“Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
If this message resonates with you, share it with someone who needs God's love today.
That God loves you. And I believe somebody needs to hear that this morning. God loves you, and don't be mistaken or unsure about this fact. That God loves you. In fact, I want to assure you this morning through the word of God that He loves you. And I've said it before, I'll say it again. You know, human love is very conditional. But God's love for you and He's unconditional love. You know, people will have clauses and reasons to reasons to love you. But God's love for you and me is unconditional. Remember that this beautiful morning. And all of us know the scripture, which is John 3.16, and it says, For God so loved the world. The world includes people like the world includes you and me. And the scripture says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish and have eternal life. And it starts with God so loved the world. And I think John 3.16 is a scripture that's known by everyone. And I just want to say that somebody needs to hear this this morning that God loves you. Because life can have its challenges, it can have its uh have its ups and downs. And it's very easy to lose sight of that fact that God loves you. But I'm here to assure you this morning that God loves you through the word of God. And I want to tell you that he sent down his son, and and you know, most of us at some point of time in our life on this planet have experienced love for another person, for a family member, maybe a third person. The different types of loves. But I will tell you that we've all experienced love. And this is a very different kind of love if somebody has decided to come down and get on a cross to die, a painful death for you and me. And that's a very different kind of love. And you'll say, Yes, I am willing to do that for someone. Well, that's that's on you. But I want to tell you that Jesus came down on this planet because the Bible says God so loved the world that he sent his son and he came down on his planet, he came down to his own creation, to his earth, to become a sacrifice for you and me and give up his life on a cross. And it what it was not just any easy death, it was a difficult, painful death that he decided to take up for you and me, and it doesn't get any deeper than that. It does not get any deeper than that, it does not get any more unconditional than that. He did not know you, maybe you don't know him, but yet he came down on this planet to die on a cross for you. And the day that you put your faith in Jesus, it aligns you to his kingdom. Hallelujah. It's a spiritual thing, don't try to understand it or put your worldly wisdom to it. It's just the way God has made it. As I said, most of us are on this planet, and most of us have experienced love, and we understand love as an emotion. And you know, most of you, that love comes with care and protection. If I ask you to take a few seconds and picture that person you love on this planet, you will understand what's the meaning of care and protection. Because it's associated with that person that you love. And this morning, I want to share an example with you of care and protection in the world that we live in. Maybe it'll be more relatable to you. And for those of you who know, some of you don't, I studied zoology. So my love for the animal kingdom is really uh, I just love it, I find it intriguing. And I want to share an example with you today from the animal kingdom, and uh they're God's creation, of course. And I want to tell you from an example today of something called the Emperor Penguin. For those of you who know it, it's a black and white penguin with a slight yellow tinge on its breast, a black and white beak. And let me tell you that the Emperor Penguin takes care of its unhatched egg. Some of you know it, some of you don't, but I'm gonna share that story with you this beautiful morning. So I'll tell you how it goes. The female penguin lays the egg, and then she goes out to sea to feed because she's tired and it's harsh conditions. And in that period, she leaves the egg with the male penguin. And you must understand that I'm talking about a place on the planet where penguins live, very harsh conditions, they have recorded temperatures of minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and they have winds up to 200 kilometers an hour. I think that's the harshest possible, and very few creatures can even survive in that kind of condition. And the male penguin, let me tell you, I'm not going to get into the details because it's a bit technical, but basically, what the male penguin does, he takes the egg and he puts it on top of his feet and he stands on it. And there's something called as a pouch, which he covers it with, and he incubates the egg with his own body temperature, protecting it from this hostile environment. In fact, he even keeps it off the freezing ground, otherwise, the egg will freeze. And as I said, 200 kilometers an hour winds and minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures and gets more hostile because the winds get even more stronger and they lash against the penguin. In fact, the penguins, you know what they do is actually they turn their back towards the direction of the wind and they take the lashes on their back. And that's how they protect the egg. And why am I giving you this example today? I won't tell you that God made the Emperor Penguin, it's one of his creations, and it's a reminder of all of us today that these actions of care and protection, which is an animal, I can assure you that an animal has lesser intelligence than a human being, has come from somewhere. How can a male penguin stand there? By the way, it most gestation periods or incubation periods for the egg is between 65 to 75 days. The emperor penguin just stands there with the egg in between his legs, he does not move, he takes on the weathers and the storm, he does not even eat just to ensure that egg is hatched. And you'll say, where did that come from? From an animal with let's call it lesser intelligence than a human being. How can care and protection be seen in an animal? Of course, it can be seen because of its creator. And I want to tell you that, as I said, the egg and emperor penguin, and I'm just going to refer to them as a penguin now on, is they stand with the egg on their feet, keeping the egg off the ground and save it from the hostile temperatures while it's still an egg. The child has not even come out. You don't even know what's happening in the egg. And this beautiful morning, I want to tell you if I want to relate that situation to our situation, because of course that's what it needs to be at the end of the day. When you and I were at that stage, I want to give you a passage of scripture from the word of God on what God has done in a stage which is similar to the penguin and his egg. And I'm reading to you from Psalm 139.13. Psalm 139.13 says, For you formed my inward paths. Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. I'm gonna read it again. It's so powerful, it's so deep. For you formed my inward path. Do you know what that means? Inward parts means every part of your body has been formed, your insides have been formed by him. Don't be mistaken of what this passage of scripture means. You covered me in my mother's womb. Oh, hallelujah! Now I will praise you, beautiful father, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works, and my soul knows very well. And then it goes on to say, My frame was not hidden from you, and I was made in secret and skillfully formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes have seen my formless substance, and in your book are written the days that were ordained for me when there was not even one yet. Oh beautiful. You see the penguin and its egg, you see your unformed self in your mother's womb. God has made you. For your marking again, it starts from 14 onwards. In fact, I read from 13 onwards, and it goes on till 16. It's in the word of God. He has covered you in your mother's womb. The pengurick, the penguin covers the egg, and your father has covered you in your mother's womb. Because even before the day you stepped out on this planet, your days have already been written in the book. Hallelujah. He has protected you. It cannot get any more beautiful than this. Praise him for his marvelous ways because your soul knows him. You might not know him intellectually, you might not know him in your mind, but your soul knows him because he has made you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you that, you know, as I said, I'm coming back to the penguin. You know, when the conditions get harsh, the penguins, the male penguins, gather together. And as I said, they turn their back. It's not necessary, sometimes they're all together, they turn their back towards the direction of the storm. The wind. 200 kilometers per hour as a wind on minus 50 degrees is a lot. But the penguin has only one goal. I'm going to protect this egg at all costs. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you that storm that I'm talking about are the storms of life for you and me. And I want to tell you, you know, this passage of scripture I've shared before, and I share it again. We you remember this passage of scripture, I hope you do, because it's an important one. We battle not with flesh and blood, but instead we battle with principalities and powers and dominions of the darkness. It tells you enough that you and I are not fighting a battle on this planet that's flesh and blood. It's a spiritual battle. And just as the penguin weathers those storms as a father, I want to tell you what your father does for you and me when the storms of life come. And don't be mistaken about it because in our life on this planet we have ups and downs. Jesus had ups and downs. You think you and I won't? We will. The storms of life are some things that happen in our life on this planet. And when the flood comes, no matter what source, I'm here to tell you that the Lord will raise a standard against that. And remember, the storms of life can be in any form. It can be a financial problem, it can be related to a health matter, it can be a uh something that's been with you for years, it can be it can be mental health, it can be personal equilibrium, it can be a feeling of loneliness, it can be, well, this goal at work is too large, this personal goal is too large. I don't know how I'm going to be able to scale this mountain. The challenges of being alone, whatever the challenge might be. But when that storm comes, and when the enemy comes like a flood, the Lord will raise up a standard, hallelujah, against him. The Bible says, against him. Oh, hallelujah. Let me tell you, when God brought his people out of Egypt, and you know, the Pharaoh and the Egyptian armies followed them to finish them off, to kill them. I want to tell you that the Bible says the Lord had a pillow of cloud. And at the time when the Egyptian armies caught up with the Israelites, the pillow of cloud and an angel from the front of the Israelites went to the back of the Israelites and became like a wall in front of the Egyptians and the Israelites. And let me tell you something: one side of that pillow was causing darkness to the Egyptians and the Egyptian army, and the other side of the pillow was a light for the Israelites. Can you even fathom that? Hallelujah. It gave light to the Egyptians on one side, uh, to the Israelites on one side, and to the Egyptians, it was a dark cloud on the other side. Through the entire night, the two were kept apart by that standard, if you ask me, that's what it is. Hallelujah. And if that was not enough, after that he parted the Red Sea. And the his people walked through that on dry ground. Hallelujah. That's the meaning of God raising a standard for you and me. And as I said, don't put your worldly wisdom to it. The Bible says his ways are above our ways, his ways are not our ways, his wisdom is not our wisdom. Our wisdom is foolishness in the sight of God. And that God, if you can only understand and imagine that that same pillar was darkness to one side and light to the other side, is unbelievable to fathom. But that's your creator, your father, the same one who gave the penguin care and how to protect. Hallelujah. And there are times when you feel that the water is above you, like the situation has gone out of your control. I believe there are some of you that are feeling that this very moment. And this is what happens. I want to tell you that the world has tried their level best to keep you away from your father. Let me tell you, if that egg is not with the father, it won't survive. It will not survive, it will not survive a day. Forget 65 days. It won't survive a single day if it's not with the father. And I want to tell you that the world, that guy who comes as a flood, he has tried his level best to ensure that you are not connected to God. But this is for some of you this morning, and I know that there are times on this planet when things you feel are above you. Or you feel, I don't know what to do in the situation. I'm blank. And that happens because we're human. And I want to tell you that at times like that, it's times when you call out to your father. It's times like that when you need to call out to your father. If you think you've hit a dead end and you have nowhere to go, I want to give you a glimpse of what happens in the background and the spirituals, which you and I don't get to see. Hallelujah. And I'm sharing with you from this beautiful psalm of King David, from Psalm 18. Just sit back and soak this in while I read it out to you, and then you can make your notes and mark it down and meditate on it in your own time. Psalm 18, 6 onwards In my distress I called upon the Rod and cried out to my God. He heard my voice from his temple, and my cry came before him, even to his ears. And the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of the heavens also quaked and were shaken because he was angry. Hallelujah. Smoke went up from his nostrils and devouring the fire from his mouth. He bowed the heavens also and came down with darkness under his feet. Don't even once think that he cannot hear you. Don't be under that misconception. I want to tell you that when you call out to the Lord, he can hear you, and that's what the scripture says. Your cry will go before him, it will go to his ears. Hallelujah. And then the earth will shake and tremble, and you will say, It's not possible he will do that for me. It's not possible. The Bible says he will leave the 99 and go after the one. Why is it not possible? It is absolutely possible. And the word of God says it, and the psalm of David, King David, he knew it because God says he was a man of my own heart. If God called him that, he clearly knew something about God. And he, this is a psalm from King David, who says, When I called out to you in my time of distress, it says, In my time of distress, you heard my voice and you were angry. The earth shook and trembled, and the foundations of the earth were shaken. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He got angry and smoked. Went up from his nostrils and devoured from his mouth. Hallelujah. This is what happens in the spiritual people. And then it says he bowed the heavens and came down. Hallelujah. He doesn't. He will do it. He did it for King David. He will do it for you. But you have to call out. From those who hated me. They were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity. But the Lord was my support. Hallelujah. He also brought me out into a broad place. Amen. He delivered me because he delighted in me. Hallelujah. There's nothing more that I can add to this beautiful Psalm. It's Psalm 18. You should mark it down and you should read it in your own time and meditate on it. But I want to tell you this beautiful morning that when you call out to him, he will deliver you from your situation. He will come down from the heavens. This is a glimpse of what happens in the spirituals when you call out to your father. He will take control of the situation, situations that you cannot see or understand. He will bring you into a broad place. Some of you are gonna have you're gonna have you're gonna see this happen this week. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you the only reason why I had this beautiful example of the penguin to share with you is because, as I said, without the father, the egg cannot survive. And God knows that you need him. And without you asking it, he will give you his care and protection. And if ever there is a time where you feel that it's not there, because believe me, it's there. It's just that some situations are higher on a scale than others. And when you call out to him, I want to tell you that he will answer you. The Bible says, I will never leave you nor forsake you. That means when you call out to him, the Bible even says, I will answer. Call to me and I will answer you. You'll say, I can't hear him. Hallelujah. David didn't hear him, but he was given a vision and he knew how God operates, and he documented it for you and me in the Bible. And yes, there are times on this planet which are difficult, there are times on this planet which are tough. But I want to tell you, just as that penguin, your father will never leave you nor forsake you. Your father came down on this planet and he took lashes on his back for you and me. He died on a cross for you and me. He took a thorn, a crown of thorns on his head for you and me. He took an excruciating, excruciatingly painful death on a cross for you and me. And that same father who has made you from your mother's womb, he has covered you, he has made your inward paths, he knows you. That father will protect you. That father will come down from heaven when you call unto him. He will raise up a standard against anyone who comes against you. He will protect you. He will not let anything come near you. Hallelujah. It's a beautiful day. Make a decision to turn to your father. There are things that you cannot see happening because the Bible says his mercy is on you every morning. That's exactly what it means. You don't know the schemes of the evil guy. And they just get deflected because you don't even know them. They probably don't even come your way. And there are a few that come your way. And in those, just remember to be strong in the Lord and not in anything else. Don't be problem-focused, be God focused. And I believe that's the reason why David was King David, he was just a shepherd boy. But he wrote the psalm and it says, Lord, when I called on to you, in my time of distress, distress is a deep word. Distress is a deep word. And you answered me, O Lord. My cry came to your ears. It came before you, and into your ears is what the passage of scripture says, which means God can see your problem. The Bible says his wall, your walls are continually before him, which means he knows everything that's happening with you. Do not be mistaken. And then he will raise a standard against him. He will raise up a standard for you. He will be your protection. Hallelujah. Just take this time every morning if you can and go and reach out to your father. Because without your father, you are nothing. Without your father, you won't be able to make it on this planet. Because it's a spiritual battle, it's not a physical battle. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for this day, Lord. I thank you for this beautiful day where we know that since our mother's womb you have covered us. Lord, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and we thank you for that. I thank you, Lord, that you love us. I thank you that our walls are continually before you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, that when we call unto you, your word says, You hear us. A voice comes into your ears. I thank you, Lord, that your word says, when we call, you will answer. You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord. And I thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time where people can feel your presence. Thank you for I thank you, Lord, that you have forged us in the depths, made us fearfully and wonderfully and marvelously. I thank you, Lord, that you are in control of everything. Though we've been forged in secret, Lord, you know us. And our soul knows you, Lord. Thank you for this beautiful day, Lord. Because your word says you will leave the 99 and go after that one. And as people are turning their hearts towards you, Lord, I thank you that you are showing them who you are, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. And as we leave, Lord, I'd like to claim this beautiful protection upon each and everyone who turns to you, who calls unto you. Hallelujah. As your word says, because you have made the Lord your refuge, even the Most High your dwelling place. No evil shall before you befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. Amen. For he will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, and in the hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. Hallelujah. Thousand may fall at your right, and ten thousand. But it shall not come near you. You will only see it. And it will not come near your dwelling. Thank you, Lord, because you are a shield and a buckler, and under your wings we seek refuge. This beautiful day, Lord, I thank you for your beautiful protection around us. I thank you for your love that surrounds us. I thank you for your hedge of protection that's around us, our dwelling, and everything that's us. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
