“And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.”
- Luke 17:6 NASB1995
I'm excited to share the word of God this beautiful morning and I want to tell you that I'm going to get straight into it and I'm going. I'm going back to two weeks ago and remember I spoke to you all about these battles that we have to fight. How often it's not mentioned, but it just says that his mercies are new every morning. So I'm assuming that we have to fight these battles every day and I'm talking about being ready for these invisible battles that the Bible calls as battles against principalities and darkness and not against flesh and blood, and not against flesh and blood. And last week I shared with you about getting to know the word of God, being ready for this battle with the word of God, with reading the word having a relationship with Jesus, because it is clearly put in the book of Ephesians, the sixth chapter. Stand firm, having girded your waist, with the word having a relationship with Jesus, because it is clearly put in the book of Ephesians, the 6th chapter. Stand firm, having girded your waist with the truth, putting on the breastplate of righteousness, having shored your feet with the preparation of the gospel, take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, hallelujah, and now that I'm going back, it seems like, seems like a series, one following the other. But praise God for that. And now what I want to tell you is, through the word of God this beautiful morning, the second aspect that helps us to be prepared for this battle, and that is faith. Hallelujah. I don't tell you, no, faith is not an easy thing. If I look at an example of the first act of faith between all of Jesus' disciples who were with him, the first guy who walked out of the boat was Peter, one out of twelve. I won't say the others didn't have faith, they all did have faith. But I'm just saying that sometimes faith can be a difficult thing to do and today, through the word of God, I want to tell you that, through the words of Jesus, I want to show you something about faith. It will not be any of mine, it will be all of his and what he wants to tell you this morning. And I'll start straight with Jesus when he was with his disciples. I want to tell you that there's this time when he's warning them. You know that there's this time when he's warning them. You know there's a time when he's teaching them and there's a time when he starts preparing them for the time that he's going to be gone In a very subtle manner, of course, because he knew that they would get scared. So there's this time when he's warning them about the stumbling blocks that would come their way in life, and it's in the book of Luke, the 17th chapter, and you can read it when you'd like. I want to tell you, jesus obviously knew what was going to happen to each and every one of them. He knew how they would start and how they would end and that's why he handpicked them, because the Bible says he's the beginning and the end. And he loved them and he spent his time with them, he ate meals with them, he healed them, he had a one on one relationship with them. And he is telling them this is from the word of God that he is warning them About the stumbling blocks to come.
Speaker 1:And the apostles said to the Lord this is Luke 17. The 5th chapter, the 5th verse, blocks to come. And the Apostle said to the law this is Luke 17, the fifth chapter. The 17th chapter, the fifth verse. And the Apostle said to the Lord, which means all of them over there, increase our faith, I think, something which all of us would do. Lord, help me increase my faith and listen to Jesus' answer, because he answered it. And the Lord said If you had faith, like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and be planted in the sea and it would obey you. Hallelujah, Lord, increase our faith. They asked him when he was talking to them about the stumbling blocks of life. He calls it stumbling blocks, in case you didn't know, inevitable stumbling blocks, which means things will come your way in life.
Speaker 1:And the apostles turned to him and said Lord, increase our faith. And he doesn't say, yes, I'll increase your faith. He just says if you have faith, like a mustard seed, hallelujah. I want to tell you, the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds that we know, the smallest seeds actually recorded on this planet. There's only one other one that's smaller than that and most of us some of us use it in our kitchens.
Speaker 1:But Jesus tells his disciples that if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can tell the mulberry tree. You'll say why mulberry tree? There's another version that says you can tell the mountain to move from here into the sea and it will obey you. The mulberry tree is one of the trees that is very well rooted in the ground. It takes years before it does anything, which means it's a strong rooted tree. And he's telling the example that Jesus is giving his people is that you take one of the strongest trees that you know and you can just pick it up and put it into the sea.
Speaker 1:If you had fit, the size of a mustard seed hallelujah if you had faith. The size of a mustard seed Hallelujah If you had faith like a mustard seed. So what I want to tell you today, this morning, I've told you the Bible is beautiful. It does not mince words. It has deep meanings. If you catch, if you have a relationship with God, you'll find the deep meaning. And I'll tell you this that if you had a relationship with God, you'll find the deep meaning.
Speaker 1:And I'll tell you this that if you had faith, he says and today I want to tell you that I told you when I started faith is a difficult thing. And just in case, just in case you think you don't have faith, I want to tell you that when you accept Jesus, you have faith. It's there. Let's just say it's one of those things that you are born with.
Speaker 1:Maybe you don't know how to exercise it, and I like to call it a muscle. A faith is a muscle. We all have muscles. But you know, sometimes when you're walking on that street you see that buff guy full of muscles, and then you realize, okay, this guy goes to the gym and he exercises those muscles. So you have the muscle. I just want to tell you this morning maybe you're not exercising it, because jesus, when he was on this planet, all he said is if you had faith the size of a mustard seed, which means you have it, even if it's a small little one and you exercise it, you can move the mulberry tree or you can even move the mountain into the sea and it will obey you. Oh, hallelujah. And you'll say how do I do that? Romans 10, 17 has the answer. It says so faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. Hallelujah. So faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of Christ. The Bible says I can tell you this you can log in here every Sunday and you can hear the word of God by Christ and it will build your faith. I told you it's a muscle. How you use it or how you exercise it is upon you. We all have muscles. Depending on whether we use it or not, that part of your body is strong or it's not. So your faith walk with god will be strong or not, depending on if you use that muscle.
Speaker 1:And today I aligned with the topic of increasing faith. For all of you who work out, go to the gym, I want to tell you that this is a warm up. This is just a warm up for your faith muscle. This morning, the real exercise will have to be done by you. The warm-up with Jesus was when he said while he was walking on the sea, he said come, that was a warm-up. And Peter decided to exercise his faith and step out of the boat onto the sea, hallelujah. So I told you, the real exercise will have to be done by you and, again, by the word of God.
Speaker 1:I want, I want to assure you this morning that we have faith and even if you have it the size of a seed, a mustard seed, and you exercise it, you can do the impossible. Jesus's words, not mine. And today I can tell you that faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God, and I can tell you that, if it's, if you'd like to look at it as a muscle, and you hear the word of God week on week and you add it to your relationship with Jesus and you read the word every morning and you hear the word as often as you can. You're working on your faith muscles Hallelujah. And, as I said today, I'm just going to warm up your faith and the rest will have to be done by you.
Speaker 1:And I want to tell you some of you need to know this this morning. You know we all come from different parts of life and you know different lifestyles and different ages, and I want to tell you that we all have different paths and this is for someone, or maybe all of you need to know this that and I want to start with telling you this that jesus loves you. Hallelujah, he loves you. And in case you didn't know that, I want to tell you don't forget it, do not ever forget that Jesus loves you, because his word says I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. There's no clause to it. And I want to tell you that you've been purchased by a heavy price, a very heavy price. You've been purchased by the sinless lamb of god. You've been purchased by his blood. And in case, today, the world has undermined you or the people around you have made you feel less, don't think low of yourself, because you've been purchased by the most high.
Speaker 1:And as I said Today, I will just Exercise, I will just warm up your muscle, the rest is on you. And getting straight into the word of God. And some of you, I will tell you, will experience Jesus. Some of you will experience his Love. Some of you will experience his, his hand. Some of you will experience his hand. Some of you will experience his face, his countenance. Some of you will be in his shadow. Some of you will have his wings put around you. Hallelujah, all in this week. Amen, and I'm getting straight into it.
Speaker 1:Isaiah 43 is what I want to share with you and I'm going into it from the first verse, which says but now. Thus says the Lord, your creator. Now, now says the Lord, your creator, he who formed you, o Israel, do not fear, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name, you are mine. Hallelujah, now. I told you we all have different walks of life and I told you I'm just going to warm you up this morning. But the creator of heaven and earth today is telling you now I am calling you and I told you don't be afraid, do not fear. His word keeps saying that I will never leave you. But I want to tell you I have redeemed you. He says I have called you by your name, you have a name and he knows you by your name and he's telling you this morning you are mine, hallelujah. I want to tell you what's the meaning of redeemed.
Speaker 1:In the dictionary it says regain possession in exchange for a payment. Redeemed in the dictionary says regain possession, possession in exchange for a payment. Redeemed in the dictionary says Regain possession in exchange for a payment. Jesus has made a payment for you and I want to tell you this, in case you didn't know he's made a payment of life. He's made a blood covenant For you. He gave up his life for you. That's how he has redeemed you. You were going somewhere else. That's why it says regain possession. Excuse me, you were going somewhere else and I'm not going to get into that place, because that battle has been won already. And he made a payment and he exchanged your life for you and now you're on the right path and now he knows you by your name and you are his.
Speaker 1:So don't forget that this morning, the blood of Jesus has claimed you and now he knows your name and now you are his Hallelujah. And he's telling you this morning, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you. Amen. Through the rivers, they will be with you. Amen, through the rivers, they will not overflow you. And this is for someone. You might be in that situation where you think this is it, I am done. No, no, the river will not overflow you. His word says. And when you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. Amen, when you walk through the waters, I will be with you. Do you know the meaning of the fact that the creator of heaven and earth is telling you that, no matter what situation you will be in, when you pass through the waters I will be with you. And you know what I told you? This is a warm-up. Whether you believe it or not is on you. Taking that step of faith is on you. Exercising your muscle is on you.
Speaker 1:The creator of heaven and earth is telling you this morning I am with you, period. There's no clause to it. He's already bought you. He's purchased you by a heavy, heavy price, and if you're in that situation where you think it's above, you know the water will not overflow you. That's his word for you this morning, hallelujah. And when you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched and neither will the flame burn you. Here's your reassurance I will never leave you nor forsake you. Is in another part of the bible, and here in isaiah 43, 2, he is telling you I will never leave you, though in the waters, I am with you, though the river will not overflow you, and though you're walking through a fire, forget the river. If you're walking through the fire, it will not scorch you, nor will the flame even burn you. Hey, I'm going to take it to another step. Like Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, neither the smell of smoke will be on you, amen, neither the hair on your head will be singed. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Isaiah 43.3 says for I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour. I have given Egypt as your ransom, kush and Seba in your place, hallelujah. I want to tell you he's negotiated on your behalf other things, other people, other situations. He will throw into the mix in your stead, hallelujah. Some of you can feel the presence of God. Praise God for that, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Isaiah 43, 4 says Since you are precious in my sight and this is for someone I know, everyone that you know has left you, but the creator of heaven and earth Is telling you Since you are precious In my sight, oh, you are precious in my sight. Oh, you are precious, hallelujah. Precious is something else. Love is something else. Precious is something else. Precious is what you keep in that, in that locker. Precious is what you lock up and keep and take out multiple times in a day just to look at it. Hallelujah. And since you are honored and I love you, hallelujah, I will give men in your place and other people in exchange for your life, oh, beautiful. And in case you thought you've reached that road, which is the end, it's not. This is the time where he's, as I said, putting up other things in your place and other people. He's saying it to you this morning in exchange for your life, he's given you another lease, oh, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Your friend does not see you as precious. Your partner, your spouse, your son, your daughter, maybe your brother, sister, step sister or brother, step father or step mother, maybe your mother-in-law, maybe even your father-in-law, your boss, your colleague, the one you have been trying to impress for years. We've all had those, but I want to tell you this morning you are been trying to impress for years. We've all had those, but I want to tell you this morning, you are precious, precious to god and he honors you. Go read the meaning of the word honor. It will give you such a whole new dimension of what god is and how he looks at you.
Speaker 1:And I want to tell you I started with telling you this for someone and maybe all of you he loves you. Love is god's, love is unconditional and your life is not in anyone's hands, but your father's. Remember that. And he's already ransomed you. Don't worry about whatever it is that you're bothering, that's bothering you. Leave it. You will see the salvation of your father because it starts with saying now.
Speaker 1:Thus says the Lord now, hallelujah. Isaiah 43 5. Do not fear, I am with you. Amen, do not fear, I am with you. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. And thus says the Lord who makes a way In the sea and a path Through mighty waters, the same the Bible says he is the same. Yesterday, today and forevermore, he parted the Red Sea For the Israelites, even though they cursed him, even though they made same yesterday, today and forevermore. He parted the red sea for the Israelites, even though they cursed him, even though they made an object of gold to worship, he yet parted the red sea for them. You think he didn't know they were going to do that. Of course he knew who brings forth the chariot and the horse, the army and the mighty man. They will lie down together and rise again. They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick.
Speaker 1:I want to tell you, remember, I told you this battle does not belong to you. Stand firm, put on the armor of god and see his salvation. The creator of heaven and earth is telling you this morning, the same one who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters. He will bring everything down and put it at your feet. Hallelujah, and I prophesy and I decree through the word of God this beautiful morning, just for you and for anyone, anyone who has put Jesus at the helm, who has put Jesus at the steer of the boat in life, who has accepted Jesus as a savior. You are his and this is for you.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah From Isaiah 43, 18 and 19. Do not call to mind the former things or ponder things of the past. Amen, behold, I am doing something new. Now it shall spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Amen, hallelujah, amen, amen, hallelujah, amen.
Speaker 1:Relationships and a number of times, somebody put your heart into a blender and hit max Any aspect of life health situations, bank balances, friends, people around you. Wipe it all clear and make it a clean slate this beautiful morning, because your redeemer, the one who has paid the highest price ever and purchased you, is telling you this morning to not remember the things of old. Behold, he is doing a new thing. Amen, and now it will spring forth. Hallelujah, now it will spring forth. His word says Now it will spring forth. Hallelujah. Will you not be aware of it? Shall you not know when it happens? Oh, you will know when it happens. Will you not know who has made it happen? Oh, you will know who has made it happen. It is the Lord who has made it happen. It is Jesus who has made it happen and you will see it in this week.
Speaker 1:Amen, hallelujah, he is going to make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert for you. In case you didn't understand what it is. A wilderness is a place that has nothing, and he will make a road in that, in that space for you. And a desert is a place that the river and desert do not go with each other. And the creator of heaven and earth is telling you this morning he's going to make a river in the desert for you. Amen, enjoy this beautiful word, enjoy his promise.
Speaker 1:This is a prophecy for you this morning. And this is, as I said, just to exercise. Your faith is on you. This is just a warm up. This is just a warm-up. This is just a warm-up. You have no idea what God wants to do for you. You have no idea what he is waiting for you to do before he does it for you.
Speaker 1:Oh, hallelujah, this walk of faith is on you and I want to reassure you this morning through the word of God and tell you that now, now his word says, now, it will spring forth and you will see it happen. Will you not know it? Of course you will know it. It is your father, your creator, your redeemer, the one who has purchased you with a very heavy price, who has paid that price for you is telling you do not remember the things of old. Just clean that slate, forget everything, and there's new things that are happening. And remember to exercise your faith muscle, because without that he can't do much. If Peter didn't step out on the boat, he would have not walked on water, and if you don't exercise that faith, as I said, that's the meaning of 30, 60 and a hundredfold blessing. But that's a word for another day.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, I want to tell you this beautiful morning. Enjoy this week. Some of you are going to experience him in ways you have never experienced him. He's going to walk into your room. Amen For some of you. Hallelujah, remember not the former things and remember faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, I'd like to pray to you, lord. I thank you for your beautiful word, lord, I thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. Lord, I thank you for this beautiful prophecy that you've released in our midst, lord, from Isaiah 43, from the first till the fifth, and I thank you, lord, for that sacrifice you've made on that cross for us. Lord, you have redeemed us, purchased us and put us in a place that is higher than us, lord. You have redeemed us, purchased us and put us in a place that is higher than us, lord. I thank you, lord, for your beautiful promise that will spring forth now and we shall know it and we shall not remember the past or the former things, lord, and that you will make a way in the wilderness and a river in the desert. Thank you for your beautiful presence. Thank you, lord, for your beautiful countenance, your face that is going to shine upon people. Thank you, lord, for your beautiful angels that you've already set into motion.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, oh hallelujah. Thank you, lord, for the healings that are taking place. Oh, thank you, lord, for the bank balances that have changed. Oh, thank you, lord, for the hearts that you are changing. Thank you, lord. Right now, some new bonds are being formed for those ones who are lonely, and they will know that they're never alone, because you will never leave them Nor forsake us. You will never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you for your beautiful word. Thank you for your presence, lord. Thank you, lord, that people are going to experience you and hold you level in this week. Lord, thank you for watching over your word to perform it. Lord.
