Some things in life exist as unchanging fundamentals.

The sun rises in the east.
A day has 24 hours.
Certain truths simply remain constant — whether we fully understand them or not.

In the same way, there are foundational principles in God’s Kingdom that stand firm. And one of them is giving to God.

But why does giving matter so much?
Is it because God needs our money?
Or is there something deeper behind it?

In this episode, we reflect on one of the most powerful yet misunderstood principles in the Christian walk — giving as an act of worship, honour, faith, and obedience to God.

Scripture describes giving as a sweet-smelling aroma pleasing to Him.
Not because He lacks anything, but because giving reveals something about our heart, our trust, and our willingness to place Him above everything else.

We live in a world where almost everything revolves around money. Logic tells us to hold tightly to it, protect it, and depend on it. But what happens when we choose to trust God’s Word above human logic?

  • What does giving really mean in God’s Kingdom?
  • Why does God take pleasure in it?
  • And what happens when we honour Him first, even when it doesn’t seem logical?

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
- Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Pay Attention To Today’s Word

SPEAKER_01

Hallelujah. Today is an important word, so pay attention. I'm gonna start straight with the word of God, and I'm gonna I'm taking you to a book in the Old Testament, and it's a time in the life of the Israelites and Moses. And as I said, a lot of things actually happened. I know that we've been talking about Moses and the Israelites, but a lot of things happened and are very significant to our lives on this planet, to what God did with the Israelites at that time, who were called his people, his chosen ones. And today I'm sharing with you from the book of Numbers, which is a very important one. As I said, pay attention this morning. And just to let you know, the book of Numbers is written by Moses. And we all know that God spoke to Moses. And in this book, also, yet again, he's speaking with Moses, and Moses is with God, and God is telling him about rules that he wants the people of Israel to follow. And just to let you know, it's about this time when he has told the Israelites, his people, that he's taking them into the promised land and that they're supposed to do certain things before they get there. And he's already gotten them out of slavery, he's showed them what he has done to Egypt, the Pharaoh, and the Egyptian armies by opening up the Red Sea for them to walk on it and then covering the Red Sea behind them, finishing off the Egyptians. And I want to tell you through Moses, he gives very specific instructions God is into. When they enter the promised land. So he's basically preparing them for the time when they will enter the promised land. And he's saying, I'm I've given you this land, I've kept it aside for you. You're going to inherit it. And when you go there, I need you to do this. And I want to tell you, it gets into such minute details, but I'm not going to get into that. I already started with telling you, pay attention to today's word, it's important. Hallelujah. And I'm going straight into it from the book of Numbers, the 15th chapter, the first verse onwards. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, say to them, When you have come into the land that you are to inherit, inhabit, I'm sorry, which I am giving to you, and you will make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or as a free will offering, or in your appointed feast, to make a sweet aroma to the Lord from the herd or the flock. Hallelujah. Numbers 15, 1 to 3. And basically, he tells Moses that I'm taking you into this land, and I want you to go and tell the the whole, the children of Israel, God says, that they have to, before they come into this land to inhabit it, to inhabit it, the land that I'm already giving you. I want you to make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, or as a free will offering, or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet aroma to the Lord. So he basically tells them when he uh and just to let you know, there's another scripture that says he brought them out of Egypt and they were rich with flock and gold and silver, and there was none feeble amongst them. And he's basically saying now that the Israelites have to make an offering to God from the flock that they have. And yes, for those of you who don't know, or you're trying to miss it, or you've missed it, God is talking about offering. He's talking about how Israel is supposed to make an offering to him before they inhabit the land that he's giving to them. He's already said very clearly, to the land that I am giving you, he's already given it to them. He's not physically taken them into it yet. And I want to tell you, it goes into such clear expectations out of the people of Israel when he's talking to Moses. He even goes on to say that along with this offering, I also want every, wait for it, every individual, not as a family, not as a group, every individual to also offer me a grain offering and a drink offering, along with this offering, which is a sacrificial fire offering, a burnt offering as what they like to call it at that time. And I'll tell you the kind of detail that he gets into, which I said I'm not getting into it, but he gets into measurements of how much uh what needs to be used for the for the burnt offering, what needs to be used for the grain offering, and what needs to be used for the drink offering, too. It even goes into what kind of animal, what kind of brain, in what measurements and what mixtures. Hallelujah. But through this whole book, while he's telling Moses what he needs to tell the people of Israel, in every three to four verses, and you can go and check it if you like, he tells Moses all these offerings are a sweet aroma to the Lord. Hallelujah. And then God even goes down to say that people who have committed sin, whether intentional or unintentional, have to go on and make additional offerings. And then yet again, through the whole of the 15th chapter, a sweet aroma to the Lord. He's reassuring Moses every time he's telling them that he wants Israel to do something, or the people of Israel to do something, he's reassuring him that it is a sweet aroma to the Lord. And I want to tell you that God took his people, the Israelites, into the promised land and he expected them to make offerings to him. The way I see it, offerings of thanksgiving before it even happened. A sweet aroma to God. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you, no, this is one of the best hidden secrets in the kingdom of God. Do you know that guy who comes to lie, steal, and destroy? He has tried his level best to keep this under wraps because this is the difference between you living in the true kingdom of God. And you know the Bible says God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And he asked the people of Israel to make a sacrifice to him before he's taken them to the promised land. And every time he's telling Moses, it is a sweet aroma to me. It's a sweet aroma to me. Go tell the people it's a sweet aroma to the Lord. Hallelujah. But I'm telling you today, this passage of scripture from the book of Numbers, the 15th chapter, is about giving to God. And I want to reassure you, it's not me, it's the word of God. And I told you that guy has tried his level best to keep this under wraps, that the secret not come out to people who know God. And yes, there's a huge difference between what happened in the Old Testament and a huge difference of what happens in the New Testament, because that's when Jesus happened and everything changes after that. But do know that the Bible says he is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And he tells his people before he's taken them even into the promised land that it is a sweet aroma to him, a sacrifice. Hallelujah. So, as I said, don't take it from me. But I want to tell you this morning, through the word of God, I will break this down into two very basic aspects for each and every one of you to understand. For those of you who want to have a deeper relationship with God, for those of you who want to understand on how to get God's attention. And I'll start with the first half, which is where is it written? That you might ask, where is it written that I need to give to God? And I'll tell you multiple places, but I'm only going to share two with you this morning. The first one is from the book of Luke, the sixth chapter, the 38th verse. Luke, the sixth chapter, the 38th verse, which says, which says, give, and it will be given to you a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Hallelujah. Where is it written that I need to give to God? I told you many places, but I'm just going to share two with you. The first is Luke 6:38, and it's saying to you and me this morning, hey, you if you want to take the blessings in the Bible, you have to take everything in the Bible. And this is in the Bible too about giving. And it's clear. And in case you wanted to understand again, these words are the words of Jesus. When he's talking to his disciples, he's saying, Give, and it will be given back to you. A pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. Other version says, For the measure that you use, it will be returned back to you. Hallelujah. As I said, I'm not going to go into explaining this to you because the Bible has explained it in very clear words. And no matter what version you'd like to read, it has very clear meaning. And I'm not here to give you the meaning. I told you I'm here to give you the message of God through the word of God. Give and it will be given back to you. These are the words of Jesus. And he says it'll be given back, pressed together, shaken down, which basically means he will make place to bless you. So much. So much of blessing. That's what it means by pressed down, shaken together. You know, when you try to get something into a sack, a gunny sack, or you're trying to get something into maybe a you know, like a container. We all know that when you want to put more into it, you try to tend to shake it, make some space, bang it on the ground so that it goes, more stuff goes in. That's what Jesus is saying. Give and I will give back to you. Running over. Hallelujah. But hey, as it's measured, as you measure it, it will be measured back to you. The next one is hard hitting. But as I said, I'm gonna leave it for you to decode it because this is already something that is a difficult one to release, the word of God. Malachi 3:8. Will a man rob God? Question mark. Yet you have robbed me, and you will say, In what way have I robbed you in tithes and offerings. And I want to tell you something, no matter how many versions of the Bible you look at, for those of you who know and give to God, this is not for you, and it's not supposed to hit you, anyways, because you already understand that concept. But for those of you who are looking away, I want to tell you this is the one way where the devil cannot even step into your arena because God protects that arena when you give to him. And listen to it. No matter what version you read, it only says tithes and offerings everywhere. And the scripture talks about man robbing God in tithes and offerings. And you say, Does God need my money? I told you I'm only here to release the word of God as the way it's given. And we all live in the in this age of AI and search engines, and you go and figure out what's tithes and offerings, and it's a very clear differentiation. You go back and find out what that means. But I'm telling you this morning from this passage of scripture, I told you it's hard-hitting. Malachi 3:8 says, Will you rob God in tithes and offerings? And then it goes on to say, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in my house. And try me now in this, or test me now in this, says the Lord of hosts. If I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough for you to receive it. Amen. So you see, just as God is saying, Why are you robbing me? He also turns around and says, Bring the tithes into the storehouse that they may be food in my house, and try me now in this or test me now in this, says the Lord of hosts. And if I will not open the windows of heaven, the windows of heaven, and pour out so much that you will not have room enough to receive it. Amen. Hallelujah. I want to tell you that it's the only time in the Bible where God says, Test me. You can read the Bible as much as you'd like. There's every word that will tell you, do not test me. Any other part of the Bible that will say, Do not test the Lord. But this is the one part where the Lord says, Test me. Bring the tithe into the storehouse and test me and see if I will not open the window of heaven. He doesn't say window, I'm sorry. He says the windows of heaven, and he will give you so much that you won't have room enough to contain it. Amen. Hallelujah. Give to God what is rightfully his, your tithe and your offering. And the Bible says, test and see if God will not open the floodgates of heaven. That you won't have room to contain it. Hallelujah. And I'm coming to my second half. I told you it's broken down into two halves for you to understand through the word of God. And the second half is where should I give? Where should I give to God? Should I put it in a bag and put it inside the ground? Should I go to an open field and throw it up into the air so that God can see that I'm offering him something? No. No. Galatians 6, 6. And uh Galatians 6, chapter the 6th verse says, Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. And then it goes on to say, Do not be deceived. Yet again it's saying the same thing, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that also he will reap. Hallelujah. Amen. We all know when we take a chunk of money and put it in a bank in an investment, you get a chunk return. And we also know that if we take pocket change and put it in a bank as a return, you will get pocket change. And that's the word of God. It's not me, as I said. All of this is today the word of God. But I'm here to tell you through the word of God that He wants to bless you. And that guy has tried his level best to keep this under wraps because after you do this, he cannot step into the path that God has set and defined for you. Hallelujah. Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will reap. You need to give to the place or the person where you hear the word of God from. You need to give to the place or the person where you are being taught the word of God. Hallelujah. It's the word of God, people, it's not me. Hallelujah. And today I'm taking you to the New Testament, and this is where I come to the end of what I wanted to share with you. And there's this time. I told you there's a very big difference between what happened before Jesus came and what happened after Jesus came. That's why it's called B C and A D. And that's why the cross divides everything. What Jesus did on that cross divides everything in the spiritual world. Hallelujah. I think most of you know the scripture that says we don't battle with flesh and blood. We battle with principalities and powers. And I want to tell you that when you give to God, you know, giving to God makes no sense. There's another passage of scripture that says, I don't need your offering. God even says that. He says, but I yet want you to give me an offering. And this is why I'm telling you this is that spiritual world. Once you give to God, it's a spiritual thing. God doesn't need what we have to give. You think God needs our money? He doesn't need our money. You think he you think uh, and by the way, it is an old testament scripture that says, Do you think I need your bull? Your offering? I don't need it. I've made that bull, he is telling his people. I don't need your offering, but yet give me an offering because it is a sweet aroma to me. And I tell you, when you give that offering to God, the spiritual world cannot touch you. That's just what it is, and I've not made the rules. Hallelujah. That's why I said I'm coming to the New Testament for Jesus and what he did on that cross. And he's in this place, it's called Bethany, and he's at he's at home of someone. And there's a woman there who comes and takes an alabaster box. And the Bible says, and I'm reading it to you from Matthew the 26th, chapter the sixth verse onwards, she takes an alabaster flask of very fragrant oil, and she pours it on Jesus' head as he sat at the table. And she came under flack for doing it because people said, Why this waste? You could have taken this money, you could have taken this oil and sold it and given it to the poor. Only a giver understands this. Why this waste? There are theories that say that that flask she had. You need to understand that when Jesus was on this planet, it was very different times. Oil was the most expensive thing. Pragrant oils were the only thing that were considered as important. When the rich men came from the east, they brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Frankincense and myrrh are material things, they are liquids. So you can only imagine that she had this alabaster box and she breaks it and she pours it on his head as a sacrificial offering, and she comes under flak because there are theories that say it was 10 to 12 months' wages. Yeah, go do the math. 12 months' wages is one year's wage. Wow. She took that and broke it and poured it onto Jesus, and they say, Why did you do this? Why did you do this? You could have sold that and given that money to the poor. That's what people will tell you. And Jesus says, and here's his answer from 2610, Matthew 26.10, why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work. For you will always have the poor with you. Always, but you mean you will not always have. For in pouring this fragrant oil on my body, she has done it for my burial. And assuredly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will be told in memory of her or as a memorial to her. And the gospel is preached from here, and as aligned with the words of Jesus, the story comes out today. She broke that oil and poured it on his body. And I want to tell you something. When Jesus became that sacrifice, it would not have been a good thing for God, but I want to tell you that was the only sweet aroma he had when he became that sacrifice for us. And that's why he said, wherever this gospel is preached, the story of this woman will be told a sweet aroma of a giver. Hallelujah. Some of you have understood this word, somebody some of you have understood this word many years ago and are continuously giving to God and praise God for that. But today I want to tell you for those of you who don't Go read Malachi 3 10. It says, Go test me and try me. Please understand, it's not me. I told you it's through the word of God and it's a spiritual thing. It's a spiritual thing. God doesn't need what we have to give him. The Bible says the gold is his, the silver is his, the cattle on a thousand heads. Everything is his. The earth is his footstool. You think he needs what we have to give him? No, we don't. It's a spiritual thing. It's a spiritual thing. It has a connotation in the spiritual world, which is why when Jesus gave up his life on that cross, it was a spiritual thing. The spiritual world can't stick, they see you now, they see you as protected, they can't touch you. Hallelujah. Giving to God is an act of faith. I want to tell you, and as I said, I have a very short word this morning, but it's very important, and I needed you to pay attention to this and listen to it. Because when you give to God, when you give to God, He will give back to you, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing, He will pour into your lap. And for those of you who don't know the concept of giving, I want to tell you, it is a sweet aroma to the Lord, not according to me, according to His word, according to His Word. And when you give to Him, or even if you're thinking, Should I, should I not? His word says, Test me and see if I will not open the floodgates of heaven. The windows of heaven, test me. The only time in the Bible that God will allow you to test him is when he is letting you give to him that he may protect you from that spiritual battle that you and I have no say about. We have no control over, besides just being under the protection of the Most High. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Always remember God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And he sees your offering as a sweet aroma. The only difference between what God did in the Old Testament and gave them so many laws, and you can read Numbers 15 if you'd like. The measurements, it even goes down to the minutest measurements of how much they need to use for a grain offering and what mixture, and how much measurement for a drink offering, and what mixture, and how much what kind of animal for what kind of sin. It's unbelievable. And then it's just wiped out clean after what Jesus has done on the cross. But understand he's the same yesterday, today, and forevermore, and he expects you to give to him because it is a sweet aroma to him. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful word. I thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. I thank you for your word that cuts through bone and marrow, Lord. And I thank you this beautiful day that you're changing hearts. That as people give to you, align to your word, you will give back, press down, shake it together, and overflowing you will pour into their lives in all the areas of the life of their life that they're looking for, Lord. And I thank you, Lord, that as they give to you, you will put a hedge of protection around them, that the spiritual world will see and know that they cannot touch, and that you will open the floodgates of heaven, the windows of heaven, and pour out so much that they will not have room enough to contain it. Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful word. Thank you, Lord, for the hearts that you are changing and opening. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. And we thank you, Lord, for the sacrifice that you have made for us. Where we have been redeemed and purchased by a very expensive price. And always now under your name and under your protection, under your wings, in that pen that is designated by you. Hallelujah. Where no one can touch or even come near. This is for somebody this morning. His word says, Your walls are continually before him. He remembers your sacrifices. Hallelujah. Let me tell you what that means. That means it's an old testament scripture, and it means in old times the walls were the only defenses you had against outsiders. And I'm telling you this beautiful morning, he remembers your sacrifices, his walls, your defenses are continually before him. He is watching. No one dare even come near you. Hallelujah. Some of you are feeling the presence of God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
