- Deuteronomy 31:8 NASB1995
This beautiful day. I am excited to share God's word with you, and I want to start directly with a recap of last week and just a reminder to each of you again that God loves you and he will never leave you nor forsake you. His word says and we heard through the word of God and abide, faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love. Hallelujah and love. And the greatest of these is love. Hallelujah clearly tells us we need to relook our lives in a different way. We need to look at it with love as our building block and our core and work everything around that Hallelujah. And today I want to talk to you about something beautiful and I want to start directly with the Old Testament, from a time in the life of Moses, and I want to tell you that God worked through Moses in a powerful way. You know, god worked through Moses and the first time he spoke to him, he spoke to him through a burning bush For some of you who didn't know this and he calls out to him Moses, moses. And Moses says here I am, and he looks at the bush because he's intrigued that there's this bush on fire and it's the bush is not getting consumed by the fire. And then God turns and starts to tell him how he has heard the cry of his people and how they have been afflicted by Egypt and the Pharaoh and by his people he means Israel here. And you need to understand that there is a conversation happening between God and Moses. And how beautiful is that? And, as I said today, I have something beautiful to share and through our time today, you will know, through the word of God, what a beautiful relationship they share. And, coming back to it, god tells Moses that he will send Moses to Egypt to free his people, the Israelites, from slavery and from Egypt. And you need to understand that Moses is just, I mean, he's just taking a walk at this time when he's on this mountain and in this place, where he's seeing the burning bush. He's with the, he's with cattle and, anyway, moses has one question at this time that anyone might have, and he asked God, lord, who am I? That I should go to Pharaoh and and that I should go and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt. Who am I, lord? And here's what God answers him from Exodus 312. And he said certainly, I will be with you and I shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you. And when you have bought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain, oh hallelujah. What a beautiful passage of Scripture. God has already planned it. God already knows what's going to happen. He's even told him you will come back here and worship me at this very same mountain, oh hallelujah. But hey, here it is, and I don't even know the timelines.
Speaker 1:Moses is just with his cattle and speaking to god for the first time and of course, he will have this question you want me to take the israelites out of slavery from egypt, which was the most powerful culture at that time, or let's call it civilization at that time. And he asked him Lord, who am I? That you will send me, that I should go and get your people. And he says certainly, I will be with you and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you, hallelujah. And then Moses asks I will go to Israel, I will go. He starts with saying here I am, hallelujah. I will go to Israel to free the people and I will tell them that the God of their fathers has sent me. And if they ask me. Oh lord, what is his name? What shall I say to them? And God says to Moses I am who I am. Tell them, I am has sent you, oh, hallelujah. That's the first time you hear a name coming out of God himself. I am who I am. Tell them, I am has sent you, oh hallelujah, hallelujah. And as it goes after that, that God worked tremendously through Moses and he brought ten plagues onto the Pharaoh. Because he even tells Moses I will harden the heart of Pharaoh and he will not let my people go. And through Moses and the staff, that staff, he brings upon ten plagues on Egypt and he hits them hard. And the last one is the most devastating one.
Speaker 1:The Bible says where every first born in the land of Egypt was struck by God, including the first born of every cattle in the whole of Egypt. And that was enough. And the Pharaoh lets the people go and if that was not enough, while they on their way and the Egyptians are following them, they're standing in front of the Red Sea with the enemy behind them and they all cursing Moses now why have you brought us to our death? And he parts the Red Sea with the enemy behind them and they're all cursing Moses. Now why have you brought us to our death? And he parts the Red Sea through Moses. God parts the Red Sea through Moses. That the Israelites walk through the sea on dry ground, the Bible says and when the Egyptians followed them to destroy them, the sea rolled back on them and they were no more including the Pharaoh Hallelujah him. The sea rolled back on them and they were no more including the Pharaoh hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And now, after all, this God is leading his people to the land that he promised their forefathers. He keeps telling Moses, through through the time that Moses has with God, he keeps telling him I'm taking you to the land that I promised Abraham Isaac and Jacob, saying to them your descendants, I will give this land. So you see, he's taking the Israelites to the promised land, as he promised their forefathers. And, mind you, if ever you want to know about this beautiful time, this beautiful time in the life of the Israelites and Moses, and that turning point in their lives, go read the book of Exodus. It's all there in the Bible and you know, you might remember, I have spoken to you about this tent of meeting, where God used to speak with Moses, and I have also told you.
Speaker 1:I remember very clearly mentioning about the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night that led the Israelites to the promised land. The moment they left Egypt, god was in their midst. The Bible says and there was a pillar of cloud that led the way by day and the pillar of fire that lit the way at night and took them to the promised land. And I want to tell you, and in case you just did not know this, every Moses would go to that tent. Remember the tent, it's called the tent of meeting. The pillow of cloud, the Bible says, would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent and the Lord would speak with Moses face to face. The Bible says oh, hallelujah, as a man would speak with a friend, now some of you can feel God's presence. Oh, hallelujah, beautiful Savior, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And let me tell you, there is this time. That is this time where these very same Israelites, who have seen God work in signs, miracles and wonders, brought down ten plagues on Egypt, destroyed the Egyptian army and the Pharaoh passed the Red Sea. And there's this time, which we all know, or some of you don't, when Moses gets the Ten Commandments from God, or let's just call it. He gets the commandments from God and God leads him to this place called Mount Sinai and he tells him come to the top, the topmost of Mount Sinai, and I will meet you there. Oh hallelujah, he speaks with Moses there yet again, and I want to tell you that when Moses was on on Mount Sinai getting the, the commandments from God, the people down, those very same Israelites, make a golden calf and God gets angry with them. And just to let you know, that's the reason why that very same group of people, that age group, did not get to see the promised land. They all died before they got there. But hey, that's a story for another day. And God gets angry with them. And the Bible says that after that, moses of course destroys it.
Speaker 1:But after that, when he goes back to the tent of meeting, don't forget, god is angry with his people now. And in the book of Exodus, the 33rd chapter, the 14th verse onwards, exodus 33, 14 and he said my presence shall go with you and I will give you rest. And then he said to him if your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah. Moses knows that God is angry with his people. He's angry with him. He's angry with Aaron, his brother, who helped them make that golden calf. But I want to tell you that after that, when he goes back to the tent of meeting Moses, is talking to God and God tells him my presence shall go with you and I will give you rest. And then Moses turns to him and tells him Lord, if your presence does not go with us, just don't take us from here to any place. Oh, hallelujah, what a heart Moses had. What a relationship God had with Moses. If your presence does not go with us, lord, do not lead us up from here. Hallelujah. Exodus 3.12. I'm going back to it. Exodus 3.12. Certainly, I will be with you, said the Lord. Exodus 33.14. My presence shall go with you, says the Lord.
Speaker 1:The presence of God, people, you beautiful people whose names are written on the palms of his hands, the presence of the great I am hallelujah. That presence was with Moses from the very beginning, when he spoke with him through the burning bush. In fact, he tells him you're on holy ground. Take off your sandals, moses. You're on holy ground. His presence is holy, oh, and some of you can feel his presence from the very beginning through the plagues that came on to Egypt, to the release of the people from slavery, to the parting of the Red Sea, to Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the commandments and he spoke with him as a friend After the time that the time of Moses had ended. God's presence was always with Moses. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And most of you are familiar with this word change of God. And wait. As you remember, there is a time of the change of God and Moses's time is up and has. There's somebody else who has to take up this mantle, and you remember that tent. I've told you about that tent and I've told you this before too.
Speaker 1:When Moses would leave the tent, the Bible says his servant Joshua it only refers to Joshua as a servant his servant Joshua would stay back in the tent to be wait for it in God's presence. Oh hallelujah, oh hallelujah. Moses would leave the tent and Joshua would stay back in the tent just to bask in the presence of the most high. Oh hallelujah. And, of course, after that, god asked Moses to hand down his responsibilities to Joshua, because Moses's time is up and the bible says some beautiful stuff about Moses and how he is at the age of 100 plus. And how is how? He was functioning? Perfectly well. The bible says his eyesight was perfect illness. You should read it the presence of the most high.
Speaker 1:And coming back, moses now is handing it down to Joshua his responsibilities. And let me tell you this when the rains were given to Joshua, listen to the first thing that God tells Joshua. This is the first time that Moses, the Bible, says that Moses now is dead and buried, and this is the first time that Joshua is leading the people that Moses got out of slavery, the people of God. And this is what God has to say to him from the book of Joshua 1.3. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given to you, just as I spoke to Moses, amen, hallelujah. Every place on which the sole of your feet, of your foot, treads, I have given to you, just as I spoke to Moses.
Speaker 1:And immediately after that he says no man will ever be able to stand before you all the days of your life, joshua, and just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you and I will not fail you nor forsake you. The presence of the Most High, hallelujah, my presence will be with you, joshua, and no man will be able to stand before you All the days of your life. And if that's not a promise from the Most High, there cannot be a better promise than this. No man, hallelujah. The presence of God With Joshua. And let me tell you something in case you didn't know. I already told you what God did, what God did through Moses, and if that was not enough, the Bible says God through Moses, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:God, through Joshua, made the Sun stand still, oh hallelujah. Oh wait. And the moon too. He commands the Sun to stand still over Gibeon and he tells the moon he, just in case you decide to move, you stay still over the on. The presence of the Most High was with him. Oh hallelujah. Joshua won every battle promised to him, as God had told him. I will give you every place that your foot treads upon. The walls of Jericho came crumbling down because of the presence of the Most High. That's down because of the presence of the Most High that surrounded the city. The presence of the Most High, hallelujah, oh. I can go on and on and I can go on and I'm just, I'm just leaving it to Moses, leading to Joshua, as it was the chronological thing, the chronological way that the events unfolded in the Bible. But I'd like to give you a few more examples and leave you with it.
Speaker 1:Peter walked on water when the presence of Jesus was with him, the presence of the Most High, the presence of the Most High. Shadrach, meshach and Abednego went dancing into a furnace. The furnace was turned up seven times hotter than what it was, the Bible says. The Bible says that the people who went to put them in the furnace got burnt. And you have Shadrach, meshach and Abednego dancing in that furnace. They are dancing in the furnace. Didn't we put three in there? I see four. The king said I see four, and the fourth is like the son of God. Oh hallelujah. The presence of the most high was with them in the furnace. Jesus was with them in the furnace. Oh hallelujah.
Speaker 1:I want to tell you this beautiful morning, this beautiful day I started with telling you I have something beautiful to share with you and I want to tell you that God is not a respecter of people. What he did for Moses, what he did for Joshua, what he did for Peter, what he did for Sh, what he did for Joshua, what he did for Peter, what he did for Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. He will do for you too, and this is for you this morning, and this is the secret I want to give you that has been revealed to me this beautiful day. All you need is his presence. All you need is his presence.
Speaker 1:And let me tell you something when all these names that I mentioned to you this beautiful morning, let me just tell you one thing that differentiated them from anyone else on the planet faith in the fact that His word is true. He said it and they believed it. Jesus said it and they believed it. God said it and they believed it. Oh, hallelujah. And this is for you this morning. Understand it in your spirit, let it soak, let it get into your core the presence of the Most High, the presence of the Most High, the presence of the Most High. Just listen to what God has to say and believe it. And these words from the Most High are for each of you this morning, and some of you in specific, and you know who you are. Enjoy His presence, bask in His glory. Understand this in your spirit.
Speaker 1:Deuteronomy 31.8 says the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. Mark this down, mark it down, never forget it. Deuteronomy 31.8. The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Amen, hallelujah. Oh, the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Isaiah 41, 10. Mark it down. Mark these scriptures down. If you're using an app, you can go and highlight them and read it in your own time. Meditate on it in your own time. Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not fear, for I am with you. The creator of heaven and earth, the great I am, yeshua Jesus, is telling you, just as he told Moses and just as he told Joshua I am with you. Do not fear, do not look anxiously about you, don't look left and right. What am I going to do? What am I going to do? I am your God. I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you in my righteous right hand. Amen, oh, hallelujah. Some of you can feel god presence, god's presence tremendously. Enjoy it.
Speaker 1:Joshua 1, 9. I have. Have I not commanded you, joshua? Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous, do not tremble or be dismayed, for the lord, your god, is with you wherever you go. Wherever you go, wherever you go. Do you not understand that? Have I not commanded you, joshua, be strong and courageous, stand upright, put your chin up. Do you know who's standing at your right hand? The creator of heaven and earth? What is your situation in front of you that you are trembling? What is your situation in front of you that you fear or you're looking anxiously about you? Hallelujah, do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go. Amen, and this is for someone in particular. I know who you are and you know who you are.
Speaker 1:Psalm 65, 11, says you have crowned the year with your bounty and your parts drip with fatness. Hallelujah, he has crowned your year With bounty and his paths Dripped with fatness. He is with you, he is already with you. Hallelujah, enjoy this year that he has chosen for you. Enjoy this year that he has decided to go ahead of you and make every crooked path straight. The Bible says oh, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh, dear Lord, that he has decided to go ahead of you and make every crooked path straight. The bible says oh, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh.
Speaker 1:Dear lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for this beautiful word. I thank you, lord, for a double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. Lord, I thank you for your presence that's with each and every one of us. I thank you, lord, for your presence that people can feel right now. I thank you, lord, for your resurrection power.
Speaker 1:That same presence that was with Moses, that same presence that was with Joshua, the same presence that was with Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, is with each and every one of us and everyone who hears this word this beautiful day, this beautiful morning, this day that you choose to have them hear it. I thank you for your beautiful presence, lord. I thank you for your paths that drip fatness. I thank you, lord. Your word says that you've gone ahead and made every crooked path straight for us. I thank you, lord, for your word that says you will never leave us nor forsake us.
Speaker 1:I thank you, lord, for your word that says that we Need not be anxious for anything or look about us anxiously, for you are with us always and you lead our way. Thank you, lord, for your beautiful presence that's filling, filling people's lives, it's filling people's homes, it's filling their heart, and they know that you are with them. Thank you for the hope that you've given us, thank you for the faith that you are building, thanks for the things that we are sure of, the things that we do not see and I know are going to happen. In your name, in the name of Jesus, where every knee will bow on the earth, above the earth and below the earth. To the great I AM, I give all glory and honor and join in the hosts of angels that sing Holy, holy, holy Lord, god Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Amen, amen, amen, amen. Amen.
