The Secret Armour
When life feels like an uphill battle, there’s one truth you need to hold on to- the battle isn’t yours but God’s.
Yet, being equipped with the secret armour of God is how we prepare ourselves to receive His help and stand strong.
Tune in to this week's episode as we uncover what this divine armour truly is and how it empowers you in every battle.
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
- Ephesians 6:13 NKJV
today I want to talk to you about a very important topic and I'm excited to get straight into the word of god, and it's uh, it's an important one because it's about our daily life on this planet and how we need to align ourselves with the word of God to tackle our life on this planet.
Speaker 1:And I want to tell you that Jesus, when he came on this planet, he faced challenges too, and it's very important to understand that. He also says that if they criticize me, they will criticize you and our life on this planet, I want to tell you, will have challenges. So I just want to set that foreground before we start this morning, that don't think that the day you accept Jesus, it's going to be a cakewalk. It won't. But I want to tell you that we will have challenges in life and, as I said, I want to get straight into the word of god today. And I want to start with the words of jesus, and I'm reading to you directly from the book of Matthew, the 10th chapter, the 16th verse, which says behold, I send you a sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, hallelujah, hallelujah. And I want to tell you it's the wisdom from the most high. It's the words of Jesus when he was on this planet, and I want to tell you that he sent it. He said it A very long time ago and you know, some of you might think that no, this is. This is a different situation. He said this to his disciples it doesn't count for me, no, no, it counts for you. I want to tell you that jesus's words are all encompassing. His words are life and truth, and understand this today and don't miss it. That Jesus said you are sheep amidst the wolves in this day and age, on this planet, and I'll come back to this scripture later on today from Matthew. But keep it in mind, jesus' words are not mine. I send you amidst, I send you a sheep amidst the wolves. And then he also says, as I said, I'll come back to it, but this is beautiful. It says be as wise as serpents serpents are smart, don't think that they're dumb animals and harmless as doves. And I'll come back to that. I told you I will, and I'm starting to get straight into it, because it says behold, I send you a sheep amidst the wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Speaker 1:And I'm going to get into the wise part right now and share with you from the wisdom of god, which is the word of god, and listen to this passage of scripture and understand it deeply in your spirit, because it's beautiful and it will give you a clear indicator of what I started off with, as in the challenges of life. And I'm reading to you directly from the word of God, from the book of Ephesians, the 6th chapter, the 12th verse onwards, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of darkness, against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Oh, the wisdom of the most high, this beautiful morning. And I wanted to start with that. And it says very clearly in this passage of scripture and you should mark this down and this should be your, this should be your benchmark going forward it says we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, we do not wrestle with human beings, we do not wrestle with what you understand in this world as physical stuff. We are instead in a spiritual battle the bible says in this passage of scripture and not one that is physical. We wrestle instead with principalities against powers, against rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Oh, your battle is a spiritual one. I want to tell you that this morning, and and you know what Some of you have physical Bibles and some of you use the app. You should read the different versions within the app. Read the NKJV, read the NASB, read the Amplified, and you'll understand this at a whole new level.
Speaker 1:So I want to tell you this morning, our battle is not with flesh and blood. In fact, it's a spiritual one. And I want to tell you that all these things that I just read out to you, they really sound scary, don't they? They sound dangerous, they sound difficult. But I'm not here to give you bad news this morning. I'm here to share with you good news, and I want to tell you this morning that, even though the scripture says what it says, I want to tell you that you are already equipped to manage this battle, and I will tell you this through the word of god. I will tell you this through the word of god. And first I want to tell you the bible says this battle does not belong to you. Hallelujah, hallelujah. This battle does not belong to you. The bible says and I do not want to dwell on that, but instead I want to give you the tools according to the word of god, because you are also a soldier standing on the right side of god, or, let's say, the right side of the right army, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:And I want to bring to you certain situations this morning and I just put them in front of you, and maybe it's something that you might relate to, maybe it's something you might not, and maybe you're struggling with a health situation, maybe it's a financial, maybe it's a financial one. Maybe you're all alone in something that you're doing, maybe you feel you're being attacked from all fronts and you have nowhere to go, maybe a situation that feels like a dead end. Maybe a situation that feels like a dead end. Maybe a task at work that feels impossible to complete. Maybe you're just lonely, and this is for someone. Maybe you feel your journey on this planet has no purpose.
Speaker 1:Whatever it is, I want to tell you this morning it's not a physical battle. It's not. It's not a physical battle, so don't look at that person as the enemy. It's something that's happening in the background. It's a spiritual one, and today I'm going to give you the secret, and you know what. It comes in the book of Ephesians right after this passage of scripture, and it's beautiful and it's it's wonderful, it's exciting. And I'm going to give you the secret. And you know what. It comes in the book of Ephesians right after this passage of scripture, and it's beautiful and it's wonderful, it's exciting. And I'm going to read directly from the book of Ephesians, the sixth chapter, the 13th verse onwards.
Speaker 1:That says, therefore, hallelujah, therefore, take up the full armor of God so that you will be able to resist in the evil day and, having done everything to stand firm, oh hallelujah. So you see, even though I started with telling you this battle does not belong to you, you still want to be in that position where you are putting on the whole armor of God. The Bible says that you may be able to withstand oh hallelujah in the evil day, having done all to stand. The bible says that means I want to tell you this morning that this battle can take you out. It can, but I told you I'm not here to give you bad news, I'm here to give you good news, and that is put on the armor of god.
Speaker 1:The bible says that you may be able to stand on the day of the evil one and having done everything that you may be able to stand, just stand is all it says. And it says so much, doesn't it? Because the bible is a beautiful book. Not a single word is out of place. And you'll ask me this morning what is the armor of god? I book, not a single word is out of place. And you'll ask me this morning what is the armor of god? I don't know what's the armor of god. What is it that I need to do to be prepared for this battle? What is the whole armor of god?
Speaker 1:And I will tell it to you again from the same passage of scripture, and I'm reading further, and you should really mark this down, take some time and meditate on it Ephesians 6 14 says excuse me, 6, 14 and 15 says stand. Therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having shod your feet with preparation Of the gospel of peace, hallelujah, I'll come back to 14 and 15. But I want to tell you this Shot your feet means nothing else, but put on some footwear and be ready for the journey or the task ahead. And in case you didn't know what's a breastplate it has, it's. It's a form of a shield around the chest, and the chest has your most important organs. And I said I'll come back to 14 and 15.
Speaker 1:I'm going straight down into 16, which says ephesians 6 16 above all, take the shield of faith. Take the shield of faith with which you will and listen to this, listen to this with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. One, hallelujah, oh, hallelujah. Different versions have different things to say about it. In addition to this, take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil. One, oh, hallelujah. The shield of faith, oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:I want to tell you this morning faith is an important armor, as ephesians 6 16 says. We need to carry the shield of faith that every it says, all the fiery darts or all the arrows that come, all, oh, hallelujah, that's a big one. Hallelujah, that the wicked one can send your way, all the fiery darts, the Bible says will be quenched with your shield of faith. Hallelujah. The bible says will be quenched with your shield of faith. Hallelujah 6, 17 says and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of god, hallelujah, hallelujah. Take on the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit and I'm coming back to 14 and 15 now and I'm giving it to you. Gird your waist with the truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit.
Speaker 1:Oh, hallelujah, it's the word of God. All of this is the word of God. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Your helmet, your waist, your breastplate, your helmet, your waist, your breastplate, your armor. Hallelujah, it's the word of God. Beautiful people of the most high. Hallelujah, the word of God, the word of God. In case you don't know what's the word of God, it's the Bible, it's your app, it's your physical Bibles that you use. It's the word of God, it's the spoken word of God. In case you don't know what's the word of God, it's the Bible, it's your app, it's your physical Bibles that you use. It's the word of God, it's the spoken word of God. It is any form of the word of God that you know, but the word of God, only, nothing else. Hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Ephesians 6.18 goes on to say praying always, with all prayer and supplication and the spirit being watchful to this end, with all perseverance and supplications. Oh, hallelujah. Let me just tell you what supplication means. Supplication means praying very earnestly, praying very humbly. You know there are times when you, when you are hurt deep, you know, sometimes you have a basic you. When you are hurt deep, you know, sometimes you have a basic cry and sometimes you have a deep cry, a deep one that calls deep, calls unto deep. It's one of those where you go down on your knees and you put your head between your knees and you cry out to God. That's supplication. And the Bible says praying to God, hallelujahlication. And the Bible says praying to God, hallelujah. It just works.
Speaker 1:People, you think I don't need to pray to God. You need to pray to God. The Bible says it, praying always with prayer and supplication. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I want to tell you, the bible even talks about supplication and uses the word begging or pleading god. Hallelujah, begging god. I told you it's one of those deep, deep prayers and here I want to come to a topic which most people do not even understand, but I'm going to explain it to you this morning. And it says with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, hallelujah, all prayer and supplication in the spirit.
Speaker 1:And some of you might ask what is this pray in the spirit? Hallelujah? I want to tell you and I'm going to take you to the book of Acts. I'm not going to read it to you. I'm going to take you to the book of Acts. I'm not going to read it to you, I'm going to leave it to you.
Speaker 1:It's in Acts, the second chapter, the first verse onwards, and it says that Jesus is gone and he's left his disciples behind and they're scared and they're hiding because people are looking for them to kill them. And the Bible says that it's the day of Pentecost and all the disciples are in one place and in one accord. The Bible says and the Spirit of God comes upon them. Divided tongues as of fire. The Bible says Hallelujah, and they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Bible says oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. I want to tell you.
Speaker 1:It's in Acts 2.1. Read it for yourselves. I do not want to get into. It's an act two one. Read it for yourselves. I do not want to get into it or confuse you this morning about it, but I want to tell you this much, and that is it's a gift of god and, just as I told you, the bible is beautiful. Not a single word is mixed and nothing is out of place and it's a secret to unravel certain things, just as the bible said that they were in one accord.
Speaker 1:I want to tell you this morning, if you are in one accord. I want to tell you this morning, if you are in one accord with God, he will send his spirit upon you, hallelujah, and it is just a gift from God. It's a gift. You cannot ask for a gift. God has to choose to give it to you and it's just a gift and he'll give it to you. But, as I said, you need to be in one accord with God and he will release his gift upon you. Hallelujah, amen.
Speaker 1:And I even want to tell you this, that there are many gifts of the spirit. So, in case you don't have it, it does not mean that you are any less or any more. Hallelujah, I want to tell you you are still the child of the most high and it's just a gift. And for those of you who do not have the gift of tongues, I just want to tell you this beautiful day you can go into a room and shut that door and pray to your father and ask him for this beautiful gift and, believe me, as I said, it makes. It does not make you any less or any more. If you do not have it, you can pray to god in your own language. Believe me, he understands all languages. He has created them.
Speaker 1:It's in the bible, by the way, hallelujah, the tower of babel. You can read it, hallelujah. And I want to tell you another one. And since I was sticking to ephesians and the sixth chaplain, all the answers came came from Ephesians six. There is one that's left out and it's a secret and I want to share it with you Another armor of God that you can put on, and it's from another passage of scripture and it's a tough one, but I'm sharing it with you this morning and it's a misunderstood one, but it's the word of God.
Speaker 1:It, hey, it's the word of god, it's an ultimate act of faith. I want to tell you it's a sensitive topic for most people and I want to tell you a topic the destroyer has worked hard to hide from everyone, and that is giving to god. And I'll share it with you from the word of god, and you take it this morning as you wish, I just leave it to you because it's the word of god, and I'm reading to you from malachi 3, 10, which says, and I'm reading to you directly's the word of God, and I'm reading to you from Malachi 3.10, which says, and I'm reading to you directly from the word of God it says bring the whole tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this. The Bible says, says the Lord of hosts this is the only passage of scripture that I know in the Bible that says test me now in this, hallelujah. And then he says test me now if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, hallelujah, and pour out for you a blessing, hallelujah, until it overflows. Amen. And then and listen to this I will rebuke the devourer for you. Amen, so that I will not, so that I will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your, I will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your vine in the fields cast its grapes, says the Lord of hosts. Fields cast its grapes, says the lord of hosts. All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land, says the lord of hosts. Oh, hallelujah, amen. Mark it down.
Speaker 1:Malachi 3, 10, 11 and 12, which says and I want to tell you this morning the one that I want to leave you with you. Go and check on google. What's the meaning of tithe? As I told you, I want to just leave you with the word of god and you decide what you get out of it. He says this to you and me this morning that he will rebuke the devourer for you. I told you this battle does not belong to you.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, I will rebuke the devourer. He says test me now in this and I will rebuke the devourer. The creator of heaven and earth is saying that to you, and he will, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your vine in the fields casted grapes, which means you will harvest only at the time of harvest. There will be no destruction on your land. And I want to tell you, just in case you didn't get it, you're not a tree, you and I are not tree. We don't have fruits, but it's a spiritual blessing, remember. I told you it's a spiritual battle, it's a spiritual warfare, and this is god's spiritual gift to you. Hallelujah, yes, it's a spiritual blessing, which is why he will stand in front of you and rebuke the devil. He doesn't even need to fight, he just needs to speak the word hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, do not miss it this morning and I'm leaving it to you and come encompassing it to you again. Read the word of god, hey. And you'll ask me this question Do I need to do this every day? I think that you need to do it every day Because I think this devourer guy is going to stand up every day to see what he can take away from you, because you were the child of the Most High. So I would say, read it every day that you may be able to stand the spiritual warfare every day, that you may be able to stand the spiritual warfare every day. Hallelujah, it's on you. But I want to leave you with this Read the word of God.
Speaker 1:The Bible says and mark Ephesians, mark it Ephesians 6, 12, all the way down to 18, and read it in your own time and meditate on it. And mark Malachi 3, 10 to 12, and read it in your own time and meditate on it. And mark Malachi 3, 10 to 12, and read it in your own time and meditate on it. As I would like to say, and I'm leaving you with this beautiful morning, read the word of God, align to his word this morning, gird yourself with the truth. Stand firm, put on the helmet and the breastplate of righteousness and shod your feet. All of these will come from the word of God alone. Hallelujah, faith. Put on your shield of faith. It's the only thing the Bible says that will extinguish the flaming arrows. Hallelujah, amen. There's prayer and supplication.
Speaker 1:Pray every morning. You'll think I don't remember the last time I prayed. Well, the bible says you're supposed to pray. And again I'm coming back to the second question how often should I do it? Do it every day. It doesn't mean you need to sit at on holy ground. You can do it when you're walking. You can pray in the spirit the whole day. If you don't have the gift yet, you will get it. Ask him for it. But, as I said again, align to the word of God. Be in one accord with him. That's when he can give you his spirit. Hallelujah, prayer and supplication. Pray every day with perseverance and thanksgiving. Hallelujah, pray in the spirit. Pray in the spirit. Get closer to God and he will give you his spirit. And last of all, the last beautiful is giving. Give to God and align to his word. He will open the floodgates of heaven. Pour out so much that you won't have room enough to contain it and he will stand in front of you and revoke the devourer. The devourer will have to go away. Hallelujah, hallelujah. The beautiful word of God has been released. The word says that it does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for, and I pray that you are good soil this beautiful morning. Let's all pray.
Speaker 1:Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for a beautiful word. I thank you for your wisdom. I thank you for your wisdom. I thank you for your spirit that's upon us, your spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding that's always at our right hand, lord. I thank you, lord, for taking control of the spiritual battle. This battle does not belong to us, lord. This battle belongs to you and you will fight on our behalf, lord.
Speaker 1:I thank you, lord, for letting us know this beautiful morning, through your word, that we have everything we need on this planet, lord, to fight this beautiful battle. Thank you, lord, for always being with us. The bible says he will never leave you for or nor forsake you. You know who you are. You think your life on this planet is useless. No, it's not. It's just it's that time when you just relook your goal and what you need to do, and he's never going to leave you nor forsake you. Hallelujah, thank you for this beautiful time. Thank you for your word. Thank you, lord. I pray this beautiful morning that you will make us all good soil, that your word will breathe life in us. A hundredfold, lord, thank you for this beautiful time. Thank you for your presence in people's homes. Thank you for your presence in people's lives. Thank you for this renewed strength that you have given people this beautiful morning to fight this battle. Thank you, lord. In Jesus name, I pray Amen.
