Where Healing Begins
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What do you hold onto when your body is tired, your mind won’t rest, or life suddenly shifts in a way you didn’t see coming?
This episode is about healing—in every form it shows up.
Long-standing illness. Sudden diagnoses. Mental strain. Anxiety that lingers quietly. The kind of weight that doesn’t always have words.
At the centre of this is a truth we return to in this episode:
- Jesus bore a painful death on the cross and took the lashes on His back for us. By those stripes, there is healing available to us.
- He took every sickness—known and unknown—and carried it on the cross so we don’t have to live under it.
- He wore a crown of thorns upon His head, taking on the weight of anxiety, worry, and mental distress
A promise of healing is something already given—something you learn to receive, sit with, and return to.
And how do you do that?
- By believing in the finished work of the cross.
- By focussing on Jesus - the Word - no matter what the situation is, as much as you can, day and night.
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.”
- Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV

Jesus Heals The Crowds
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Today I want to get straight into the word, and I want to tell you that I'm sharing with you from the time when Jesus was on the planet, and I want to tell you that you know when he was here on this planet, he moved from city to city, preaching the good news, talking about the gospel, talking about the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven. And everywhere he went, I want to tell you, crowds followed him. And everywhere he went, people were getting healed. And the Bible keeps talking about him having compassion on the crowds and healing them. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you that the crowds followed him everywhere he went. And I quote from the Bible this beautiful morning, and that's where I start. The book of Matthew, the eighth chapter, says, When evening had come, they brought him many who were demon-possessed. And he cast out spirits with the word and healed all who were sick. Hallelujah. Luke the fourth chapter says, When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them all. Hallelujah. And Mark the sixth chapter, wherever he entered into villages, cities, or country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that he might just touch the hem of his garments, that they might just touch the hem of his garments. And as many as touched him were made well. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you, these are just a few passages of scripture I've shared with you this morning. And similarly, just as these are multiple in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, who talk about Jesus having compassion on the crowds, and Jesus healing the sick, Jesus freeing the demon-oppressed, people laying people on the paths where he walked and touching his garments, and they were made well. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning that every place where Jesus went, there was healing. And the Bible says every kind of disease was being healed, every kind of sickness Jesus healed. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you that you need to understand that Jesus was on this planet at a very different time. I would like to say it was a time when probably illnesses and diseases didn't even have a name. Maybe doctors didn't even know how to treat them. There barely may have been too many doctors. But the Bible says he healed every kind of sickness and every disease. Amen. Hallelujah. And today I'm just going to share a few of them with you. I told you it's a beautiful day, and I have this word for you. And I'm going to share a few examples with you this morning. And I'll start with this beautiful story of Jesus when he's, you know, most of you know this as the Sermon on the Mount, or some of you know it as the Beatitudes. It's the first time when Jesus stood in front of the crowds and he preached to them and he taught them with authority. And the Bible says that he was on a mountain. And it says that after he preached, he came down from the mountain and crowds followed him, and he's in this place near Capernaum. And as I said, there are crazy crowds around him. And there's this leper who comes and worships him. And you should listen to this next part. And I want to tell you something about lepers at this time when Jesus was on this planet. Leprosy was highly contagious, and they would be outcast from society immediately. They were put outside the city gates. People would not go until a particular point or a distance to them, even to feed them or give them water. They were not allowed to take water from the wells. It was a hard, hard life that lepers had. In fact, we live in a day and age where people don't even have leprosy anymore. Hallelujah. But that time it was a big disease. And you should picture this that the leper is amongst these crowds, which means people were probably running away, but at the same time wanted to run towards Jesus. But the leper knew his life is going to change, and he goes to Jesus and he says, Lord, it's in Matthew the 8th chapter, the second verse. Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. And listen to this, Jesus put out his hand and he touched him, saying, I am willing, be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. I want to tell you, this is a time when people would not go close to a leper, leave aside, touching them, and Jesus is willing. Hallelujah. And he touched him and he said, I'm willing. And the leper immediately, the Bible says, was cleansed. Hallelujah. Then there's this time when Jesus heals deaf and a mute. And he's in this place which is called the Decaplis, which is basically ten cities together, and it's near the Sea of Galilee. And they bring Jesus, a man who's deaf. And the Bible says has an impediment in his speech, which means he couldn't talk, uh speak properly. Most people who are deaf can't hear, and because of that, they are not too sure as to how to form words. So he had an impediment in his speech, the Bible says. And I want to tell you the crowds beg of Jesus to heal this man and to put his hand on them, on him. And the Bible says that Jesus took him aside from the crowd, and he put his fingers in his ears and he spat and he touched his tongue. Hallelujah. Yeah, I'm reading it to you from the word of God. This is not my take on it. So the Bible says that Jesus put his fingers in his ears and he spat and touched his tongue. And here it comes from Mark the 7th chapter, the 34th verse onwards. And then looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, Ephafata, that is, be opened. And immediately, hallelujah, his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. Hallelujah. And then there's this time when Jesus is walking through a city, and he's uh this is associated with a man whose name is Jairus, and he's a ruler of he's one of the rulers of the synagogue. And it so happens when Jesus is walking through the city, Jairus falls at his feet, and he tells Jesus that his daughter is unwell and she's at a point of death. Please, Lord, come, lay your hands on her, that she may be made well and healed, and that she may live. So you see, that's that's not a very nice situation because Jairus has a young daughter and she's at a point of death. And I've told you, this is the time when there might have been very few doctors, or even if there were, they probably didn't know what were the diseases that people faced. And he falls at his feet, and you should understand some people have been at that point where you know you have nowhere else to go but fall at his feet, and Jairus is already at that point. So he falls at Jesus' feet and he says, Lord, my daughter's at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her that she that she may live and be healed. And Jesus doesn't say anything, he just goes with Jairus. And there's a huge crowd that's following him. I told you there's always a huge crowd following him. And on the way, most of you know there's a situation of this woman who had an issue of 12 uh uh issue of blood for 12 years, but I'm not getting into that this morning. So he's going and she gets healed too. And while Jesus is still speaking to this woman who got healed by touching the hem of his garment, and as I said, some of you know the story and some of you don't, but you can read it from the Bible. Jairus' people, or some of his friends who came from his home, come and tell him, Jairus, your daughter is dead. Don't bother the teacher anymore, or don't trouble the teacher anymore. So while Jesus was still speaking to the woman, some people from Jairus's home come and tell him, Jairus, your daughter's dead. Don't trouble the teacher anymore. Some of you can feel the presence of God, and I won't tell you. Maybe you're like a situation like Jairus was in, and imagine getting the news that your daughter is already dead. But here, listen to what Jesus says and listen to it. Do not be afraid, only believe. Hallelujah. The Bible says when Jesus saw this, Jesus probably saw the people who came to talk to Jairus. I think Jairus might have probably fallen down on his knees. Or just, you know what it's like. All of us know pain, hurt, and loss. And you know what that's like when somebody breaks that news to you and says, Your daughter is no more, don't trouble him. But Jesus saw it, and he only had one thing to say: do not be afraid, only believe. Hallelujah. And that's for someone this morning. Hallelujah. Do not be afraid, only believe. Do not be afraid, only believe. And here's the key: Jesus takes only Peter, James, and John with him. He only takes Peter, James, and John. He's in the crowd, he's got all his disciples with him. Everyone's crushing against him. There's a woman who's been healed of an issue of blood for 12 years, and he gets the news that the daughter's already dead, but now he takes only Peter, James, and John and asked everyone else to stay back. And the Bible says he goes to Jairus' house, and when he reaches the house, I want to tell you what happens. There's already a large crowd there. And you know, there are these people who are wailing and moaning and screaming and crying. And Jesus says, Why this commotion and the weeping? The child is not dead but asleep. Hallelujah. And guess what? The people ridicule Jesus and they laugh at him. And here's what Jesus does next: He puts them all outside. He takes the father, the mother, and Peter, James, and John, and goes into the room where the child was lying. And the next part is just amazing from the book of Matthew, the fifth chapter, the 41st. 41st verse onwards. Matthew, the fifth chapter, the 41st verse onwards, and then he took the child by the hand and said to her, Talita kumi, which is translated, little girl, I say to you, arise. And immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years old. And they were overcome with great amazement. Oh hallelujah. Mark 5 41 onwards. He took the child, he leaves everyone out, he takes the two parents. And he took Peter, James, and John, and he took the child by the hand and said, Talita kumi, which is translated, oh little girl, I say to you, arise. And immediately she woke up and walked, because she was 12 years old, and they were they were all overcome with amazement. Hallelujah. Of course, she was dead. But to Jesus, and to what message he had to give, Jairus, and what he wants to give you today, do not be afraid, only believe. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Wow, a dead girl comes to life, a deaf and a mute gets his hearing and his speech back. A leper is made well. And let me tell you this morning, these are just three small examples that I'm sharing with you. A tiny, tiny little amount of what Jesus did when he was on this planet in terms of healing people. He healed and delivered people. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning. Everywhere in the Bible, where you read, when Jesus was on this planet, it says he had compassion on people and it says he healed them. He had compassion on people and he healed them. Jesus' center was love. His center is love. But that's for another day. Because everywhere he went, as I said, it says he had compassion and then he healed. And today I want to leave you with this beautiful passage of scripture from the book of Psalm. The 20th verse. Psalm 107, the 20th verse says He sent His Word and healed them. He delivered them from their destructions. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Psalm 107 20 says he sent his word and he healed them. Delivered them from their destruction. Hallelujah. I want to tell you, Jesus came on this planet that all may be healed. Anyone who puts their trust in Jesus will be healed and made whole. For those of you who don't know, in the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God, the word is Jesus. He sent Jesus that we may be healed and delivered through him and that we may move away from our destruction through him. Hallelujah. The prophecy of Jesus from the book of Isaiah, most of all, uh most of you might know, maybe you don't, calls out why Jesus came on this planet before his name was even known. Hallelujah. Read it out to you, this beautiful morning from the Word of God, from the book of Isaiah, the 53rd chapter. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning. It's the prophecy of Jesus before he came here. This should be your pillar and your scripture, your foundation for any healing that you ever need or seek from the Most High, because it's already done. And he died on the cross for you and me. That you and me may be healed. Hallelujah. Isaiah 53:5. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was buried. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him. And by his stripes we are healed. Hallelujah. He was pierced for our offenses. He was crushed for our wrongdoings. The punishment of our well-being was upon him. And by his wounds, we are healed. By his stripes, we are healed. Amen. I want to tell you, he took lashes on his back for you and me. He took a crown of thorns upon his head for your mental peace. That you may have no stress, that you may not be troubled. And by his stripes on his back and on his body. And wherever he had to take them, we are healed. You are already healed. Hallelujah. Don't be mistaken. Don't be misled. You are already healed. Hallelujah. And this is for someone this morning who's struggling. And you're not struggling with an illness or a disease. You need a different kind of healing this morning. And I want to tell you that God knows you, He knows your situation. He knows what you're going through. And you might not need a healing this morning, but I want to tell you that you need to believe this. This is first for you to hear and then believe from the word of God from the book of Psalm 34 17. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and rescues them from all troubles. The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Hallelujah. You might not need a healing, which is a physical healing, but you are at that point where your heart broken. I want to tell you that when you call out to the Lord, He hears you. And He will rescue you from all your troubles. The Lord is near. If you are in that place, it's not me, it's the Word of God. And He saves those who are crushed in the spirit. Hallelujah. It's time for you to know that you have tried out being in that place which is a difficult place. You know, it's not easy. But I want to tell you this beautiful morning that you cry out to Him, the righteous cry out. I want to tell you the first thing you need to do, Jesus is our righteousness. You call out to Jesus. If you put your faith in Jesus and you call out to God, you're calling out to the Savior, and He hears you, and He will rescue you from all your troubles, the Bible says. Hallelujah. And this is your time to say amen. For somebody who needs this, from the book of Isaiah, and this is a beautiful passage of scripture that I came across. And just for you to know, Amen means so be it, Lord. From Isaiah 58 8. And I'm reading to you from the Word of God from Isaiah 58 8, the same prophet who prophesied the coming of Jesus, who speaks the word of God today into our lives, through the word, then your life will. Break out like the dawn, amen. And your recovery will spring up, and your righteousness will go before you. The glory of the Lord will be your rearguard. Hallelujah. For those of you who don't know this, I want to tell you your righteousness is Jesus. Jesus is your righteousness. Hallelujah. And I'm reading from the NKJV version. Then your light shall break forth like the morning. Amen. And your healing shall spring forth speedily. Amen. Your righteousness shall go before you. Jesus will go before you. And the glory of the Lord will be your real guard. Amen. Hallelujah. What a beautiful passage of scripture. Believe it, claim it. I want to tell you, I've said it to you many times before, I say it to you again this beautiful morning. The Lord is watching over his word to perform it. And the day you claim it, you claim it in the spirituals, and you will see it in the real world. Hallelujah. And before I leave you this beautiful morning, I want to tell you, Jesus has compassion on you. He loves you. I told you his center is love. But as I said, that's for another time. And when he was on this planet, the only reason why you want to look at the time when Jesus was on this planet and what he did was to know what kind of person he was and what he was teaching us. And everywhere he went, the Bible says he had compassion on people. He had compassion on people. He had compassion on people. And he healed everyone. He healed everyone. Every kind of disease, all kinds of diseases. And that's what I started with. From Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. You can read it as many times as you want. The Bible only talks about people bringing their sick and leaving them at his feet, and he healed them all. Hallelujah. And I'd like to leave you with this final passage of scripture from the book of wisdom. This beautiful book of wisdom. From Proverbs, the fourth chapter, the 20th verse onwards. And this is for you to guide you through your time on this planet. My son, give attention to my words. Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your ears, from your eyes. Hallelujah. Keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. This beautiful book of wisdom is telling us this morning, my son, my daughter, give attention to my ears, to my words. I'm sorry. Incline your ears to it. Don't let them depart from your eyes. Hallelujah. That means your ears and your eyes have to be inclined to the word of God. Hear the word, read the word. It should not depart from your eyes and your ears, he's saying very clearly. She is saying, Hallelujah. Keep them in your heart. That means know the word of God all times, for they are life to those who find them. And I'll tell you why. This beautiful passage of scripture is saying they are life to those who find them, because as I said in the beginning was the word, and he said, Let there be light, and there was light. So when you know the word for your situation, for your healing, for your mental peace, when you know the word and you hear it and you see it, you will find it. Hallelujah. And it will be held to your flesh. Hallelujah. What a beautiful passage of scripture. This beautiful day, I want to tell you, Jesus, his core, his love. He came on this planet to heal, and that is what he left us with. He gave up his life on a cross for you and me. His body was broken. His blood was shed. And by the stripes that he bore on his body, you and I are already healed. And believe it this morning and claim it. This beautiful day that he has made for you and me, where he came on this planet, that you may be healed. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful word, your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been said or fallen. I thank you, Lord, that you have compassion on us. I thank you, Lord, that you know our situations. I thank you, Lord, that we are already healed. Aligned to your word from Isaiah 53. By every stripe that you have borne on that cross, Lord, we are already healed. And I claim a complete healing on everyone who's hearing this word, on everyone who's as aligned to your word, hearing it, that it is healing to their flesh, amen. And their bones. Amen. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. Thank you, Lord, that people can feel your presence. I thank you for being obedient to death and death on a cross only for us. I thank you, Lord, that you took a crown of thorns upon your head for us. I thank you, Lord. That you were chastised for us and you were willing to take it only for us on this beautiful day. As we leave everything at your feet. If there are any health problems, you were crushed for our iniquities, and those are crushed right now. In the name of Jesus, through what you did on that cross, that splits everything on this planet. Always and forever. Thank you, Jesus, for what you did on that cross. I thank you, Lord, for the brokenhearted that are being healed. Because as they call to you, you will answer them and take care of their situation and be with them, as your word says. He is with you. Don't be mistaken about it. It's his word, he's watching over his word to perform it. Thank you for this beautiful time. Thank you for your presence. Thank you, Lord. People can feel your presence. Thank you, Lord, that there are already healings happening in their midst and they will know it. In this week, they will know it. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
