The Invitation

A lot of people know the name Jesus. Fewer have paused to truly consider who He is, why He came, what He offers, and what it means to respond to Him personally.

This episode starts with an introduction to Jesus as He is revealed in the Bible — from His very introduction to the world, to the names given to Him, the promises fulfilled through Him, and the declaration made by God Himself:

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus was not simply another teacher, prophet, or historical figure. He was the fulfilment of God's promise of salvation — the One who willingly laid down His life so that we could receive everlasting life.

But who is Jesus to you?

Is He someone you know about, or someone you have truly allowed into your life?

There is secret revealed in this simple but powerful statement from Jesus in John 14:23:

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

Why We Start With Jesus

Today I want to get straight into the word of God and I want to tell you about Jesus. And in fact, I want to uh spend some time this beautiful morning acquainting you with some aspects of Jesus, uh, of Jesus, acquainting you with some of the wonderful things that happened around Jesus when he came on our planet. And it's a prelude to the crux of the word today. So pay attention and you know, uh be with me this beautiful morning as we go through this journey. And I try to get you to know Jesus more through the word of God. Hallelujah.

Gabriel Names Jesus And His Kingdom

So most of you know that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit unto uh somebody by the name of Mary, who was a virgin, and she was betrothed to marry this person called uh Joseph, who was a carpenter. And this is beautiful interaction that I want to start with this morning that happens between Mary and an angel, Gabriel, where she's told about the plan of God for her, and about this child that is about to come on this planet. Hallelujah. And it comes from the book of Luke, the first chapter, the 31st verse onwards. And Gabriel starts with saying, Greetings, favored one. And you know, Mary gets afraid and he says, Don't be afraid. And then from the 31st verse onwards, he tells her, and behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, and he will be great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High. Hallelujah. And the Lord will give him the throne of his father David, he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. This is the first time that we get to know of this name Jesus, through the angel Gabriel, who has come to Mary to tell her that she's about to bear a son. Hallelujah! And he shall call, and she shall call him Jesus, and his name will be great, and he will be called the Son of the Most High, and of his kingdom there will be no end. Hallelujah. How beautiful is that! So you know, Mary's a virgin, she's not been with a man, she's betrothed to marry this person by the name of Joseph. She gets Gabriel coming to her and telling her that you're going to bear a son and his name is Jesus, he's going to be the Son of God, and of his kingdom there will be no end. Hallelujah. And I told you, this is I just want to acquaint you with Jesus this morning first before I get into the main aspect of the word. And then, of course, you know, Jesus is born. Most of you know the story, he's in a manger, there's no place in the inn. And you know, shepherds are called, wise men are called, and they are told about the savior who is born, and they come from afar just to see this child in a manger wrapped in swaddling cloth. Hallelujah. And then there's something else that happens, and I'm I I'm not getting into that part where he's in a manger, and I'm just getting into another part now where he's a little older.

Simeon Holds The Savior

The Bible does not exactly give timelines and the age, but it so happens that his parents, Mary and Joseph, have taken him to the city to follow rituals that are basically part of the law. And the Bible says there's a man called Simeon, and the Bible calls him a just and devout man, which means a fair man and a holy man. And the Bible says he had the Holy Spirit upon him. And let me tell you something about Simeon. He's only in one book in the Bible, and Simeon is told by the Holy Spirit. The Bible says he had the Holy Spirit upon him, and Simeon is told by the Holy Spirit that he will not die until he sees the Savior. Hallelujah. How cool is that! It is revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he has seen the Lord's Christ, the Bible says. Hallelujah. And the Bible says he happens to be at the temple when Mary and Joseph bring Jesus as per the customs and the law. And you have to understand, Jesus is just a boy, and he sees Jesus, and he takes him up in his arms, the Bible says, hallelujah. And the book of Luke, the second chapter, the 29th verse onwards, it says, Now, Lord, you are letting your bondservant depart in peace according to your word. For my eyes have seen your salvation. Hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah! How beautiful is that! Hallelujah! A just and devout man called Simeon, who's blessed by the Holy Spirit, and he's told that you will not see death until you see the Lord's Christ. And he happens to be in the temple when Mary and Joseph bring Jesus there. And he sees Jesus and takes him up in his arms. He's just a boy. Hallelujah. And then he thanks God that now he will depart in peace because he has seen the Lord's salvation as was promised. Hallelujah.

Anna Recognizes Redemption

And then immediately after this, there's another aspect of somebody by the name of Anna. She's a prophetess, the Bible says. And it comes immediately after the story of Simeon. And the Bible says that she was of great age and she uh was a widow for many years. It says she was married to someone, and uh, you know, he's no more, and she's a widow almost 77 odd years, 70 something. I'm not getting into that. And the Bible says she was a widow and she did not depart for the temple from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day. That means she stayed there, she fasted and prayed for the Lord. I'm not getting into fasting and praying because that's a whole new topic. But it says she was there day and night, serving God with fasting and prayers. Hallelujah. And it's right after the uh the story of Simeon, which is the 36th verse onwards. And the Bible says, when she so obviously she's in the temple all the time because it says that she was praying and fasting day and night. And when she sees Jesus coming into the temple, in that instance, she gave thanks to God and spoke of him for all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Hallelujah. Somebody who's praying and fasting day and night, I can tell you, will have the spirit in them. And the moment the spirit, this lady saw Jesus, Anna, the prophetess, who had dedicated her life to God, saw Jesus, she gives thanks to God and goes out and speaks about him to everyone in Jerusalem who was looking for redemption. He's just a boy. Hallelujah. And now

Baptism And The Heavenly Voice

I'm jumping a few years ahead to a time of John the Baptist, and most of you know John the Baptist. John the Baptist is baptizing people in water. And this is time when there are many people around. And John the Baptist is baptizing people, and Jesus comes there. Hallelujah. And I'm reading it to you from the book of Luke, the third chapter, the 22nd verse onwards. And the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven. You are my beloved son. In you I am well pleased. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. John the Baptist had many followers, and he was baptizing people in water. And suddenly Jesus comes to him to get baptized. And there's this interaction between the two of them, which I, as I said, I'm not getting into today. And then suddenly the Bible says the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form, like a dove upon Jesus, and a voice came from heaven. In you I am well pleased. Hallelujah. The Holy Spirit comes down upon Jesus in bodily form, the Bible says. Everyone who had come to get baptized by John saw it. And there's a voice from heaven. And you I'm well pleased. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you, it's after this that Jesus actually began his ministry, his work, starting from his own city of Galilee. Hallelujah. And let me tell you what the Bible says. When

Healing Ministry And The Point Of It

Jesus was walking among the cities where he started doing his work from the book of Matthew, the 23rd chapter, the fourth chapter, I'm sorry, the 23rd verse. Hallelujah. Jesus is preaching in Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all kinds of diseases, all kinds of sickness among the people. Hallelujah. And then the Bible even goes on to say, because after that, he started moving on to the surrounding regions. And then the Bible says, and I'm I'm quoting from the Bible, and then his fame went throughout all Syria. And they brought to him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments. And those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them all. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Wow, this is truly amazing. And some of you can experience Jesus at this moment as I speak, and I want to tell you, I wanted to start with acquainting you with Jesus and telling you about the things that happened around him even before he was even here. I actually have a very short word today, but you need to, as I said, stick to the lines, and then you'll understand the true meaning of the word for you this morning. And Gabriel comes to Mary, who's a virgin, and says, There will be a son. You will bear a son and you will call him Jesus. His kingdom will have no end. He is the son of the most high. And then there's the story of Simeon and Anna, who were there when Jesus was just a boy, and they see him. And then there's John the Baptist who comes to baptize Jesus, and the Spirit of God comes upon him like a dove upon Jesus. And the heavens speak. The voice from heaven says, This is my beloved son. This is my beloved son. This is my beloved son. Could you miss any of that? In him I am well pleased. Hallelujah. And then Jesus begins his work and he goes to cities, and the Bible says, every disease, all diseases, all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Something that was never experienced before, something that was never seen before. And people who were tormented, who were demon-possessed, who were epileptics, paralytics, and he healed them all. Hallelujah. He healed them all. What beautiful, amazing things happened when Jesus was here. There are instances where Jesus even brought the dead back to life. Hallelujah. And I told you, I'm starting with acquainting you with Jesus, and everywhere he went, there's just amazing stuff happening. Wherever Jesus is, amazing things are happening. Before he was called, amazing things have happened. And I want to tell you this morning, why wouldn't it? Why wouldn't it when his time came and the heavens opened and the father says, He's my beloved son? Hallelujah. And why would it not happen? Because he came down, I want to tell you, just for one reason was the salvation of mankind. And from then till now, multiple things have happened, and multiple stories have come in, and multiple versions of multiple variants of stories, and have diluted why Jesus came on this planet. But today I want to give you a secret. So for those of you who know Jesus, already know all of these aspects that I shared with you. And for those of you who don't know Jesus, today you've been acquainted a little better to Jesus, the Son of God. And as I said, today I want to give you a secret. This is a beautiful passage of scripture, and you should understand it in your spirit, and it will take you to another realm with God, another level with God.

John 14:23 And God’s Dwelling

And this is Jesus Himself speaking from the book of John, the 14th chapter, the 23rd verse, and this is the crux of today's word. The book of John, the 14th chapter, the 23rd verse. And as you know, Jesus used to explain things to his disciples, and he's telling them, if anyone loves me, and listen to this this morning, this is for you. If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Hallelujah. If anyone loves me, anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come to him, and we will make our home with him. Oh hallelujah! Oh hallelujah. This is an amazing passage of scripture. If you love Jesus, if you love Jesus, you will live your life on this planet by his word, you will meditate on his word, you will follow his word, is basically what Jesus means when he's saying, Those who love me will keep my word. That's what Jesus means when he's explaining it. And because of that, now because you keep his word and because you love him, now the father will love you. There's a reason why the scriptures in the Bible, here is my beloved son. Hallelujah. Some of you can feel the presence of Jesus. Here's my beloved son, I'm well pleased with him. And now the father is telling you and me this morning: anyone who loves him, I will love. And now, listen to this passage of scripture. This is amazing. The father will love him, and we, which is the which is the father and Jesus, will come to him and make a home with him. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Amen. The father and Jesus will come to you and make your they will make their home with you. That means they will be with you. Hallelujah. There's no mincing of words in this passage of scripture that have come out from the Son, the Most High. And it's crystal clear. And it's so easy to miss this passage of scripture that if you love Jesus this morning, and hey, you'll say, I didn't come from this religion. I only know Jesus as a name. The Bible says, if anyone loves me, hallelujah. He will keep my word, he will attempt to keep my word. Jesus understands everything. He will understand that your journey with him is also it's a journey, isn't it? We've all had journeys and relationships. And he's basically saying this morning if anyone loves me, my father and I will love him, and we will come and make a home with him. Do you even understand the meaning of the scripture? It means that Jesus and the Father will come and make their home with you. AKA your home is their home. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I tell you, you have to make a decision today. You see, love is genuine, it cannot be faked. Of course, people can fake love, but you can't fake it with God. So if you just if you decide that I'm going to make a decision today to get to know Jesus a bit more, when you get to know Jesus, you'll get you'll you will love him. There's no doubt about it. And when you genuinely start loving God and loving Jesus for what he has done, for what he came down on this planet to do, I'll tell you something. Most people will not take a cut on their hand for you. Leave aside, get up on a cross and be spat on and you know, called names and hit on the head and put a crown of thorns upon, and then after that, be nailed to a cross, nailed to a cross for you. Nobody will do that. So I want to tell you that's how much love he had for you. And you have to make a decision today to decide whether you want to love him or not. And as I said, love is genuine. When you love someone, it's genuine. It can have layers, yes, but it's genuine. So you see, basically, there's I've told you multiple times in the Bible, everything is correlated. Everything, one thing is related to the next. And he says, I behold, I stand at the door and I knock. That's exactly what he means. I'm waiting for you, I've done everything for you. So if you understood today, this morning, the crux of the word, that when you decide to love Jesus, the Father and He will come and live with you. It's not put in any other way. You can go and read any version you like. And I take up that challenge this beautiful morning. Go and read any version you like. It says, Our dwelling, our dwelling, our dwelling. The Father and me, Jesus says, our dwelling will be with him. Oh, hallelujah. What a beautiful passage of scripture. Let me tell you something else. From the book of James 1:17, this just kind of solidifies it, saying that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. Hallelujah. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. God sent us a gift. Jesus was a gift unto us, the perfect gift of love. And comes down from the Father of lights, the Bible says, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning, which means he does not budge, he does not change his word. He is the same, the Bible says, yesterday, today, and forevermore. And if you love Jesus, he will love you, and Jesus and He will come and live with you. And when they come and live with you, I want to tell you this beautiful morning. Every good gift and every perfect gift that comes from heaven is now living in your home. Hallelujah. Amen. Every perfect gift and every good gift, if the Bible says perfect and good, you can only imagine how perfect and how good it will be. And that gift will live with you every day of your life. Hallelujah! And this is for someone here. You're thinking, you know, I've um I've loved Jesus. I know I've loved Jesus, and there's no doubt about it. I know your heart is genuine, and so does He. My thought does not even matter here.

Trust Over Understanding

And this is for you, this beautiful morning, uh, morning from Proverbs 3, 5 and 6. Mark it down. From Proverbs 3, 5 and 6, which says, Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. Probably you're going through something, and you have loved the Lord, you have loved Jesus. So trust in the Lord today, in this in the situation that you're in with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding because it's your understanding that's probably getting you to fuss the situation in your head. So leave it, and in everything you do, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Because He is with you. The Bible says, I'm always at your right hand. And don't doubt it, because He is always at your right hand, and that's not it, it doesn't end there. As I said, this is for someone in particular. Maybe you're dealing with something, I'm not sure. Trust in Him. Don't lean on your understanding because our understanding is limited to what the world tells us. In all your ways, acknowledge Him. In everything you do, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. And let me tell you, what's the meaning of when He directs your paths? Psalm 65, 11 says, You crown the year with your goodness, your paths, fatness and abundance. Hallelujah. Amen. When the creator of heaven and earth lives with you, I want to tell you, He will crown your year with goodness, and the parts that he directs you through will drip with abundance. NKJV calls it abundance, another version calls fatness, which is nothing else but the fat portions of the meat, which is what God sees as more than meat. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I want to tell you this beautiful morning. All good things will abide in you. All good things will abide in you. For anyone, Jesus said, when his disciple asked him, I'm not getting into that particular story, because when he turned around and he asked him, he said, if anyone loves me, anyone loves me.

Choosing Love That Turns Into Presence

Anyone loves me. This beautiful day I'm telling you, you need to sit down, close that door. Actually, the Bible says that you should shut the door when you're talking to Jesus. It can be any door, but just go into that room and shut that door. And today, just confess with your mouth, Jesus, I love you. I love you for being my father, I love you for being my friend. I love you that you came on down on this planet to die on a cross for me. I love you for that. And when you do that, I want to tell you, it's it's just it's a it's a catalytic reaction. It's beautiful. Just understand it. Don't put your science and your knowledge and your wisdom, your worldly rubbish to it. Just understand it this beautiful morning. When you put your love onto Jesus, the Father's love comes onto you. And then there's another reaction that happens to that. They both come and live in your home. Can you even imagine that it's written in the Bible that we will make that place our home? Oh, hallelujah. It's so easy to skip. I've realized I've I've probably read, I don't even know how many times I've read the book of John, but I've completely just missed this passage of scripture which says, We will come to him and make our home with him. Do you even understand the heavens will be with you in your home? And you'll say, Oh, my home is not grand enough. You don't understand the scripture then. You are the home. Hallelujah. In you will be the blessing. Amen. Amen. The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit in you, making their home with you. If you missed it, I want to tell you if anyone loves me, I'm reading it again from John 14 23. This should be plastered on the wall of your home. And we will come to him and make a home with him. Hallelujah. This beautiful day. Understand the scripture. And when he makes your home with you, he will guide your path. And when he guides your path, as I said, leave your understanding aside. Because sometimes we at this point where we want something our way. Hey, I don't this is not what I wanted. Yes, but that's the plan of God because now he lives with you, he's guiding your home. He's your shield and buckler. Under his wings, you take refuge. You're not walking this planet in flesh, you're walking a spiritual battle, and now he is directing your paths, and your paths will drip abundance. Amen. Hallelujah.

Prayer And Sending Blessing

I'd like to pray. Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful word. Lord, I thank you for your double-edged sword that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that you're watching over your word to perform it on this beautiful day. I thank you that people are standing up and confessing that they love you. Oh, I love you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for what you did on that cross for us. Thank you, Lord, for coming down on this planet for us. Thank you for always being there for us. Thank you for never leaving nor forsaking us. And when we love you this beautiful morning, align to your beautiful word from John 14 23. And we love you, O Lord. You will come along with the Father and make your home with us. Hallelujah. Oh hallelujah. Some of you will feel the presence of Jesus, some of you are feeling the presence of Jesus. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. This day we leave everything at your feet. We lean not on our own understanding. But you direct our paths. You take control. Lead us to places that are higher than us, Lord. Thank you, Jesus, for our paths that drip flatness. Thank you, Jesus. That you're going ahead and making crooked paths straight in certain situations for people. Thank you for this beautiful time, Lord. People can feel your presence. Thank you for being faithful, though. Some of us are faithless, Lord. And thank you for this beautiful day where people's hearts are changing and turning onto you. And they will know and they will see and be radiant. Hallelujah. Just as Simeon did, he was radiant and happy. And he knew and saw your salvation on this beautiful day. People will see your salvation when they turn to you. As you will come and live with them. Hallelujah. Thank you for this beautiful time, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
