The Three-Step Foundation

Life doesn't always unfold the way we imagined it would.
There are seasons when plans fall apart, doors close, prayers seem delayed, and we quietly wonder, "This isn't how I thought my life would look."
But what if, even in those moments, God is still in control?
Not just of the milestones we celebrate, but of the details we cannot yet see.
In this episode, we begin with one unchanging truth: God has not abandoned you. His plans are never interrupted by our circumstances, and His promises remain true even when life feels uncertain.
But before we talk about building a strong foundation, there's one question we all need to answer:
Who is Jesus to us?
Jesus declared,
"I am the door." (John 10:9)
He is the way, the truth, and the life—the only doorway to true peace, lasting security, and the abundant life God promises.
So how do we begin building a life that stands firm?
Scripture gives us three simple yet life-changing principles in Psalm 37:3–5:
• Trust in the Lord.
• Delight yourself in Him.
• Commit your way to Him.
But what does "delighting in the Lord" actually look like in everyday life?
• Is it found in spending time with God's Word?
• In thanking Him even before we see the answer?
• In acknowledging Him in every decision we make?
• And what happens when we choose to trust His faithfulness instead of our own understanding?
God's Word reminds us that His blessing brings no sorrow, and that true increase comes from Him alone.
If you're standing at a crossroads, waiting for direction, or longing for a foundation that won't crumble when life gets difficult, this episode is a Bible-centred reminder that the strongest life is built one step of faith at a time.
Because lasting peace isn't found in having all the answers.
It's found in trusting the One who already does.

Hallelujah. I want to get straight into the word of God this beautiful morning, and I want to tell you that I want to start with telling you, in fact, God is in control of everything. Amen. Hallelujah. He's in control of all your situations. He knows everything about you. And don't be mistaken. If you know if anything's not going as per plan, and you might think that he's not in control. He absolutely is in control of everything. And I even want to tell you this this morning that God is even into the minutest of details, the most minute details of everything. And you'll say, uh, no, maybe not. Let me tell you, the Bible even says that he knows the sand on the beach are numbered by him. Hallelujah. That's how much he's in control. So don't be mistaken this beautiful morning. And I told

Jesus Heals And Draws Crowds

you, I want to get straight into the word of God. And I'm starting in the words of Jesus this morning. And you know, Jesus has started to get people following him, and you know, uh, people are getting to know about him, and they are bringing their sick to them, uh, to him. And people with all kinds of diseases, the Bible says all kinds of diseases were getting healed. Now you can only imagine, uh, you know, Jesus came at a time when I don't think doctors were there, or maybe it was more like a trial and error. You know, so there might have been so many things happening with so many people, but Jesus was healing everyone. Jesus was making the paralyzed get up, he was making the blind see, he was making the deaf and the mute hear and speak. He was shunning out the demons from people, he was raising the dead. Hallelujah. And Jesus now has got the attention of everyone. He's talking to the people about a good shepherd. And then from a good shepherd, he turns the definition to a true shepherd, and he talks about the true shepherd being somebody who enters the sheepfold through the gate, not somebody who, you know, jumps over a fence or takes a shortcut. And that's I'm telling you that that's a word for a whole new day, but some of you can feel the presence of Jesus, he's already there with you. Because he's the true shepherd, he's not just the good shepherd, he's the true shepherd, the one who came to enter the pen through the gate, and there was a heavy price to pay. And as I said, he didn't take a shortcut, and that's the definition he's trying to give the people and his disciples, and they don't understand it. And uh, you know, some parables I want to tell you, Jesus explained, and some he just didn't because he left it, because it's for the wise to unfold. Anyway, coming back to the story, he's talking about the true shepherd, and he says, I am the true shepherd. I want to tell you in this beautiful day and age, nobody will tell you that he is the true shepherd. He will send you to other places, he will tell you to do X, Y, and Z. There's only one who can say, I am the true shepherd, and that's Jesus. And he talks about entering through the gate of the sheepfold. He talks about the sheep knowing his voice when he speaks. And as I said, that's a story for another day. Because there was no one else who was willing to get up on a cross and die for you and me, besides the one who came through the gate, the true shepherd. Hallelujah. And then I want to tell you, he makes things so beautiful and so easy. And that's the problem with this world that people think it's not possible it can be so easy, but it is that easy. Jesus Says He Is The Door

straight into the word of God through the words of Jesus. And I know some of you are feeling the presence of Jesus this beautiful morning, and enjoy it because that means this is purely for you. In John 10, 9, the book of John, the 10th chapter, the ninth verse, he says, I am the door. Amen. Hallelujah. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. Amen. Hallelujah. So I told you he's talking about being the good shepherd, the true shepherd, and then all of a sudden he talks about, I am the door. Hallelujah. And if anyone enters by me, anyone enters by me, he will be saved. And he will go in and go out and find pasture. Hallelujah. He's suddenly talking about a shepherd, he's referring to a sheep, he's referring to a ship, sheep who know his voice, who hear his voice, the sheep know the voice of the shepherd. And then suddenly he says, I'm the door. And he's now talking about anyone who enters through me will be saved, and they will go in and out and find pasture. And I want to tell you, if anyone enters by me, which means if uh it means that if you enter in life through the gate, who is Jesus, the gate of life. That's what Jesus is talking about. Because suddenly he's talking about a good shepherd, and then suddenly he turns it into a discussion about life. And I will tell you, this pastor's scripture from Jesus' mouth is so clear that you will go in and go out and you will find pasture. Amen. And then see what he says in the next verse. The thief that does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. But I have come that they may have life and they may have it more abundantly. Hallelujah. I'm not going to get into the thief this morning, but I'm talking to you about Jesus this morning, and I'm telling you that he came that you and I may have life and we may have it more abundantly. And that means anyone who puts their faith in Jesus will be saved. That's what he said. Anyone who puts their faith in me will be saved. Anyone who puts their faith in me will find green pastures, and he will have life, and he will have it abundantly. Hallelujah. And it's beautiful. It's in John 10. I told you, uh, you know, John 10, and you can read it in your own time, you can meditate on it. And there's chaos after this because people start saying that he's blaspheming and stuff like that. But I want to tell you this morning, and it's so beautifully put by Jesus over here, this is the first time he calls people unto himself, saying, I am the door, I am the keeper, I'm the shepherd. Enter through me. You will come in and go out, and you will find pastures. That means no matter where you are in life, if you accept Jesus and you walk through life with him, you will always find pasture because he is the true shepherd. And the shepherd has only one job. The exact opposite of this other guy. And he will always take you to pastures, which means you will always find food. He will always put a head of protection around you, which means nobody can come near you. He's that lion of the tribe of Judah, in case anyone even dares. Hallelujah. So, what are these green pastures, and what is the meaning of having life and having it more abundantly? I want to tell you, I want to take you to another timeline. There's this time when God is angry with his people and he's given them into the hands of other kings and foreigners. And the Bible says that his people are living in exile. This is after being freed from slavery, that they're living in exile for over 70 years. 70 years means generations would have come and gone, living in a curse because God was angry.

Jeremiah 29:11 Hope In Exile

But God always gave them an option, and he this time he's speaking through Jeremiah, prophet Jeremiah. And I want to tell you this morning from Jeremiah 29, 11. Some of you know it by heart. It says, I know the plans I have for you. Hallelujah. Thoughts that I have towards you, plans of peace and well-being, plans with a hope and a future. Another version says, For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Amen. And this is God at a time releasing a blessing onto his people because they've made their own way, they've made their own path, and they are heading to destruction, and you know, probably they're crying out to God, they're unhappy. And he's saying, I know the plans I have for you. I know the plans I have for you. And he's telling you and me this morning, I know the plans I have for you. They're far from disaster, their plans of peace and well-being with a hope and a future. Amen. So God is telling you and me today that He knows the plans he has for you. He's telling you and me today that there's only one way to enter that plan, and that's Jesus. And I want to tell you this morning that maybe some of you are not in that place where you're seeing the plan of God. Maybe you're in that place where you feel it's not gone the way I thought it would. See, the thing is, it's exactly that, the way you thought it would. But I want to tell you, God's plans for you and me are very different, and uh I want to tell you that you need to understand that certain things don't work the way you want them to work. And you will say, But I've known Jesus from a very long time. I've kept his statutes, I've kept his word. But I want to tell you this beautiful morning, I don't have an explanation for that. But I have his word, and his word says he knows the plans he has for you. They're not of disaster, they're plans with a hope and a future with prosperity in it. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And today I want to give you building blocks. As I said, what are these plans? What are these pastures? How do I get there? I just want to give you today a foundation, a strong building block, a three-pronged, strong foundation for you from the word of God, that you can build on and you can live in this life that Jesus promises sheep, saying that I am the door, and you will go in and go out, and you will find pastures, and you will always be at a place of blessing. And that was his uh that was his blessing to his uh to the people who were listening to him from the book of John. So I'm getting straight into it, and this is a beautiful psalm of David, and you should really mark this down, and I want to tell you that you know you should keep this foundation always with you because David clearly understood it, and I want to tell you from a shepherd, he became the king of Israel, and from that day till today, he was the most successful king of Israel with peace on all corners. Three-Part Foundation From Psalm 37

for you to be living in God's blessing always. It's coming from somebody who trusted God completely. And I'm going straight into this beautiful morning from Psalm 37. Psalm 37, the third chapter. It said, trust it says, trust in the Lord and do good. Live in the land and feed on his faithfulness. Hallelujah. Another version says, cultivate faithfulness, trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and keep his faithfulness, feed on his faithfulness, hallelujah. I'll tell you what it means. It means basically just trust in Jesus. This beautiful day, just trust in Jesus. It says, Dwell in the land, live in the land. You have been allocated a land. I want to tell you that when he brought the people out of slavery, out of Egypt, he called Moses and he gave each tribe a designated place, in case you didn't know that in the promised land. And as I said, where you are today, it might not be the way you saw it happening, but I want to tell you, he has allocated that lot to you. And believe me, he wants to bless you. But if you're not in that blessing, it's probably because you're not in that walk with Jesus every day. Because as I told you, he's the gate, he's the keeper. And in the words of Jesus, he's told you and me that you will come in and you go out and you will find pastures. He didn't say you might. Oh, in 365 days of the year, 17 days you will find pastures. The rest I'm I'm not sure. It depends on the rain, it depends on which hill you decide to climb. No, no, no. Where you go in and you go out and you will find pastures, Jesus' words. So you dwell in the land that you've that you've been given and understand. And I told you through his word, you need to trust in him. You need to trust in him, and that's a very difficult thing. For humans, we find it easier to trust in people. We find it easier to trust in our friend, our 7 a.m. friend, our 2 a.m. friend, our uncle who's got that tons of money in the bank, and you'll go and you know, literally fall at his feet for anything. Because he's got the money. But you need to trust in the Lord, the Bible says. And David knew it, and he trusted in the Lord. And then it goes on to say, delight yourself in the Lord. Delight yourself, don't miss the word also. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Amen. You'll say, What do I mean? What do you mean by delight yourself in the Lord? I've told you this before, I'll tell it to you again. When was the last time you got up in the morning and said, Good morning, Jesus? It's as simple as that. When was the last time you got up? You just looked into nothing and just smiled and said, Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful day. When was the last time you reached out to saying hi, Jesus, good morning? before going to a newspaper or your phone or Instagram or your tab or whatever it is that you do. Just look around and say, Thank you, Lord. Look around. And you will know you have so many things to be delightful about. Just look around you and thank Jesus for that. And the Bible says that's all you need to do, and he will give you the desires of your heart, amen. Hallelujah. Delight yourself in the Lord. Do you know his word? Do you know what he means? Do you know what is Jesus' core? Read his word, you'll understand him, and you'll delight in him, and he will delight in you. That's even better. Hallelujah. And then the third pillar of the foundation is commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him, and he shall bring it to pass. Amen. Hallelujah. It's as simple as the way it is put. Commit your way to the Lord. That means you have a plan. If you commit it to him and you trust him with it, he shall bring it to pass. I'm adding a disclaimer over here. Your plans are nothing like Jesus's. So if you want to go to Jesus with your plan, I think you might be limiting what God wants to do for you. But he will still do it for you. That's what this passage of scripture says. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he shall bring it to pass. It's as simple as that. The problem is you could be asking for something really small when he wants to give you an entire country, a nation. The GDP of 10 countries put together, and you'll be asking for a few dollars, a few pounds, a few euros here and there. That's the disclaimer that I have. But hey, the word of God says, commit your way to the Lord, which means you take it and you leave it at his feet. You take your plans and you leave it at his feet. And if and and according to this word, Psalm 37, 5, it says, if you trust him, he will bring it to pass. Hallelujah. It's so simple. The problem is we're not used to simplicity. Hallelujah. He shall bring it to pass. It does not even say he might. He'll consider, he'll look at what time of the year it is. No, it just says that he shall bring it to pass. Hallelujah. And I told you, I'm giving you a foundation this morning, and it's very simple. Number one, trust in the Lord. Dwell in the land and enjoy his faithfulness because he's always faithful. You know, there's a passage of scripture that says, we remain faithless, but he remains faithful. In life, you lose him a few years, maybe a few months, a few days, the lesser the better. But he's waiting there because he says, I'm standing at the door and knocking. Anyway, delight yourself in the Lord. Enjoy him. Enjoy his presence. Thank him for everything that you've got. Say good morning, Jesus. Good morning, Holy Spirit. Good morning, Father. Know his word. Understand who he is. The Bible says he sings over you. Do you even know what that means? Can you imagine a song being made for you by the Creator of heaven and earth? You'll only know it if you delight in him. And then commit your way to the Lord. Just leave it. And he will bring it to pass. If that's not a foundation in life, there's nothing else that can be. Hallelujah. And as I said, while you set this new foundation in thought and you try to make it into a practice from this day on, I really urge you to do that because it's the word of God. And I told you it's uh it's so beautiful because Jesus says, I will bless you, I will bless you. And then the psalm is giving you the foundation on how to be blessed. And today from the book of wisdom, I want to tell you this morning that if you follow this foundation, and as I said, please go and read it in your own time. Psalm 37, 3, 4,

Blessing Without Sorrow

and 5. And let me tell you what the book of wisdom says to you and me this morning, aligned to this foundation, Proverbs 10 22. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds. No sorrow with it. Amen. So when I trust in the Lord, I leave everything at his feet. I delight in him every morning. I leave my plans with him. He will bless you. He will make you rich. And he will add no sorrow to it. No sorrow. Do you know what it's like to go through life without sorrow? The thing is, we're so soaked in the things of the world that we lose focus on the throne. But if you say focused on the throne, that's where Jesus is, that's where God is seated. He doesn't move. That's his faithfulness. He will make you rich and he will add no sorrow to it. And this for somebody this morning, I believe you're at some sort of a crossroad. And you're not sure about the right route

God Gives Increase And Direction

or the path that needs to be taken. I want to tell you, don't worry, but listen to the uh the answer from God this beautiful day. 1 Corinthians 3.7. And understand it this beautiful morning. 1 Corinthians 3.7 that says, So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives increase. Hallelujah. So it doesn't matter who you go and talk to, who you take your advice from, your smarts, your bosses' input, your team's hard work, your BFF's feedback, your rich uncle's advice, they're all nothing because growth comes from the Lord. Growth belongs to the Lord. It is God who will give you the increase. Hallelujah. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths. How beautiful will it be for Jesus to direct your path. Have you ever thought of that? I'll tell you the ultimate tug of war in life is we want our plans. And we've never tried His plans because His plans sometimes can make you uncomfortable. His plans can sometimes take you from one position and put you in another one that you've not seen. I believe that's the tug of war in life. And that's why sometimes it's very difficult to let go. So today I want to give you with this beautiful foundation that King David understood. And I want to tell you something. It's something that King David understood even before he was appointed or anointed as King. And that's the reason why he had written the Psalms, he knew God at a different level. Can you imagine standing in front of a lion and a bear and trusting in the Lord, saying, I know I will destroy this enemy. Because the Lord is my shepherd. Hallelujah. I want to tell you in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. And this is for someone this morning. Take this beautiful blessing and accept it. From Psalm 16:6, again, a psalm of David, the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. I have a beautiful inheritance. Amen. Hallelujah. I want to tell you this beautiful morning. When you put Jesus at the front of your life, when you put Jesus at the helm of everything, when you put Jesus and leave everything at his feet, your wonderful plans, when you acknowledge everything as his, I want to tell you that's when, and that's when you will come in and go out, and you will see pastures, you will leave everything at his feet, and your lines will fall in pleasant places. You will have a beautiful inheritance aligned with the word of God that says he knows the plans he has for you and the thoughts he has towards you, even the thoughts he has towards you. They are that of peace and well-being, and that with a hope and a

Prayer And Final Blessing

future and prosperity and not of calamity. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Thank you for this beautiful time. I thank you, Lord, for a double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for all. I thank you for a beautiful word today. Thank you, Jesus, that you are in control. I thank you, Lord, because of which we trust in you, we acknowledge you. We delight ourselves in you. We leave everything at your feet. Thank you, Lord, for the plans that you have for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Plans with a hope and a future, Lord. Plans that do not have calamity, plans of well-being and prosperity. Thank you, Jesus, for being faithful, though we remain faithless. Thank you, Lord, that you are the wonderful true shepherd who entered through the sheepfold. We are your sheep, we know your name. We hear your voice. When you call unto us, we know it is you. And because of that, our lines have fallen into pleasant places. We have a goodly inheritance, a beautiful inheritance in your name. Thank you, Jesus, for this beautiful time. Thank you, Jesus, for the beautiful foundation you have given us. Thank you, Lord, this beautiful morning. We delight ourselves in you. We leave everything at your feet. We give you glory and honor and thank you for what you have done. We join in the angels at heaven, constantly singing, holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Horthy is your name, O Lord. Thank you for your beautiful presence that people can feel. Thank you for opening the floodgates of heaven in so many areas of people's lives that they will see the change, they will know it is you, they will leave everything at your feet, they will acknowledge you as their father, and you shall direct their paths. Thank you for this beautiful time now. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
