Speaker 1:

Hallelujah. Last week we heard about being sent out as sheep amidst the wolves, according to the word of Jesus. We also heard from, and we know actually now from the book of Ephesians, the sixth chapter, 12th verse onwards, that says we don't wrestle or our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against powers, against the world of forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And yes, it doesn't sound the best thing, but I told you last week, and I'm here again to share the good news is, yes, we are fighting a spiritual battle, and you might think that you're fighting flesh and blood, but the word of god clearly tells you that you are not. You are not fighting against flesh and blood. You don't have a struggle against flesh or blood, because that has already been conquered and that's a topic for another day. But in fact you have a spiritual battle and that too has been conquered. But the thing is being human and being flesh and blood. We have to do things differently on this planet, hallelujah. Things differently on this planet, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And the Bible, in the same passage of scripture, tells us Ephesians 6 or 13 onwards, tells us that we have to put on the armor of God to be ready for the spiritual battle. And Ephesians 6.13 says, therefore, take up the full armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, stand firm, hallelujah, powerful passage of scripture. And we also heard last week that the full armor of God is the word of God. Number one, number two, having faith. Number three, prayer and supplication in the spirit and number four, giving to God. And I think it is so important for us to understand this in a in a really in a deep manner, because you know, it's so easy to get up each day and just go on with life and things of the flesh will keep happening and you will tend to lose focus on this, on this aspect of life where it's not a battle of flesh and blood, it's a spiritual battle. And which is why, through the word of God today, where it's not a battle of flesh and blood, it's a spiritual battle, and which is why, through the word of God, today, I'm going to continue with this topic and as you heard, from Ephesians 6. 14, 15 and 17. It talks about the same thing, which is the word of God, and that's what I'm going to talk to you about today, from the word of God, about the word of God, which is the first tool that you and I have, or the first armor that you and I have to fight this spiritual battle every day. The Bible says, the Bible says it, it's not me. Hallelujah, stand firm. Having girded your waist with the truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, sort your feet with the preparation of the gospel. Hallelujah, take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Oh, hallelujah, what is the word of God? Hallelujah, what a beautiful passage of scripture. And you should really mark down this passage of scripture Ephesians 6, 12 onwards and all the way down to the 18th. Read it and meditate on it and you will understand each day how important it is to be ready for the spiritual battle. And today, as I said, aligned with the word of god and having to be prepared for the spiritual battle, the spiritual warfare, today I want to share with you the main hour that we have, which is the word of god, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And I'm going to the book of John, where 1 John 1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, hallelujah. You know, before I get into this, today I want to tell you, all of us here are educated and all of us here have a logical thinking. And today I want to tell you leave your logic behind. Don't try to analyze this, don't try to dissect this, don't try to bring your worldly wisdom to what this is, because this is a spiritual warfare and this is the word of god, and just take it the way the word of God is giving it to you this morning hallelujah 1.

Speaker 1:

John 1 says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, hallelujah. And then it goes on to say he was in the beginning with God. Now, suddenly, the word has been given a connotation by the word he. He was with God in the beginning. So we already know now that in the beginning was the word. The word is with God, and now the Bible is saying he is in the beginning with God. And then it goes on to say all things came into being through him and through him, all things came into being and apart from him, nothing has come into being. Hallelujah, hallelujah. It is clear and self-explanatory. Nothing was made without him, everything has been made through him and I want to tell you today, this morning, he is creation and he is Jesus, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And then look at the fourth in him was life and the life was the light of men, hallelujah. And then it goes on to say the light shines in the darkness and darkness did not comprehend it. Oh, hallelujah, do you see, in him is life. In him, the bible says, is light and the life is the light of men. Oh, hallelujah, the light shines in the darkness, the bible says, and the darkness does not comprehend it. I want to tell you, john over here is talking in the past tense because he's written the book after Jesus has left him from this planet, which is why he's talking about Jesus in the past tense. In him was life. I'm going to rephrase this and say in him is life. And we all know that today.

Speaker 1:

And in case you didn't, it is right here, from the word of God in 1 John 1 onwards, and words, and here's the secret, it says he shines in the darkness. Remember that we battle against the rulers of darkness. He shines, hallelujah, in the darkness. He is the light, he is life and he is light, hallelujah, and the darkness does not comprehend him. Oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

In case you didn't understand it, this beautiful morning, I want to tell you the darkness does not comprehend the light. It's because the light has made the darkness. Let me tell you that the darkness and principalities that are explained in the book of Ephesians, I want to tell you they have to hide from Jesus. Hallelujah, because they cannot comprehend him. Hallelujah, and I want to tell you this morning don't try and comprehend this through your worldly wisdom, because the bible, through your worldly wisdom, because the Bible says your worldly wisdom, our worldly wisdom. I'm also in this world and I want to tell you that our worldly wisdom, the Bible says, is foolishness to God. It's foolishness. Hallelujah, oh hallelujah. What a powerful passage of scripture this is. It says the light shines in darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it. Oh hallelujah, that's your answer, you, beautiful people of the most high, that's your answer that the word of God described in Ephesians is Jesus. And I want to tell you that in the spiritual world, the darkness cannot even comprehend him. Oh, hallelujah, I told you.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says this battle does not belong to you. The Bible says stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord. The salvation of the Lord has already come. 20-25 years ago. Those of them who saw it then saw it. You seeing it again is a spiritual thing. But the battle has already been won. Hallelujah, amen. And I told you already. Don't try and analyze it. This is the wisdom of God, don't try and dissect it. This is the wisdom of God, don't try and dissect it. It is the wisdom of God.

Speaker 1:

And today I want to give you the secret on how do you do it. How do you gird your waist with the truth? How do you put on the breastplate of righteousness? How do you shod your feet in preparation? How do you take on the helmet of salvation? How do you hold the sword of the spirit? Hallelujah, yes, it is jesus.

Speaker 1:

But how do we equip ourselves every day for this battle that we? That is at hand and we can't even see it. Because that's what the bible says we walk by faith and not by sight. So half the time you can't even see what's coming your way. More than half of it, I don't even know, maybe even more than that. Hallelujah, and I'm going straight into it this beautiful morning.

Speaker 1:

From the book of John, the 15th chapter onwards, john 15 4 says abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. So neither can you, unless you abide in me, oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. And then 5 goes on to say I am the vine and you and I are the branches. And we have to abide in the branch, in the vine, because without the vine the branch cannot bear any fruit in the words of Jesus, and neither can you and I bear any fruit unless we are with Jesus. The ones who abide in Jesus bear much fruit. The Bible says Hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

I have a very short word this morning, but it's a hard hitting word and it's a clear answer On how do we equip ourselves For these spiritual battles which I believe is daily. It's daily, you don't even know it, but apart from Jesus you cannot fight the darkness. I want to tell it's daily, you don't even know it, but apart from Jesus you cannot fight the darkness. I want to tell you that this morning, and as I said again from the word of God, go read 1, john 1. Go read John 15, 4 onwards. Go read Ephesians 6, 12 onwards.

Speaker 1:

Go and read these passages of scripture and meditate on it, and you will get to know this morning, through the word of God, that this battle that you and I are to fight, which we cannot even see, is not a battle that you and I could, for with the master and the creator of heaven and earth is, in fact, he's already won it. But you and I have to abide in him to be able to take on this battle, apart from Jesus. The Bible says for apart from me, you can do nothing. That means, in this spiritual battle, apart from Jesus, you and I can do nothing. That means we're just sitting there, unable to do anything in the spiritual battle.

Speaker 1:

But hey, I told you, I'm here to give you the good news and not the bad news this morning, and it's very, very simple. How do we, how are we going to prepare ourselves for this battle? How are we going to prepare ourselves for this battle, which is the main topic? How can you and I abide in the vine if we are the branches? It's very simple. It's very simple and you'll think it's complex, because the world has made religion complex. Jesus is not a religion. Jesus is somebody who loves you, he is your father, and religion will tell you a lot of things, but I will tell you how you can abide in him and it's very simple, which most of us just miss each morning.

Speaker 1:

You can just get up each morning and say good morning Jesus, hallelujah. I know we live in 2025 and we have tabs and iPhones and iPads and phones and news articles that we need to read the first thing in the morning. What happened yesterday? Who died, who is alive? What laws have been passed? When was the last time you got up, the moment you got off your bed, said Good morning Jesus, hallelujah. When was the last time you said Good morning Holy Spirit? When was the last time you said Good morning Abba, father, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Start your day with good morning Jesus, abide in Him, abide in Him. It doesn't say with Him. Start your day with good morning Jesus, abide in him, abide in him. It doesn't say with him. It says in him, hallelujah. And who of you thinks that if you say good morning Jesus, he is not saying good morning back to you? I can give you hundreds of scriptures for that, but I am not going to get into that this morning, so I am going to leave you with this Start your day with getting up and saying good morning Jesus.

Speaker 1:

And you'll say just don't look at your phone. How much time does it take to say good morning. You'll say good morning to your spouse. You'll say good morning to your partner, your parents, your dog, your cat. You'll say good morning to everyone else, but you won't say good morning to the creator. Say good morning to the creator. It will change things.

Speaker 1:

And second, read the word of God every day. You will say I cannot do that. Well, it's a spiritual battle. It's not me who's saying it, it's the Bible that's saying it. It's a spiritual battle and I can't write it down for you if there's something that's going to happen today or it's not going to happen today. I can't tell you if there's something that's going to happen on day three or it's not going to happen on day three. But all I can tell you, according to the word of God, is be ready for the battle every day, every day, so that you will be able to stand. The Bible says so. It's up to you whether you want to stand or not and, as I said, if it's so easy for you to go and find out what was the email that came in last night at 11.30pm, or find out what is your boss sent you on WhatsApp or whatever chat messages you use, or what is your favorite content creator put up on Instagram last evening.

Speaker 1:

I think you can get up and read something from the word of God Hallelujah, because it's your battle, it's not mine. I have, I'm sure, my own battles to fight spiritually and God fights them for me. Hallelujah. But am I putting myself in that position where I can fight this battle through the creator? Is what I have to leave you with, and I can only leave you with the tools. There's a saying in English you can take the horse to the water. You cannot make it drink it. So I can give you the tools, according to the word of God, but I can't make you do it. Doing it is on you.

Speaker 1:

So read the word of God every day, get up in the morning and I say trust me, try this. Get up and say good morning Jesus, good morning Abba, father, good morning Holy Spirit. What a beautiful day, thank you. And next, go to the word of God. And hey, I am not asking you to read an entire chapter or an entire book. All I am saying is read a verse, a scripture. Just read something that can take you through the day, meditate on it. Don't read it as a story. Of course, there are things that you can read as a story. Do it in your own time, but meditate on the word of God. And I want to tell you something this morning, in case you didn't get it. I'm telling you.

Speaker 1:

The Bible, first of all, is a love story between God and man and second, let me tell you that it's a book of abundance, blessings and secrets. And I will tell you when Jesus said when you speak to the mountain, it will go into the sea. When you speak to the mountain, what is the meaning of you speaking to the mountains? It means if you know the word of God, you can speak the word of God into your situation. Hallelujah. If you know the word of God, only then can you speak the word of God into your situation. Hallelujah. If you know the word of God, only then can you speak the word of God into your situation. And that's what he meant by a mountain saying that when that mountain comes, that spiritual mountain, speak the word and the mountain will go away. Hallelujah. But you need to know the word, which means you need to know what the Bible says, which means you will have to read it first. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says His mercies are new every morning, and I want to tell you, just in case you didn't know, for someone who is struggling with some situation this morning, I want to tell you that the bible says I've said it last week, I'm seeing it again this battle does not belong to you. It says stand firm and see. Salvation of the lord. Amen, hallelujah. I know we're only human and he has given us the tools, because he came many years ago and he left. But he gave us everything. And then he said in case you even still don't want to use those tools which I have given you, I will personally come down and fight for you, hallelujah, hallelujah, he fights on your behalf. That's why he says I will never leave you nor forsake you. And all I want to tell you this beautiful morning is try these two things, please try it.

Speaker 1:

Start your day with saying good morning to Jesus, because that's the only way I see you being the branch that can abide with the vine. And second, read the word of God. Something every day, something small. Okay, you can't do it in the first half, I don't know. Do it when you're sitting in the cab, do it when you're in the metro, when you're in the train, if you're on a flight, if you needed to leave home at 3 am in the morning just to catch that early flight. Hey, I'm not here to tell you how to do it. I'm just here to give you the tool. How you want to use it is up to you.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah, because when you use the word of God every day, you are prepared for the spiritual battle. Every day you are putting on the breastplate. Every day you have the helmet on. Every day you are girding your loin. Every day you're putting on those shoes to take on this battle. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. That's all, that's all. Pray.

Speaker 1:

Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for your presence. I thank you for your word that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for, lord. Thank you, lord, for preparing us for this spiritual Lord. Thank you, lord, for preparing us for this spiritual battle. I thank you, lord, for being our light. I thank you, lord, for giving us life. I thank you, lord, for your word that says that you go ahead and make every crooked path straight.

Speaker 1:

I thank you, lord, for the one over so many. On behalf of who you are fighting, lord, thank you, lord. They will stand firm and, in fact, some of them are even too weak to stand, but they will know that you are their salvation and they will see it in this week. Oh hallelujah, amen. You will see it this week. Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord, because he fights this battle on your behalf, just as he did for the Israelites, just as he did for Joshua, just as he did for Moses and he did for so many other people. He is doing it for, just as he did for Moses and he did for so many other people. He's doing it for you, because he's the same yesterday, today and forevermore, oh hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, lord, for your beautiful word, and change our heart, oh Lord. Make it ever true. Change our heart, oh Lord, that it may be like you. I pray, lord, that each of us may be able to make a relationship with you and abide as your word says. Abide in you. You are the vine and we are the branches. Without you, we can do nothing. Thank you for this beautiful time, thank you for this presence. Oh, I want to tell you I can see some people getting reattached to God this morning and praise God for that. That means you made a decision in your heart that you will do something about it. Hallelujah, thank you, lord, for this beautiful time, for your beautiful presence. In Jesus' name I pray Amen.
