you from the word of God. It's exactly the way it's quoted in the Bible. God worked, and I'm reading it to you from the word of God. It's exactly the way it's quoted in the Bible.
Speaker 1:God worked extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, the same person who wrote the book of Corinthians To the church at Corinth. The Bible says God worked extraordinary miracles Through the hands of Paul. The Bible says even his handkerchiefs and aprons Were brought from his body and thrown on the sick and they were healed, hallelujah. Wow, that never happened with anyone. The bible says diseases left them and even evil spirits went out of them, just through his handkerchiefs and his aprons that he wore. So Paul knew something for sure, and that's what I'm going to share with you this morning.
Speaker 1:The secret comes from the 13th chapter in the book of Corinthians, and Paul, who was writing to the church at Corinth, is giving a secret to the people at Corinth and I'm sharing it with you this morning. From the book of Corinthians, the 13th chapter, the 13th verse but now, faith, hope, love, abide these three, but the greatest of these is love. Hallelujah, hallelujah. That's a powerful passage of scripture. It says but now, faith, hope and love, abide these three, but the greatest of these is love, oh, hallelujah. This is in his letter to the church at Corinth.
Speaker 1:Paul writes to them and I want to tell you if you ever read the book of Hebrews, it talks about faith and what faith can do and what faith has done for the people and the names of prophets who are mentioned in the Bible, and it says through faith, abraham became the father of many and through faith, peter walked on water. Through faith, elijah called on fire from heaven. And that's faith for you and you think isn't. Isn't that, isn't that ultimate? No, it's not, because the bible says the greatest of faith, hope and love is love. And he's giving you the three pillars that you should live your life by on this planet faith, hope. If you ask me, hope is aligned to faith because it says being sure of things you hope for. That's what faith is. So faith and hope come together and the greatest of these is love, hallelujah. The greatest of these is love, oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And then he goes on to tell them and this is from the 13th chapter, the eighth verse. It says love never fails. And you know it's very. You know our walk with God. I mean, people have different walks with God and I want to tell you that my initial walk with God, I only wanted to know about the blessings of God. I didn't want to know about anything else. I wanted my bank balance full, wanted. You know. You know you know what I mean, the materialistic stuff. But today I want to tell you that the bible says everything is ye and amen, in the name of jesus and through the word of god.
Speaker 1:Today, understand this passage of scripture, because it is ye and amen and you should understand it in your spirit and I'm reading it to you now, from the 13th chapter, the 8th verse Love never fails. And listen to this. Listen to this and you will understand the importance of love. If there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away. If there are tongues, they will seize. If there is knowledge, it will be done away with, oh hallelujah. Another version says if there is knowledge, it will vanish away, oh hallelujah. This is a true secret and I want to tell you this morning, and understand it in your spirit, that love never fails. The bible says love never fails. You can be prophesying and it will fail. If you don't have love, oh, you can preach and you can speak in tongues, you can pray in tongues, and they will cease, which means it will stop. It will stop to have the effect that it is supposed to have. If you don't have love and if you have knowledge knowledge from the most high it will vanish away. If you don't have love, oh Hallelujah, that's the word of God, it's not mine.
Speaker 1:1 John 4. The 7th and 8th verse says beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love, does not know God, for God is love. Hallelujah, god is love. Hallelujah, god is love.
Speaker 1:I want to tell you, if you know Jesus this morning and you've accepted him as your savior or at some point of time, you've gotten to know about him, understand that he came on this planet just as an act of love and God is love. The Bible says, and if you know Jesus, you ought to know love. When he went on that cross, first of all, the people who he saved, healed and delivered were the ones who put him on that cross. When he went on that cross, he looked at the sky and said father, forgive them. Do you know anyone who would do that besides someone who was operating in absolute love? And I want to tell you this morning, operating in absolute love. And I want to tell you this morning Again mark the scripture down 1 John, you know the 4th chapter, the 7th, all the way down to the 11th verse.
Speaker 1:The 8th verse says the one who does not know, the one who does not know love, does not know God, for God is love. And listen to this by this the love of God was manifested in us that God has sent his only begotten son into the world so that we might live through him. And this is love. Not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins beloved. If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I want to tell you we've all been hurt at some time or the other by someone on this planet or on your life here, or maybe multiple people.
Speaker 1:But the important thing to walk away with today is to forgive them and love them. It doesn't mean you need to call them up and say, come home and have a meal with me. It doesn't mean you need to transfer money into their bank account. It just means let them go and forgive them, father. Forgive them, for they know not what they do.
Speaker 1:He's saying that for the people who hung him to a cross. He's saying that to people who whipped his back. He's saying that for the people who put a crown of thorns on his head. He's saying that to the people he drove demons out of and they spat on him. He's saying that to the people he drove demons out of and they spat on him. He's saying it for those people. And if you know that, creator, and if you know that saviour who died on that cross for you and me, if you know him by his name Because you are a sheep, he knows you. If you know him, you have to operate in faith Because he is love and you have love in you. And I want to tell you this morning that, beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Speaker 1:As I said, go back in time and forgive anyone who has hurt you this morning. It's a difficult thing to do, it's not easy, but if you've accepted Jesus as your saviour, that's something. Difficult thing to do. It's not easy, but if you've accepted Jesus as your saviour, that's something you have to do. And there might be that one person who will say no, I just, I've forgiven them for sure, but that one, just that one, I just want to hold on to a little bit. I've forgiven them, but a little bit I want to not like them. No, no, just forgive them all and just move on. Release them from your heart, because the Bible says and just move on, release them from your heart because the Bible says and I've told it to you from the book of Corinthians love never fails.
Speaker 1:And you know what if you actually picture a few situations that you have in your life at this point of time and you think they've not moved? If you think they've not moved for a few days, you think they've not moved for a month, you think they've not moved for a really long time. So the word of God today, I'm here to tell you that you need to change the way you're looking at the situation and you need to bring love into that situation. Leave your analysis aside, leave your. The Bible says, leave your prophecies aside, leave your knowledge aside, because the only thing that will work is love. So today, this morning, look at all those situations you have and you think those mountains that are not moving, because the only thing that will work is love. So today, this morning, look at all those situations you have and you think those mountains that are not moving, because the Bible says faith can move mountains and the Bible also says there's faith, hope and love, and the greatest of all of them is love. So if you can't see through that wisdom of God today, this beautiful morning, because I'm here to share that with you the things will not change and, as I said, people can prophesy over you and it won't work if you don't work in love. And you can pray in tongues and it won't change anything because you have no love if you have no love. So I would tell you this beautiful morning through the word of God look at those situations, take some time today, close that room and leave those situations at the feet of God and say it's not possible for me to do it. But you change my heart, oh Lord. It's not possible for me to do it, but you change my heart, oh Lord, and let me give up these people in love and you look at tackling those particular situations.
Speaker 1:In love, love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13, chapter 8, verse says Love never fails. Hallelujah, some of you can feel God's presence right now. 1 Corinthians 13 says Love never fails. And hear this, let it sink into your spirit and understand the word of God this morning. Meditate on it. Whether there are prophecies, they will fail. Whether there are tongues, they will cease. Whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. All you need to do and understand from this beautiful day that God has given us through his love for us. His love never fails. The Bible says love never fails.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, let's pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time, lord, I thank you for your love that you've showered upon us. Lord, I thank you for sending your son on the planet, your only begotten, as an ultimate act of love for us. I thank you, lord. Some people can feel you this beautiful morning. Thank you, lord, that you're showing your people your love that you have for them. I thank you, lord, that, oh, hallelujah, some people are having a change of heart, lord, and they're bringing, they're forgiving some people, some people are bringing love into those situations.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, give you glory and honor and praise, lord, for your beautiful word, your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has to. Lord. I thank you, lord, for your beautiful word that says love never fails. And I ask, lord, that you change our heart, make it ever true, change our heart that we may be like you and bring your love into our lives. Lord, that we may work in love and though faith and hope be our pillars, Lord, we will make love our center. Lord, thank you for the love that you showered upon us. Lord, thank you for the mercies that are new every morning that we know not of only because of your love for us. Lord, thank you for this beautiful time. Thank you for this beautiful day that you've given us. Holy, holy, holy Lord, god Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Hallelujah. Thank you for this time, lord. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
