Last week we got to know about God's love for us, God's love for you and me. And for those of you who missed it, let me tell you that God loves you. And don't be mistaken about it. And under his wing, under his wings, you will take refuge. He will care for you and he will protect you. Hallelujah. There is love, care, and protection for each one of you, including me from our Father in heaven. And all you need to do is call onto him and be assured that when you call to him, he will answer you. And today I want to go straight into a time when Jesus is on this planet and uh you know he's uh he's teaching a multitude, he's teaching his disciples, and he shares this example, or rather, he shares a story, and some of you know it, and some of you might not, and he shares a story about uh a wise man and a foolish man. And before I uh go into sharing this example, I want to tell you that uh Jesus talks about uh many many aspects of life uh before that. He's basically teaching the crowds and his disciples about the kingdom of heaven, and then he goes on to share the story of the wise man and the foolish man, and then he tells them that those who act on what he has said or what he has taught, he says that person becomes like the wise man, and the wise man is the one who builds his house on the rock, and then he tells the crowds that the rain rain came and the floods came and the winds blew and they beat on the house. But the house that the wise man built, that was the one that was built on the rock, stood firm and it did not fall. Hallelujah. And then he goes on to talk about a foolish man, he's saying, Someone who hears these words that I have spoken and who does not act on them, and that person will be like a house built on the sand, and then he goes on to say that the rains came, the floods came, the winds blew, and he says it slammed against the house and it fell, and great was its fall. Wow, that doesn't sound very nice, but that's the example that Jesus shared with the crowds, Jesus shared with his disciples, and that's the base that I want to share with you today is the wise man and the foolish man, and the wise man built his house upon the rock, and the foolish man built his house on the sand, and then it goes on to say that the winds came, the floods came, the rain came, and in both the instances it beat against the house, and the one that was built upon the rock stood firm, and the one that was built on sand crashed and fell, and he didn't miss on saying that great was its fall, and that's scary. But hey, Jesus shared this reason, uh shared this uh story for a reason, and I want to tell you this beautiful morning that I don't know which version of the Bible you read, but I will tell you this. When Jesus was talking, he never said that it was built on a rock. Hallelujah. He said the house of the wise man was built on the rock, not a rock. And you can check any version of the Bible that you read because a rock is basically talking about a foundation. But when you use the word the, it leads to specifics. And I want to tell you that when he says the wise man built his house on the rock, I want to tell you the this beautiful morning that the rock is Jesus. Hallelujah. And the wise man, he's saying, built his house on the rock, and the foolish man he says builds his house on the sand, and Jesus is the rock. And I want to tell you this morning that you have to build your house on Jesus. Hallelujah. And I'll tell you what it means for the foolish man who builds it on the sand, and I will give it to you from the word of God. But before I get into it, I want to tell you this beautiful morning. Put your faith in Jesus, build your house on his name. And let me tell you, the rains, the floods, the winds, the storm, all of that refers to the storms of life that Jesus was talking about. Jesus always spoke in parables. And in this story that he's sharing, he's referring to the rains, the storm, the winds that will come and lash against your home, which is life, which happens. Any one of you, I maybe I don't know each of you personally, but every one of you knows that when you look back in time, you will have trials that you can think of. And that's life. But if you build your house on the rock, if you build your house on Jesus, you will be firm. If you build it on the sand, you will crash and great will be that fall. And that's not a nice story. So this beautiful morning, I want to ask, and I'm sure you might be asking this question to yourself how do you build your house on Jesus? How will I build my house on Jesus? How do I do that? Jesus said, build your house on the rock. But how do I do that? And I want to tell you that I'll give you a perspective this beautiful morning through the Word of God, and I'll give you the answer for it as well. But I want to tell you before I get into it, when he's talking about the sand, he's talking about the things of the world. And it's very easy to shift your focus from faith onto other things like people, like titles, like positions, like educational backgrounds and experience, and you know, so many other things that the world has to offer. But that's exactly what Jesus was talking about that if you choose that, that's the sand. And when the storms of life come, and when they beat against your home, please understand he's referring to the house of a wise man, he's referring to the house of a foolish man, that's your home. Which side you belong to depends on your choice. And I'm not going to mince words because Jesus didn't mince his words. And then it comes down to whether your house will stand firm or it will have a great fall. And I'm going to share with you from the beautiful book written by King David, and it's a beautiful psalm. And I'm going to share with you from a time when King David was on his planet, and I'll tell you those were very different times. We come from a time where we get up in the morning, we have our chores. I mean, 90% of the world at least, they rush to work, you spend your whole day, you know, achieving your goals and your tasks, reporting to someone, and you come back home and you have your meal, you watch some television, maybe, you follow some series, and it's your day, and then you go on to the next day. But I'm taking to a time when King David was just a shepherd and he became a king, and you have to understand that these were very different times, and these were times of swords and battles and territories being kept or territories being lost. We are alive today, challenged by another king tomorrow, and maybe you might not even be there. Those times. So clearly, David knew something, and which is why the Psalms are beautiful. If you ever want to understand the deep relationship that David had with God, read some of the Psalms and you'll know it. And I'm reading to you from Psalms 20, the seventh verse, the 20th chapter, the seventh verse. And put in the words of David, King David, some trust in chariots, and some trust in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the Lord our God. Amen. Hallelujah. Some praise their chariots and some their horses, but we will praise the name of our God. Hallelujah. And as I said, in times which were very different from ours, not just getting up and going to work and coming back, in times where everything depended on what you did as a king, that king, the most successful king in the history of Israel, said that some trust in their chariots and their horses, some trust in the numbers that they have, some trust in the quantities they have, some trust in their bank balances, some trust on their doctors, some trust in their relatives, their uncles and aunts and family members. But King David trusted in the name of the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Clearly, something there. And that's just as I said, it's the foundation. I'll give you the foundation and then I'll answer your question as well through the word of God. And I'm giving you the answer this beautiful morning from Jeremiah 17, 7. Jeremiah 17, 7 says, Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is in the Lord. Hallelujah. And here's your answer to your question: How do I build my house on Jesus? I'll tell you, put your faith and trust in his name. Put your faith and trust in him. Don't have foundation. Don't have your foundation built on anything else. No one else, nothing else, no title, no team member, no boss, no relative, but Jesus only. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. Hallelujah. And then it's not just all. The scripture actually says it all after that. If you put your trust in God, you will be blessed. If you put your hope in the Lord, you will be blessed. Anyone who leaves everything at the feet of Jesus will be blessed. Those who trust the plan He has for you will be blessed. Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord. And then some of you might have a second question: what happens when I build my house on Jesus? What will happen? Are you trying to tell me that I won't have trials in my life? When Jesus came on this planet, let me tell you, he was hung on a cross. So I can't tell you you won't have trials in your life. That's between that's God's plan for you. It's not me or what I can say. But I'll tell you what happens when you build your house on Jesus. What's in it for me? A lot of people might ask, what's in it for me? I think I'm doing pretty well in life. I put my trust in my family, my degrees, my experience, the people I have, my boss. I'm doing pretty well. So what's in it for me? I will tell you. The answer is right there in Jeremiah 17, the next verse onwards. And it says, For he will be. That means somebody who puts the who puts their trust in the Lord, he will be, she will be, like a tree planted by the water. Amen. But spreads out its roots by the river. And listen to this beautiful passage of scripture: a revelation given to the wonderful prophet Jeremiah. And he documented it when God gave it to him, who will spread out its roots by the river, and you will not fear when he comes, but its leaf will be green, and you will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. What a beautiful passage of scripture. Jeremiah 17:8. And for those of you who trust in the Lord, those of you who put your faith in the Lord, those of you who put your faith in the name of Jesus, it says, then you will be planted by the waters. You will be like a tree that's planted by the waters. Hallelujah. And then you will be a tree that spread its roots by the river. And I'll tell you what it means. That means that you will always be watered. And then your tree will not fear when the heat comes. And I'll tell you what the meaning of heat. Heat is the storms of life. So no matter what heat comes, you will not fear. And your leaf, the Bible says the tree's leaf will remain green. Hallelujah. Do you know every tree on this planet goes through the seasons that God has set for them? Every tree, and if you have a tree in your house or you have it in front of your the place you stay, look at it. There's autumn, spring, summer. And some others have you know monsoon winters, depends uh on which part of the globe you're you're living in. But every tree will follow a season, but this tree, this tree, you who have put your faith in Jesus will have an evergreen leaf. Hallelujah. Your leaves will be evergreen, the Bible says, and you will always be watered. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And even when there is a drought, you will not be anxious. Amen. And you will always, always yield fruit. Amen. What a beautiful passage of scripture. No matter what you're surrounding, no matter what's happening around you, you will always bear fruit. Amen. Amen. And let me just tell you something. You know, most people don't even know this. And I'll tell this to you. I'll tell you, let me tell you about what Prophet Jeremiah is referring to as this river. What is he talking about when he's talking about the waters? You can read it in your own time, it's in Revelation 22. When John is on the island of Patmos, God shows him a river. And I'll read it to you, and you can mark it down and read it in your time. Revelation 22, 1 says, And he showed me a pure river of water of life. Amen. Clear as crystal proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Amen. Hallelujah. Let me tell you, the book of Revelation is one of the most powerful books. It's one of the most beautiful revelations given to anyone about heaven. And that's why it's called the Book of Revelation. But I want to tell you that when you read, um, I mean, Revelation is quite a deep book, but if you choose to read it, can you imagine that Revelation, the book, shows this passage of scripture only in the last chapter? And it's a secret that God showed John a pure river of water, of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God. And now I'm going back to Jeremiah 17:8. For you will be like a tree planted by the water. Which water? The water that comes from the throne of God and the Lamb. Hallelujah. And then who extends its root by the river? Hallelujah. It's a river, it's the same thing. And does not fear when the heat comes. The leaves will always be green. I'll tell you why the leaves will always be green. Because the river is pure, it comes from the throne of God. Hallelujah. A pure river of water, of life. You see, that's the reason why you will not go through any seasons in life. Of course, you'll have ups and downs. Of course, you'll have people who come and throw stones at your tree. Probably some people who live and try to cut it down for the fruit that it's bearing. Because the Bible says, because you are attached to my river, my river that I'm talking to you about, and I showed only one person in the Bible. That beautiful river, that revelation, because you put your faith in me, you will be planted by that river. Hallelujah. And somebody needs to hear this this beautiful morning, so I'm here to share it. It's from the book of wisdom, it's from the book of Proverbs, which says, the blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. Hallelujah. Amen. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and he adds no sorrow to it. It's Proverbs 10, 22. Hallelujah. I had a very short word this morning, and I want to tell you that when you put your faith in him, when you put your trust in him, he will bless you. He will make you rich. He will add no sorrow to your blessing. I want to tell you this morning, just leave everything at his feet. This morning, this day, whatever timeline you're listening to, this. Whatever it might be, whatever your situation, whatever part of life, whatever aspect of life is coming in front of you as a mountain, some of you have this one of you everything at the feet of Jesus and I don't even know him. You know, I've only heard of him a few times. Some of my friends have told me about him. Once or twice I heard it somewhere, I heard of his name somewhere. Does he know me? I want to tell you this morning, yes, he does know you. He knows every little detail about you. And he says, Behold, I stand at the door and I knock. And anyone, anyone, anyone, he did not write down names of peoples, he did not write down their caste, he did not write down their creed or their background or their nationality or their height, their weight. He said, Anyone who opens that door, I will enter and I will dine with them, I will sup with them, and I will be with them. Anyone who opens, behold, I stand at the door and knock. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning because some of you are asking that question. Does he know me? I've only heard about him once. Can I call onto him? I'm from another religion. Will if I call unto him, will he listen to me? I told you in the words of Jesus, the wise man builds his house on the rock, the foolish man builds his house on the sand. Call unto me and I will answer you. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Anyone who opens, I will enter and I will dine with him. That's your answer through the word of God, not my words, through the words of Jesus. So this beautiful morning, I won't tell you, yes, he knows you. And he's waiting at the door. And if you decide to open that door, he becomes your rock. And then you can put your trust in him, you can turn to him, you can leave everything at his feet. And don't by any chance think that he doesn't know you. He knows you, he's just waiting for you to turn and call unto him. He even gave an example of the shepherd that leaves 99 and goes after the one. The one, you are the one. But there's no ceremony, like most other people will tell you that you need to do for so many other things in life. There's no ceremony, there's nothing. And in fact, today I'm gonna leave you with a beautiful, beautiful little request that you can make to God and do it in your own time. Do it right now if you like. You can repeat after me. Uh, you can shut your door and you can listen to this, hear it again, and then go back and repeat it, or you can repeat it right now, and it will change your life. Hallelujah! Hallelujah. I pray, dear Lord Jesus. You can repeat, dear Lord Jesus. I believe that you are the Son of God. I believe that you died on a cross for me. I believe that you rose from the grave on the third day. I believe that you are seated at the right hand of God today. I also believe that you are the Son of God. Thank you, Lord. Jesus, you come into my life, you be my shepherd, you be my guide, be my savior, be my rock, and I will leave everything at your feet today. Take complete control, O Jesus. Jesus' name I pray, amen. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time, Lord. I thank you for your presence. I thank you for people who have opened that door unto you, Lord. I thank you for hearts that are turning towards you. And I thank you, Lord, as your word says, when they open the door, Lord, you will enter, you will dine with them, you will sup with them, you will be with them. And they will be called your children, they will have the right to be called your children, they will be attached to your lineage through what you have done on that cross, Lord. Thank you, Lord. I thank you for what you did on that cross for us. You gave up your life, you are obedient to death and death on a cross, which is a curse only for us, that anyone who calls unto your name will be saved. Anyone who calls unto your name will be saved. And this beautiful day, there are people, Lord, who are calling unto your name, and I thank you that you are saving them. Your word says, You are the Lord of the harvest. We leave the harvest into your hands, Lord. Anyone who calls unto you, you will answer. Show them great and mighty things you know not of. What a beautiful day, what a beautiful time. Thank you for your beautiful presence. Thank you for your word. Thank you, Lord, that we leave everything at your feet. As King David said, take us to the rock that is higher than us. Take all our situations at your feet, Lord, and you take complete control. Thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you for hearts that are changing. I thank you for your word that says you will leave the 99 and the pen and go after the one. And there are so many, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. Thank you for everything that you are doing right now in the spirituals. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
