SPEAKER_00:

Hallelujah. I want to tell you that uh today is an awesome day, and today is actually a prophetic word, and praise God for that. I want to start today with Abraham, and I want to tell you that his name was Abram before it was Abraham, and God uh asked him to leave his father's home, and he left his father's home, and you know, he followed God's instructions, and he had a uh Abraham had a very different relationship with God. You know, Abraham um there's a time uh mentioned in the Bible where God actually comes and sits and has a meal with him. So Abraham had a very different relationship with God, and he believed everything that God had told him. He did not even doubt it even once. And as it goes on, that Abraham, through his wife Sarah, had a son whose name was Isaac. And then it so happens that God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son, his only son, Isaac, that he bore after the age of 99. And Abraham was willing to sacrifice him. But that's not a story for today. Then Isaac had two sons, twins, Jacob and Esau. And Jacob was the elder of the two, and I'm sorry, Esau was the elder of the two, and Jacob was the younger. And Jacob steals Esau's birthright and father's blessing by deceiving Isaac. He made him believe that he was Esau, and Isaac released a blessing upon him, and that too is a story for another day. And then Jacob runs because his elder brother is angry with him and he wants to take his life. So Jacob runs, and then God makes a promise to Jacob. And then Jacob has a family of his own. And Jacob has twelve sons of his own, twelve children. And I'll come back to that also later. But today I want to share a story with you from the life of one of the sons of Jacob, whose name was Joseph. And I want to tell you that you know, God made a promise to Abraham, and Abraham lived it. God made a promise to Isaac, and Isaac lived it. God made a promise to Jacob, and he changed his name to Israel just to let you know, because he tells him, I will make you a nation. And I want to tell you that over the lineage from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob, they all saw one blessing bigger than the other. And in fact, the Bible, after this particular point, refers to Jacob as Israel because God named him Israel. Hallelujah. And Jacob now has 12 sons. And I told you I want to share with you one of the stories today from one of the sons whose name was Joseph. And Joseph was born to Jacob at an older age through his wife Rachel. Just to let you know, Jacob had uh four wives. And because uh you know Joseph was born to him at an old age, he was very fond of him, and the Bible says that Jacob loved Joseph, loved Joseph more than the other brothers or the other sons, and it even mentioned that he made him a very colored tunic, which is a multicolored tunic. So Jacob loved Joseph the most, he was the youngest from all his sons, and I said he had 12 sons, and the Bible says very clearly he loved him the most, and his brothers saw that their father loved him. This is, I'm quoting to you from the Bible. This story comes in the book of Genesis. It says his brothers saw that their father loved him more and they hated him, and they did not speak to him in friendly terms. So you see, eleven siblings don't like him because he's loved most by the father. And the Bible even says that they hated him and they did not speak to him in friendly terms. And then it so happens that one day in the book of Genesis, the 37th chapter, Joseph comes and tells his brothers about a dream that he has had. Now, some of you might know the story and some of you don't, but uh it's a beautiful story, and uh you'll get to know. So I'm reading to you from the word of God from uh Genesis the 37, chapter the sixth and sixth verse onwards. And he said to them, Listen to this, the dream which I have had. For behold, we are binding sheaves in the field, and lo, my sheaf, my sheaf rose up and also stood erect. And behold, your sheaves gather gathered around and bowed down to my sheaf. Then his brother said to him, Are you actually going to reign over us? Or are you really going to rule over us? So they hated him even more for his dream and for his words. And if that is not enough, Joseph has a second dream, and he tells his brothers about the second dream also. Where his second dream is the sun, the moon, and eleven stars are bowing down to him. And this does not make his situation any better with his brothers. And just to let you know, I said there were 12 brothers, so 11 stars means his 11 brothers, and the sun and the moon, just to let you know, is he also sees his mother and his father bowing down to him. So, anyway, as I said, it doesn't make his situation very good with his brothers. And there's this one time when his brothers have gone to a place called Sechim or Shechem or Shechem. And the Bible says very clearly that they're tending their father's flock there. And Jacob sends his son Joseph to have a look at them and report back to him. So he tells him basically, go there, check on them, and come back to me and report to me. And the Bible says that when his brothers see him coming from afar, they plot to kill him. Can you imagine that? Your own flesh and blood plotting to kill you because they hated him. And they say to each other, let's kill him and throw him in a pit. And we will tell everyone that a wild beast attacked him and devoured him. But at this time, Reuben, who's his elder brother, talks his brothers out of it, and they decide to actually take him and put him in a pit nearby. Now, Reuben is um the eldest brother, he's actually from the first wife that uh Jacob had. So he convinces his brothers to not kill Joseph. And what happens is they take Joseph, they strip him of his very colored robe or his tunic, and they throw him into the pit, into a pit that's there. And the Bible even says the pit does not have water, so he's just lying there. And they're sitting around the pit and eating, they're having their lunch or their meal. And it so happens that there's a tribe passing by the Bible says a tribe of Midianites who were traders, and the brothers start thinking amongst each other and they talk to each other, saying, Why do why should we kill him and leave him here? Why don't we make some money out of him? So they take him and they sell him to slavery, and they decide that they will take his tunic and kill a goat and dip it in that blood and go back and tell their father that he has been killed by a wild animal. So that's how the story pans out. And I want to tell you that Joseph goes into Egypt now that he's been sold. And as the story goes on, his brothers go back to his father and show him his very colored tunic dipped in blood, and his father goes into mourning. Now Joseph is in Egypt, and he's sold to a man whose name is Potiphar. And I want to tell you that Potiphar is the Pharaoh's officer. And the Bible says that the Lord was with Joseph. Hallelujah, amen. And he became a successful man. Genesis 39:3. Now his master saw that the Lord was with him, and how the Lord had caused all that he did to prosper in his hands. Hallelujah. Let me tell you something. I'm going back to the blessing that God released on Abraham. He released on Isaac and he released on Jacob. He never released a blessing on Joseph. But Genesis 39:3 says his master saw that the Lord was with him, and how the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hands. Hallelujah. And the Bible says Joseph found favor in his master Potiphar, and he made Joseph the head of everything in his house. He made him the overseer of his home and everything that he owned. Hallelujah. And the Bible says the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house on account of Joseph. And the Lord blessed everything that he owned in the house and in the field. Hallelujah. How beautiful is that! And the Bible even says that Joseph was good looking, and uh it says that Potiphar's wife desired Joseph and he refuses to sin against his master and God, and she makes allegations against him and goes and cooks up a story to Potiphar, and Potiphar gets angry and he takes Joseph and he puts him in the jail, into a prison. And the Bible says, even at the prison, the Lord was with him and extended kindness to him and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. I'm quoting to you from the word of God. And the chief jailer, believe it or not, committed everything that was under his charge to Joseph, which includes the entire prison, all the prisoners who were in the jail. Hallelujah. So basically, whatever was done in the jail and whatever was happening in the jail, Joseph was in charge of it. And in case you want to reiterate, Genesis 39, 23 says the chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph's charge because the Lord was with him, and whatever he did, the Lord made to prosper. Amen. Hallelujah. Whatever he did, the Lord made to prosper. So Joseph is there now. He was sold as a slave. He's abandoned, he's alone, he has no one, he prospers in Potiphar's home, and something comes against him, and he's thrown into a jail. And now he's in a jail and he's prospering in the jail because God's hand was upon him. And then the events go on that Pharaoh has a dream. And just for your reference, if you ever want to go and read it, it's in the jet, it's in the book of Genesis, the 41st chapter. And Pharaoh has a dream where seven sleek and fat cows come out of the Nile, and they're grazing in the marshlands, and then seven other cows come out after that from the Nile, ugly and gaunt. And they stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile, and the ugly and the gaunt cows ate up the seven sleek cows. That's a strange dream. But Pharaoh wakes up in the middle of his dream after he's seen all this, and then the Bible says he falls back into deep sleep. And then he dreams a second time. The seven ears of grain come up on a single stock, plump and good. And then seven years of grain come up on a stock which are thin and scorched, sprout after them, and the thin ones swallow up the plump ones. And Pharaoh awakes and now he's troubled. And he sends out news in the land, and he calls for his Egyptian Egyptian, uh, his magicians and his wise men of Egypt to interpret his dream, and no one can. And just to cut a very long story short, the pharaoh is told about this Hebrew youth in the jail who can interpret dreams because God's hand is upon him. Hallelujah. So the Pharaoh calls for Joseph. And Joseph tells the pharaoh that his dream is one and the same. The seven healthy cows and the seven years of good grain are seven years of prosperity, and the ugly cows and the scorched grain are seven years of famine. So behold, seven years of great abundance are coming, and after that, seven years of famine. And then in Genesis 41, 28, it is as I have spoken to Pharaoh, God has shown to Pharaoh what he is about to do. So you see, God is now put Joseph in front of the Pharaoh, and the Pharaoh has had a dream, and Joseph is the only one who can interpret the dream through the hand of God, and he tells him that seven years of prosperity are coming to Egypt, followed by seven years of famine. And that Egypt now is going to see good years followed by tough years. So Pharaoh looks at him and he says, What shall we do? Can we appoint someone smart enough to tell us what we should do at this at this time? And he looks at Joseph and he tells him, Since you know, and God's hand is upon you, why don't you decide what we should do? And Joseph tells him that we should take a fifth of all the grain that is produced right now at the time of prosperity and save it. And we will use this during the time of famine. And the Bible says, and I'm quote, and I quote, and I'm reading to you from the book of Genesis 41, 39 onwards. So Pharaoh said to Joseph, Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you, you shall be over my house, and according to your command, all my people shall do homage. Only in the throne I will be greater than you. Oh hallelujah. Hallelujah. So basically, now the Pharaoh has told Joseph that everyone's gonna listen to you, and everyone's gonna do exactly as you tell them to do. And only in the matter of the throne I am greater than you. Hallelujah. And as it happened, Egypt has seven years of prosperity followed by seven years of famine. And as Joseph had planned, he was in charge, and every city had made granaries, and they stored a fifth of their produce of all grain in every city in Egypt. And let me tell you what the Bible says, and this is believable, but it's so good. Every nation on earth, the Bible says, I'm saying it to you again, every nation on earth came to Egypt to buy grain during the famine, and Egypt became the richest nation on the planet because everyone came to Egypt to buy grain because there was a famine that no one could manage. Hallelujah! Hallelujah. And let me tell you how this all pans out. Joseph's brothers come into Egypt to buy grain to get through the famine. And as I said, Joseph was in charge of it all, and he overseed all the grain and the produce that was being sold to other nations, and he was standing right there as his brothers came to buy grain from Egypt. And the Bible says his brothers bowed down to him with their faces on the ground. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I've spent all this time telling you about a story of a man by the name of Joseph from the Word of God today. But I want to tell you, and he just in case you thought that Joseph took the opportunity and took the upper hand on his brothers. No, he had the Spirit of God in him. So he fills them with grain. He does not even take their money. And he sends them back home as a blessing. But today I want to tell you that we've all had accusers in our life at some time. If you've not, that's fabulous. I want to tell you, we all have had some people who do not like us, whether it be in our families or outside. We have all had times in our life where we've been beat up and put down. We've all had times when we've been betrayed by loved ones, sold out by people at work, thrown under the bus. Maybe some of you have even been left all alone, just as Joseph. Maybe falsely accused and put down, maybe blamed for something you didn't do. Maybe even called names many years ago that you still hear gonging in your head. Some of you can feel the presence of God, and that's because he wants to reassure you today through the word of God, through his word, just as he did for Joseph, he will do for you. The Bible says in Psalm 3.3, but you, O Lord, hallelujah, hallelujah. Psalm 3.3 says, But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head. Amen. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you again this morning, just as he did for Joseph, I want to reassure you through the word of God that he will do for you. He's not a respecter of people. He just, as his word says, watches over his word to perform it. Hallelujah. Today I'm here to release a blessing upon you. Just as is in the word of God. And I want to tell you, in case you didn't know, that you are a descendant of Abraham. And God released his blessing upon Abraham, He released His blessing upon Isaac, He released His blessing upon Jacob. And they all came to life. And from the entire lineage of Jacob, I just want to tell you that there was one son, Joseph, who lived God's blessing. Hallelujah. And today I want to release this beautiful scripture into your lives and believe it. As it was released to Abraham, you will experience it. I'm reading to you from the book of Genesis, the 12th chapter, the second verse. The Lord is saying to you this morning. And I will make your name great. So you shall be a blessing. Hallelujah. Amen. And I will bless those who bless you. And the one who curses you. I will curse. And in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And just as God had also released to Jacob, the father of Joseph. From the Genesis, from Genesis the 35th verse, I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come from you. Amen. And the kings and kings shall come forth from you. The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give to you. And I will give the land to the descendants after you. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I want to tell you. God is a debtor to no man. The Bible says the earth is his footstool. And he's a debtor to no man. He's not a respecter of men. What he did for Joseph, he will do for you. And I want to tell you this, there's only one mention that Joseph does throughout his entire story. Whatever part of life he is in, he just gives glory to God. Whatever happens to him says, as God, it happens. Whatever vision he gets, he says, as God has shown to me, whatever dream he has to interpret, he says, as God has let me know, he gives glory to God at all times. And just as Psalm, I'm sorry, Psalm 33 says, But you, O Lord, are a shield, the glory, and the lift of my head. Oh, hallelujah. Just as he lifted Joseph's head in front of the family that sold him to slavery and was willing to kill him, he will do for you in front of the earth. Hallelujah. And the earth will be blessed by you. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray, dear Lord, and thank you for this beautiful word. Thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for watching over your word to perform it. I thank you, Lord, that is yours, the silver is yours, a cattle on a thousand hill. And you're indebted to no man and has aligned to your word today and released. You will make your people a blessing. Kings will come forth from them, nations will become out of them. Just as you blessed Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You've released your beautiful blessing upon us today. That we will live and breathe it and see it come to life as Joseph did on our life on this planet. Thank you for your beautiful presence. Thank you for your beautiful, beautiful love that you've showered upon us, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that you are a redeemer and the lifter of our head. What has disgraced us, you shall crush what has come against us. You have already nullified. What has raised, what has been raised against us, you have raised a standard against it. Thank you for being faithful, Lord, though we remain faithless, and thank you for showering your love upon us. Thank you for this beautiful time, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
