What is Easter, really?

Step into that morning—when the world still carried the weight of loss, and hope felt buried. His followers walked toward the tomb, expecting to find what was left behind.

But the stone was rolled away.
The grave was empty.
Jesus was not there.
He had risen.

And His first word after resurrection? Rejoice.

Not after everything is fixed.
Not when life feels easy.
But now—in this very moment.

Whatever you’re carrying today—uncertainty, heaviness, unanswered questions & prayers—this is your invitation to pause and remember what His Word says.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

- ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Resurrection Day Greeting

SPEAKER_00

Today is a beautiful day, and I want to start with wishing each and every one of you a happy resurrection day. Hallelujah. It's a day there that's known across the world, whether you know Jesus or not. Call us Easter Sunday and celebrate it because, as I said, already known across the world where Jesus rose from the dead. And you know it's a time of celebration, it's a time of victory, it's a time of new beginnings. For those of you who know Jesus. And I want to uh get straight into the word of God this morning. And I have I have a short word today, but I want to, as I said, get straight into it and transport each and every one of you many years ago back in time. And for those of you who have an imagination, let yourself be transported through this journey that I'm taking you through this morning. And as I said, I want to transport you to Jerusalem. These next few events unfold. And as I said, those of you who have an imagination go for it. And it's a pleasant day. It's a time where the rain has just gotten done, so the mornings are nice and cool. So the sun is out. And it's a Sunday morning. And you're walking down the road, a semi-made road. Not the roads that we know, which are concrete or tar. It's a semi-made road. It's it's not fully done. It's just a pathway. It's got red mud. And you're walking along this path with the mother of Jesus, it was Mary. And Mary Magdalene, who was a follower of Jesus. And you're on your way to a tomb. And as I said, it's a Monday, it's a Sunday morning. And Jesus has been buried in a tomb. And it's the third day. And as I said, while you're walking with them, Mary, the two Marys along with you are on their way to the tomb. Hallelujah. And you know, this is not yet a time of celebration because the one savior who everyone knew on this planet was hung on a cross and he died. And he was put in a tomb. And as I said, it's the third day, and this is now where people's hope is gone, and everyone's very confused because Jesus is no longer with them. But as I said, today is not that day, it's a different day. And it so happens that while you're walking with the two Marys, and I'll I'll come to the word of God, I'll read it to you from the book itself, but suddenly there's an earthquake, and there's an angel of God that ascends, uh descends, I'm sorry, from heaven right in front of you. As I said, those of you who have imaginations, absolutely go for it. You're walking on this path, you're with the two Marys, you're going to a tomb, you're quite lost because Jesus is gone and he's buried in that tomb. And you're just going there because you don't know where else to go. And suddenly, this happens right in front of you that an angel of God descends from heaven, and there's an earthquake, and this angel rolls back the stone on the tomb, and he goes and he sits on it. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The angel of God comes down and there's an earthquake, and he rolls back the stone that's covering the tomb, and he sits on it. So, for those of you who know, the tomb basically used to be something that used to be carved out into the uh, you know, into the rocks or into a stone where you could put a body, so it'll be quite a large space. And as I said, it would be carved out probably into a mountain or you know, some structure that was there, because there was no other place to keep the dead. And then they would roll a stone on top of the mouth of the tomb to stop people from entering. And the Bible says that Jesus kept saying that I will raise, I will be raised on the third day. And because of that, the Pharisees and Sadducees went and told Pontius to go and put guards outside so his disciples don't come and take his body away to prove his words. Ridiculous people. But as I said, it's not about them today. So there are guards sitting outside, and there's a tomb, and the tomb now has a stone in front of it, and this angel has come from heaven, and there's an earthquake, and he's rolled back the tomb. And if you uh the stone on the tomb, and if you understand, the only way you can roll something is if it's round, so you can clearly know that the entrance of the tomb is blocked by something that's round, and that's why he says he rolls it back. And if you roll something out of place, you will know that it'll fall flat, and he goes and he sits on it. Talk about making an entrance and making a statement. And the Bible says, Let me tell you, the countenance of the angel, which is his face, was like lightning. We've only seen lightning from afar, and you know it's light of the highest form, which is why you can see it in the sky no matter where you are. He's shiny white, and his clothes are white as snow, the Bible says. Hallelujah! His countenance is lightning, and he's rolled back that stone and he's sitting there, and the guards, of course, are frozen, scared, like dead men, the Bible says, Hallelujah. And I'm reading it to you now. So you relate your wonderful thought process. I told you, transport yourself in time if you'd like. Live this time with the two Marys who are the only two people who saw it. I read it to you today from the Word of God from the book of Matthew, the 28th chapter. The second verse onwards, and it says, Behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat on it, and his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow, and the guard shook from fear of him and became like dead men. Hallelujah. And here's the next part that I want to take you to. And as I said, for those of you who have an imagination, and for those of you who want to want to absolutely go for it. And you should picture it if you can see yourself standing next to the two Marys, the only two who are alive to see this. The only two who are alive to see this, and here's how it unfolds. But the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. So you have to understand if there are two gods who are there and shivering because they've seen this person come from heaven and roll back the tomb and sit on it, and he's like lightning, and his uh his countenance is like lightning, his face is like lightning, and his clothes are as white as snow. You can only imagine that. But you also have to imagine that there are two women also who are there who are seeing the the very same thing, and of course they will be scared. So the angel says, Don't be afraid. That's what he starts with. For I know you have come to seek Jesus who was crucified, and this is what we celebrate. He is not here, for he is risen, hallelujah, and then he said, Come and see the place where the Lord lay. Hallelujah. He is not here, for he is risen. Come and see the place where he lay. Hallelujah. That is beautiful. That is one of the most beautiful things that is in the Bible. And it's as simple in English or in whatever language you understand, he is risen, he is not here. Hallelujah. And then the angel says, Go and see the place where he lay. Beautiful. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning. That's what we celebrate as resurrection. That's what the world calls Easter. The day where Jesus showed the world that he was raised from the dead. He knew he was going to be raised from the dead. He called it out from the very beginning. But he knew when the time is right, people would know. And that's that day. It's today. And then the angel goes to tell them, Go quickly. Because now there's a lot of stuff that's going to happen. So he tells them, Go quickly and tell his disciples that he's risen from the dead. And because he's going before you into Galilee, and you will see him there. And then the angel says, Behold, I have told you. Hallelujah. So again, I said, picture this. He's come down from heaven, he's rolled the stone back, he sits on it. He just has one work to tell them, Come see, he is risen. He's not here. Go quickly. The Lord is risen. He's going, in fact, ahead of you into Galilee. There, I've done my job, I've told you. Hallelujah. And the Bible says that they run. Now you can only imagine the mixed emotions where all your hope is shattered. You were a follower of Jesus, you've seen him perform sign, miracles, and wonders. You know he's the Son of God. And you were with him every day. You were blessed by him. You ate meals with him. You learned about the kingdom of God through him. You were in his beautiful presence, and suddenly he's dead. He's hung on a cross, and then his body is put in a tomb. And now suddenly there's this angel and there's a stone rolled back, and he says he's not here. And you can only imagine a human mind and how confused it would be. So the Bible says that the two ladies ran from there quickly with fear and great joy. Because you can understand this emotion, emotion. We're human, and I I can relate to this. If I was there, I can relate. I would have been scared and I would have been joyous at the same time. You know, they say tears of joy, but you can also cry out of fear. So it's one of those emotions, and they're running to tell the disciples and listen to this. They meet Jesus on the way. Hallelujah. And if you still, in your mind with the two Marys, understand that now you've met Jesus on the way. Hallelujah. And though they're running to tell the disciples about this good news that Jesus is no longer in the tomb, he is alive, he meets them in the resurrected form. And I want to tell you something. These are the first people who see Jesus in the resurrected form, in the real world, not the spiritual world, the real world. And here's the first word that comes out of Jesus when he meets them and he says, Rejoice. Hallelujah. The first word that Jesus says after he has been resurrected is rejoice. Hallelujah. I won't tell you it's a beautiful morning. I told you I have a short word. And as I said, it's a beautiful sequence of events and how they panned out. And Jesus meets with the two Marys and He says, The first word is rejoice. Hallelujah. I want to tell you this morning, Jesus is alive. He was raised from the grave. Death had no control over him. And Jesus today is seated at the right hand of God. Hallelujah. And it's all about this day. This resurrection day, this as the world calls it, an Easter day, an Easter Sunday. Come see. He is not here. Come see. He is risen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And as I said, for most of the world who knows Jesus, in fact, for most of the world who even doesn't know Jesus knows that the world celebrates this day as a day where Jesus was raised from the dead. It's a day when Jesus came back to life. It's a day when Jesus proved to everyone around that death has no control on him. Hallelujah. And he told people before that, but people didn't believe. And then, of course, he could have done so many other things, but he didn't. And all he had to do was show the world that the tomb is empty. And that's why the first words that came out of his mouth when he met anyone was, rejoice. Hallelujah. This beautiful morning I want to tell you, rejoice. And I'll tell you why. Some of you will get it, and I hope all of you get it. But I'm going to give you a deep revelation this beautiful morning about the resurrection of Jesus. There are so many things I can tell you through the word of God, but I just don't have enough time. But I won't tell you one key important thing this beautiful morning. I want you to take it with you and have a whole new belief system with Jesus and about this beautiful day, this resurrection day. And I'm sharing it with you from the book of Corinthians. And I'd like to read it out to you and let it soak into your system. As God has said many times, meditate on it. 2 Corinthians, the fifth chapter, the 16th verse. And don't read ahead or don't read before, and I will read it out to you from the Word of God. Second Corinthians, the fifth chapter, the 16th verse says, Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. Hallelujah. But for those of you, I'm going to read it again for some of you. Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh, even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. Hallelujah. Let me tell you something. Jesus came on this planet in the flesh. He worked signs, miracles, and wonders. He ate meals with people. He spat on the mud and he put it on people's eyes. He touched the lepers. He doodled on the ground. He was with people at sad times and through happy times. Just as we all experience things on this planet, he came down on this planet and he experienced those things in the flesh with us. But after that, after what he did on that cross, I want to tell you, after conquering the grave, anyone who knows Jesus is from now on no longer of the flesh, is what this passage of scripture is telling you. Hallelujah. I told you the only two people he met when he raised when he was raised from the grave. And he said, Rejoice, and I'll tell you why he said, Rejoice. Because now you and I and anyone who believes in Jesus is not known only in the flesh, is also known in the spiritual world. Hallelujah. Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ in the flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. And the spiritual world knows him. And the spiritual world knows you. If you've put your faith in Jesus, and that's what this resurrection is all about. This passage of scripture can so easily be missed. I want to tell you that this morning, mark it down and go and read it again and again and again, and it will hit you, and you will understand. Just as you use that name, and every knee will bow on the earth, above the earth, and below the earth, because he was raised from the dead, that world now is not of the flesh, and that world knows you. Hallelujah. And because of that, therefore, the next word, the next scripture says, the next passage says, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Hallelujah. All things have been passed away. Behold, all things have been made new. Amen. And hallelujah. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. She is a new creation. All things, old things. I'm gonna reinvent this. All old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, they have become new. A man as of today, the day when Jesus conquered death, the day that we celebrate as resurrection day, the day you don't know what happened in those three days, he was put in the tomb, and then on the third day he rose, and that's something for another day. But I want to tell you this beautiful morning, and because of what he did on that cross, because of this beautiful day, as we celebrate as resurrection day, or what the world calls as Easter, the spiritual world knows him because he's no longer in the flesh, and because of that, and anyone who puts their faith in him, his name, the cross, what he did on that cross, and the fact that he was raised from the grave on the third day, and today he is alive and seated at the right hand of God. Therefore, if you believe that and you are in Christ, you are a new creation as of today. Amen. Everything has passed away, the old has gone, and I'll tell you why the old is gone because you were just a name, and now you are attached to his lineage, and as I said. The spiritual world knows you. And don't underestimate this passage of scripture because it says that the spiritual world knows you and it knows you as the child of the Most High, the one who conquered death, the one who took up death by his own hands, and the one who smashed death by his own hands. Hallelujah. All old things have passed away, all things are made new in Jesus. On this beautiful day where Jesus has conquered death and he's conquered the grave, you and I are a new creation, born and known in the spiritual world through Jesus. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful day. I thank you for this beautiful time. Thank you, Lord, for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. I thank you, Lord, for some people who are understanding this beautiful morning, that they are attached to you. They are the branches and you are the vine. And I thank you this beautiful morning, Lord, and I give you glory, honor, and praise for conquering the grave, Lord. I thank you for what you have done. I thank you that you've done it for us. I thank you that you willingly gave up your life for us. And I thank you by the power that you took it back again. Hallelujah. I thank you for your presence that people can feel. I thank you that we're a new creation in you. And because of this beautiful day that we celebrate as your resurrection, I thank you, Lord, that all old things have passed away. Everything has been made new in you through your body, through your blood, and through what you did on that cross and the grave. Thank you, Lord, that you are alive. I give you honor, Lord, and praise this beautiful morning, and I join in the heavenly host as we sing together and say, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Thank you, Lord, for your name that's above all names, where every knee will bow, where every knee bows on the earth, above the earth, and below the earth. And I thank you for this beautiful passage of scripture through which we are aligned to you. And no longer in the flesh, but in the spirituals as well. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful day. Thank you, Lord. Though we are faithless, you remain faithful, and you are faithful to give up your life on that cross for us. This is a beautiful day. This is a day that you have created, and we will rejoice and be glad in it, as in your creation, in you, through you, and in your name. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
